  1. This is not about a built in voip but allowing a third party voice program to read where your character is in game and tell the other people in your server where you are so that the program can make it sound like they are in that direction.
  2. Since it is a plugin for Mumble that is tailored to SWTOR this is not a problem. Edit: Cross-posted over to CS to see if i cant get a quicker answer.
  3. Would a plugin for the popular open-source VoIP program 'Mumble' be in violation of the EUALA. The features of such a plugin would allow for positional audio based on a player and other players in the same mumble server. This concept is detailed here http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Positional-Audio. 1. The article describes the interaction as "The Mumble client can use a specially crafted plugin to peek into the memory of a game to get the needed information. This approach is done from outside of the program." From what I have read this is not strictly prohibited under the EUALA as it does not monitor game traffic and does not modify the game in any way nor give any advantage. In my experience, this variety of feature can increase game immersion when playing with friends and guilds. How much more immersive would it be to hear your guild all around you in a large raid setting? 2. If a plugin were made and not deemed a violation; would anyone have any interest in using this?
  4. I see nothing to complain about after testing. The roll is fabulous. That said i don't see it making it to live as it is. We, with 2.0 as is, will be *the* most mobile class in game by far regardless of spec. This is a far cry from being the least mobile before the sneak sprint was added for scrapper. This combined with the quality of life changes in energy management make the class competitive again. I have to agree here. Unguarded (before the bolster bug ruined testing), My sawbones was basically impossible to kill.
  5. <Mortis Famulor> http://www.mortisfamulor.com For those interested in a smaller quality based guild. Small tight-knit Republic PvP Guild primarily recruiting to fill out our RWZ group(s) and future OPvP groups. May start running mid-level PvE for those interested. MF originated on Kinrath Spider moved to The Fatman and is now here on Pot5. With the transfer opportunity we hope to pick up a few new people for Rated Warzones, Open world PvP and possibly some PvE if interest is shown. Guild Requirements: Level 50 (or Non-50 Alts) Mumble A general understanding of game mechanics. RWZ Requirements: Mumble and a Mic Battlemaster+ Geared Some time spent in guild groups Participation in theory-crafting discussion For more info: In-game Contact: Rewe, Hap, Narcissistic or Swords Visit: http://www.mortisfamulor.com
  6. Would also like some info on this. Have reserved my names on destination server just to be safe. Also reserved some other's names in the chance that I can extort some easy credits.
  7. I am a little confused here I was under the impression that each of the crafting Crew Skills would be able to crit-craft (for augment slots) for their respective gear slot. For end game PvP gear it appears that only armormech/synthweave and armstech will benefit from this and only because of the ability to move endgame gear's mods. So I guess my question is: Is it possible to get Augment slotted War-Hero Ears, Implants, Wrists, Bracers, Relics or Off-hands? And if so for any how?
  8. Here is the source's actual info. Stating that Battlemaster is 92.86% efficient relative to Rakata. This puts the DPS loss at 7.14% which is not 12.7%. This also takes into account the full Battlemaster Set not just the 4 pieces from what I can tell. Meaning that the DPS gain from expertise is based off of 653 rather than 300. 0.2*(1 - (1 - (0.01/0.2))^((B9/50)/0.72)) = 12.11% 12.11%-7.14% = 4.97% Result:BM gear relative to Rakata: +4.97% damage to players and -7.14% to non players And as to the Endurance increase a full set of Rakata (1211) endurance vs a full set of BM (1132). Meaning 79 more endurance from rakata or 790 health. At a glance 790 is roughly 12% of 6575. I personally have more than 6575 health meaning I am getting more reduction from players with BM then Gained health from Rakata. Im aware I am not comparing the exact same stat set as the OP. (full set vs not full set) but his information is at the very least misleading. If anyone sees any holes in my math tell me please (it is 4am). Edit: For fairness I'll recalculate at just the core pieces tomorrow to verify OP.
  9. 1) Acomplished sawbones is necessary. 2) I have decided that [Kolto Cloud] is too expensive IF you arent running a [Diagnostic Scan] build. The cost is just too high for just [Pugnacity]. 3)It is absolutely situational. The healing buff is only active while the damage shield is up. If you are under fire and use it to absorb damage you usually wont have time to get off more than one instant cast heal. I agree with Bomballerina on this. With this build I can generally tank/kite 2-3 people. 4)Stacking ANY alacrity has a negative effect on your power consumption. Alacrity is nice and when I fill out my BM gear I will have to have more alacrity. Alacrity is only really useful if your are running a [Diagnostic Scan] build because it then also increases your regeneration rate. BM gear comes with mandatory alacrity im just not there yet. The enhanced stealth was for the movement speed not the stealth. Scoundrel/Operative and Shadow/Assassin are the only ones that get an in-combat speed buff. This is priceless. The 50's bracket is significantly different. I agree with everything you said. When I am in a pre-made and have a pocket tank running a diagnostic scan/kolto cloud build will throw bigger numbers but for solo queues the extra survivability can help make up for being focused. I am at an awkward point in my champ/BM gear tradeout. I have all of the crit pieces between bm/champ. The next 4 spots will add power/alacrity. When the dual spec comes out i will probably have a solo build and a premade build. What is the recommended value for Crit value & surge now?
  10. I have healed in every MMO I have played. I have PvPed in every MMO I have played. I have been playing sawbones since late beta. This is what I have come up with. I tend to be focused when I am against organized groups and I prefer to roll with a pocket tank(who doesn't). I feel that my setup is better than most however there are not many sawbones healers to compare to. Tell me what I'm doing wrong or right. I am still missing 4-5 pieces of battlemaster so the stats are not final. I do feel that Sawbones is lacking in some areas (Kolto Cloud is exceptionally weak and we are the easiest to interrupt of all healers) but this setup plays to the Scoundrel's strengths.
