  1. Sorry for the late post, I meant to do this two weeks ago! From what I've seen so far I think Sil is going to come off better here. He's planned this down to a tee, has three very capable commanders and the firepower his fleet can unleash is awfully large. To make it worse, there's also the Adept's to factor in... Overall, I think J's downfall is simply time. IIRC, reinforcements never arrive that quickly in a space battle, and while his fleet can at least put up a fight against the EL fleet, I don't think his reinforcements will arrive before Sil leaves. I don't really have any idea what the casualty rate will be, but my best guess is that it would be fairly high. That said, on the off-chance said reinforcements actually arrive... well, this becomes more interesting due to the RF's 3 SSD's. Even with them though, the Inevitable shouldn't go down too quickly. The Long Arms on the other hand... To be honest I'm not too sure of how accurate my write up is, but this is what I think based on my limited knowledge. Off-topic: The Fairy Tail manga just ended.
  2. Thanks a lot for all of the recommendations, I'll make sure to check them out. That said, I'm curious as to what the difference is between Sniper/Slinger Lethality/Dirty Fighting and the Operative/Scoundrel Lethality/Dirty Fighting. Is there a specific reason why you think the latter is harder? I'm not really sure about operations at this point, I think I'm going to try some solo PVE stuff first, I don't really want to drag a team down if my skills aren't up for the challenge. I'll check out guides if I plan on it though, and I'll definitely check out an AP Powertech/Vanguard, it sounds almost perfect. Thanks a lot for the advice. No problem at all haha, if anything I appreciate the perspective because it did sound too good to be true. I'd also prefer to know that it does have some intricacy now rather than getting to 70 and thinking that I'm just bad at it lol. In general I just want to say a big thanks to everyone who has replied so far, I didn't think I'd really get much help on this so I really do appreciate the quality advice you've all given me.
  3. Ah, thanks, I'll probably main a Sniper/Gunslinger then, unless someone else tells me about an easy melee rotation. Yeah, that was actually the spec that made me realize I couldn't tank to save my life. Thanks a lot man, your advice was fantastic.
  4. Ah, sorry about not specifying why I use one hand, I'm physically disabled too. I have hemiplegia and dystonia which affects my left arm and left leg, so I only use my right hand to operate the keyboard. I don't actually use a gaming mouse, I use a keysonic keyboard: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Keysonic-ACK-540U-Keyboard-Integrated-Touchpad/dp/B0013DFJA4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1492203835&sr=8-3&keywords=keysonic+mini+keyboard The layout lets me reach the numbers + ASWD and a few other keys. It's relieving to know that there's another physically disabled gamer out there, I didn't really think there would be someone else who would get the annoyances of one handed SWTOR gaming. So the easiest is a merc/commando... what would you say is the easiest class rotation wise that stays with 10m to 4m? I prefer melee combat to ranged tbh. Also, if I had to go ranged do you think Sniper/Gunslinger would be doable? I just don't really like the look of the commando/merc. Sorry for the bombardment of questions, and thanks for the great answers so far.
  5. Sorry if there's already a thread like this, I tried searching but nothing came up. I'm wondering what the easiest spec is in the game for people that can only use one hand? I've heard that the Marksman spec for the Sniper/Gunslinger is pretty easy but can get boring. I won't be doing any PvP and I don't think I'd be any good at tanking or healing. Ideally I'd prefer to play a more mobile and fun class, but the ease of rotation takes priority. I'd really appreciate any advice.
  6. I'm definitely interested, I'd love for Conquest to return especially.
  7. Fair points, I like that he admits it's difficult and doesn't use the Dark Side like a switch.
  8. As the poster above me said, there are two sides to the Force, the Daughter and the Son represent the Light and Dark respectively. If anything, the Mortis arc PROVES that there are two sides to the Force. Another bit of information that supports there being two sides of the Force is how Bane, Revan and Plagueis all state that drawing from the Dark Side has a completely different feeling than drawing from the Light. As for saying that only people who study both discover their true potential, that is only true to an extent. The novel Yoda: Dark Rendezvous explains how much power Yoda would likely have as a user of both sides but it also shows that Yoda would be drastically different in a bad way, in that he would have fallen and lost balance. This example applies to plenty of Jedi and Sith, they would gain power but would change completely. In addition, there are a few Jedi and Sith that outclass Revan and other "Grey" Force users despite them sticking to their path. Edit: Didn't see your post above, I'll reply later.
  9. Anakin too, his fall pretty much started in AotC, it simply concluded in RotS.
  10. I agree, Valky is clearly talking bs claiming that he's above Sith and Jedi when he basically is still a Sith. As for Arcann, agreed as well.
  11. Thanks, it's true that practically all of the "gray" Force users are results of RPG's, I don't really feel to passionate about it, I just find it strange that these characters (Katarn I kinda understand, never understood the Revan love) have so many fans despite their main gimmick making no sense and having loads of canonical evidence against it.
  12. I don't really like that view of the Force tbh, I get that it's supposed to be more like real life morals applied to the Force but... I feel like the person who wrote that bit forgot that the Dark Side literally tempts and corrupts people. I think I actually have Jedi Academy, Plague Inc has been eating up my time.
  13. Going by what starwarsfansix said, I'd guess that managing to use both the Light and Dark depends on character and ideology. Thanks for the info, both of you, I'm not too familiar on Katarn and Korr tbh. I think it goes something like: using the Dark and Light is risky but so long as they're cautious and aren't tempted by negative emotions/power they can stick to their ideology. (This is based on all of the examples so far) Do you guys think that's accurate?
  14. I don't know that much about Katarn or Korr but AFAIK didn't both of them only use Dark Side abilities rarely?
