I am a mercenary and am currently speccing into DPS. However, healing does interest me. I was wondering if anyone could let me know how different the play styles are. Is one more fun then the other? Can a healing merc still level well? Or should i stay DPS till 50? I am currently lvl 24 BTW. I was hoping for some I insite before I spent some credits on respeccing.

First of all, a playground is probably the only MMO(RL)RPG a ten year old should be playing. Second, if they got rid of the elites that would only serve to give validity to the "this is a single player game" whinners.

Yeah the "this is a single player game" crowd are ridiculous. 1. This is only a single player game if you choose to play it that way. Which some actually do. However this will mean having to skip some quests or at least waiting till you've outleveled them in order to solo them. 2. Just because a mission is soloable doesn't mean you have to solo it. In an actual single player game you do not have the option to group with other players. You can in SWToR because it is an MMO. TADA!!! 3. If anyone claims they have solo'd every single quest in this game, while at the quest's appropriate lvl range, I will flat out call them a liar. there are some tough quests that need a group in order to complete them. Conclusion: A. Can SWTOR be played as a single player game? Yes, it can with the understanding that you would have to skip a fair amount of content. B. Is SWTOR a single player game rather then an MMO? Absolutely not.

Agreed. Same sever LFD and dual speccing within your AC does not hurt a game. It's just added functionality.
