  1. I'm speaking specifically in PvP as I do not PvE. If you know what you are doing, a merc can be downed in under a minute, easily. It's this concept of staying on a target while they have defensive cooldowns on that seems so difficult for people to grasp. While in most cases this simply makes your damage against them ineffective, the merc changes actually punish people for being stupid and continuing to dps through cds. Simply attack a merc until they pop cds, then either cc them or switch targets until they are over. It's really that simple. If you are taking the kolto overcharge talent you are invariably giving up either 30% stun and AoE dmg reduction or another buff to energy shield (power shield). Both of these talents also have merit to them. Not everyone even takes the kolto overload buff. You can kill though it too, don't pretend like you can't. It is ignorant to say that because you can't immediately 1v1 a class then it is overpowered. Mercs can easily be 1v1d if you simply pay attention to cooldowns and don't let them take advantage of the heals. I don't know how else I can say it. If you're going to compare each individual talent for all classes to a merc then why not just get rid of classes altogether? Everyone is now a lvl 70 outlander with all the same talents and abilities. Maybe then people can finally give up critical thinking altogether and just mash buttons to their heart's content.
  2. Couldn't agree more. All these whiners seem to be ignorant of the fact that 2 of the 3 things they are complaining about require the enemy to continually perform single-target attacks against the mercenary for them to have any effect whatsoever. The third (kolto surge) is on a 3 minute cooldown and can still be bursted through, especially with trauma. I think people are just mad that they can't mindlessly tunnel a mercenary anymore and be rewarded for it. Learn to play.
  3. Question about the gearing system. If hard mode and master mode Operations award their corrosponding difficulty gear tokens, will you be able to bypass your command rank tier gear in this way? For example, say I'm on a command rank 20 character and I just go beast mode and down a master level operations boss. Will I then be able to immediately purchase item rating 242 tier 3 gear with that token even though I have yet to reach tier 3 in command ranks?
  4. TL;DR - Started picking out a few exceptional players from each class as I leveled them all and combined all the knowledge from each to become better. Hmm... I was an exclusively PvE sorc for the longest time but I started solo queuing for warzones about 6 months in and got absolutely steamrolled by the only 8 pubs that queued on my origin server (shoutout to those still playing from sith meditation sphere). I decided that PvP was far more entertaining and challenging than anything PvE could ever produce so I dove in headfirst. I started creating new characters to keep the game fresh and I always searched for someone who knew the class inside and out to talk about rotation, gearing, specs, anything that seemed helpful. I asked so many people questions most of the names now escape me. Gradually I built up all 8 AC's and felt at least competent on all of them (While I definitely had my favorites). Having such incredible players as Xa'vuy, Dr'Venkman, Jalgo, and Diavola to talk with and play with has been great though. Xa'vuy has the multitasking skills of a supercomputer. Dr'Venkman is the most objectively aware player I've ever seen and is superb at making plays. Jalgo is a beastly dps on whatever toon he plays and it's great to work with him in ranked. Diavola is right up there with Xa'vuy at being able to multitask and predict the incoming damage and make smart cc's and workshop new strats with. Overall, these are the people that inspire me to continue to strive to improve.
  5. I don't take pics of every little exchange due to the frequency of such events. You can keep believing that DS queue syncs or whatever you want but it doesn't change the fact that you got farmed like the crops you are whenever you queued. In summary. You're trash erd, noldoto, and whoever that third guy is. Queue up or shut up. Kthx. As a side note, shout out to the members of TDR that have been queueing group ranked lately. Ggs
  6. That's exactly my point... Queue up so it isn't a small pond. How do you not get this? Either put your money where your mouth is, or learn your place and be quiet.
  7. The game might not be dead if fine people such as yourself would queue up.
  8. Serious white knighting going on over here haha. I couldn't care less what you terrible players think about me. I only noticed this post because a guldie remarked to me how laughable it all was. I don't check the forums otherwise. Since swtor is thankfully the only medium where I am forced to interact with you, it is the only thing that is relevant to this conversation. Obviously erdface was so incredibly lays potato chips about that incident he felt it necessary to whisper me not only that day but for the coming few weeks. Judging from his post he's still mad about it. I'm just calling you people out for being bad. Once again, queue ranked if you want to prove me wrong.
  9. You kids are funny. Hey erd remember when I farmed you so hard when I was solo queuing on my Merc you sat at the pylon and then started logging and whispering me on your alts? I dont even know who you are, other bad. The sea of non-factors tide rises and falls so often I can't keep track of all the trash. Salt level for you both - Dead Sea Queue ranked
  10. Hey, You guys want to hear a joke? Erdface. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA Seriously. I outclass nearly everyone on this server on all 8 classes no matter the spec. You want to prove me wrong? Queue ranked.
  11. I haven't tested it specifically but I'm pretty sure the gunslinger diversion does actually include a larger area. Hopefully I am mistaken and it's just a visual bug. Nonetheless, I don't understand how this hasn't been remedied yet.
  12. The diversion skill for snipers and gunslingers - while stated to be the same, has a massive size discrepancy. The gunslinger diversion effects roughly twice the area that a sniper diversion does. How has this issue not yet been corrected, it gives gunslingers a tangible advantage in PvP especially.
