  1. I have had the same problem. I did it no problem on my Shadow, but I died 6 times on my sentinel before I pulled T7 out on guard mode. The boss focused on t7 and I could kill him. Apparently when the ohko attack is focused on you, you can't dodge it fast, but if he's focusing on your companion, you can run just fine. Also that attack went off 3 times during the fight and T7 didn't die. So maybe guard comps can't die from it. It worked for me at least.
  2. You have to talk to the guy to get the quest in the first place. Go to the fleet, and open you maps. Make sure quests are being tracked and look for the triangles on the map. That will show you where to find the quest giver for advanced training.
  3. Nope, spam flashpoints and always choose the darkside points. That's how you can "easily" switch from alignment to the next.
  4. At least you're in the queue, I've lost the one computer that could run TOR, so now I haven't been able to play my EGA, nor will I be able to play the game, until I can manage to pay all the bills that I owe for the rest of the year before I can justify buying a new computer and paying for a subscription. I do seriously feel for people who have long queues. It's not fun I'm sure. From my perspective it would be preferable, but not fun.
  5. I believe the only thing you get is the color crystal until the 20th, then the rest will come in your in game mail. At least that's the rumor that's been going around the forums lately. I'm in the same boat.
  6. There's a lot of them that haven't posted yet. I know that there was a thread with a poll that was in the earlier forums, and out of I think about 5000 people who voted, more than half of them were in the 25+ bracket. Probably about 45% were younger than 25. I know it's not a completely accurate sampling of the forums, but it does kind of give you the impression that there are a lot of us in that category out here. (I'm 28 myself and I have 4 friends who will probably play the game 2 of them are about 20 and the other three are 23, 27, and I believe 25)

    MVP needs an MVO

I could go for that idea. After all, having a healer just wreck your raid on the enemy base is of worth note. Or having a Tank just make your dps crap everytime he's around; or a dps that just can't be stopped. Think of Kingdom of Heaven and how Saladin ol' what's his face with respect because he was a fierce warrior and brilliant strategist. He let him leave Jerusalem untouched because The nomadic King had come to respect his opponent. (And Saladin was like that in real life not just the movie) There are other examples of someone showing deference and respect to a noble enemy. That would be a good idea, IMNSHO.
  8. OOH! In February you'll be able to rent a car, and in another 10 years you can run for President....... I haven't reached that final benchmark yet.
  9. No, I've been playing mmo's for the past 4 years and video games for the past 24 years. I simply say SUCK IT UP AND QUIT WHINING. PEOPLE NEED TO USE THEIR FRIGGIN" BRAINS. Can I be any more clear? Cater to the stupid people and they get stupider, because they don't try to think: 'Hey, I don't have to put any effort thinking about this cause if I whine and complain enough I'll get my way and don't need to change how I do things. Seriously it's pathetic. I always double check and triple check to make sure that what I'm buying is the right one, and if I screw up, key point is I screwed up, not the company.
  10. Honestly, it's not hard to get more tokens, but seriously, my main reason is that 1.) You can sell it for gold (to the best of my knowledge) 2.) People shouldn't have their hands held for them. Making mistakes and learning from them are always better than making mistakes and griping about your own stupidity to CS who have enough legitimate problems to deal with.
  11. Umm, bosses that can't be cc'ed are common in WoW and LotRO both, I've seen it. Most elite enemies are immune to cc in the world as well in TOR. None of my CC's worked for my JK Guardian against Silvers or above. So I'd say that it was intentional. No fun if there's no challenge.
  12. Okay, because I'm bored, how many checking in from California watch the Mentalist, and have recognized some of the spots in the shows. (I'm currently watching it that's why I was wondering. This time it takes place in Rancho Murieta.)
  13. Understandable, I quit once I started getting camped by what I thought was a multi-boxer but found out later it was something else. It was 7 exact duplicates of a character (with minor variations in the name) doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. Damn druid would hit me with 7 different moonfires and wipe me in like 3 seconds. Then he would disappear and wait for me to respawn (once I waited for like half an hour) and did it again. I got pissed off when I reported him and got an answer from a gm that said "It's not a hack, it's and 'unfortunate' exploit and you'll just have to deal with it, cause we're not going to do anything about it even though we are 'sorry' you had such a 'terrible' experience." That was the first step in switching to PvE, and eventually quitting the game. Seriously, getting ganked 9 times in a row when I was simply trying to quest and mind my own business. The guy even wrecked a full tier 10 level 80 prot paly when he was only level 76, so you can imagine how 'fair' that was. Just thought I'd give it a try here once more.
