  1. Ok, off the bat I'm just going to clarify a few things. This is not a BAD MMO. BioWare have done an excellent job of making it, along with the NPC conversation mechanics. After playing the game for a while now however, I have looked past the single player RPG conversation feel of the game, and noticed that the game is just like every other MMO out there. Plain, lacking imagination, and full of GRIND GRIND GRIND. To all those saying that the conversation feature is a good thing, I agree with you. I myself found it rather enjoyable until I realised that it is just a smoke screen which covers you from the real game and makes you think you are some sort of one of a kind hero, right up until the point where you are doing the same conversations over and over again and are able to repeat every word before the NPC has had a chance to say it. And that's all it is, a mask. I know this is not meant to be a PvP game, but come on! All I'm doing at endgame is grinding the same 3 god dam 'warzones' over and over again for some crappy looking PvP gear which looks no where near as cool as some of the gear at had at level 15. And if you think you'll never get bored of PvE, believe me, you WILL. It is the most boring, monotonous gameplay in any MMO i have ever played. And once again, I'm grinding for some of the worst looking gear EVER. If you are someone who has played games like WoW, Guild Wars and DAOC you will not be able play this game for any more that 3 weeks. I miss the PvP that Warhammer Online brought I miss the Amazing gear and textures of WoW I miss the complexity and player driven community of EVE online I miss the mindbogglingly great PvP of DAOC But when I leave this game, I shall miss nothing of this game except the conversations with NPCs, until I realise that I'm not some bad-*** sith or jedi, i'm simply just one in a huge line of players who will be doing the same quest that day. I look forward to Dark Millennium Online and bid this game farewell...
  2. In WoW is was about 2 hours each week. In EVE online, its 30 minutes a day. But in SWTOR, we European players have to wait 6 hours, while the US player a snuggled up in their beds! Both WoW and EVE are manageable maintenance times, but 6 hours is just far too long! I don't want to be paying for a game which I can't play one day of the week! Sort yourselves out BioWare!
  3. Thanks guys is there any difference in the look of the darkside/lightside gear?
  4. I'm currently a trooper and I was just wondering if choosing darkside or light side affects which gear you get at later levels? Thanks
  5. For me mine would be Hoth because I simply love anywhere with snow, and exploring around Hoth is just super sweet. The landscape is also really beautifully designed. My worst planet would have to be Tatooine, I've always hated it ever since I watched the films. Just a dirty, sandy wasteland! How about you?
  6. In the films C3-PO does no good! Believe me, watch them back and try and find a moment where he actually does anything to help anyone!
  7. I find PvP to be rather enjoyable, it has that feel that I loved in Warhammer Online
  8. It could be daily maintenence, although I'm not sure because I'm still in the long process of patching
