  1. Heres whats going on. I have my lvl 50 merc, geared, went up the arsenal tree, built it the way I would expect to play a b/h.I would have put this in the class threads, but, I think this problem is with every class, and im trying to get a community feel to a solution. While levelling to 50, my tracer seemed to work o.k while engaged in 1v1 or small number npc mobs. But as soon as I started to grind out the flash points, or ilum, or god forbid e/v h/m, my skills all but quit working..... or did they????? Its kind of funny, because I dont suffer the same lag issues as some have stated in these forums. I generally run smooth. But In almost every h/m I run, I cant tell whether my tracer hit or not. I have many times looked at the boss after launching up to 4 missles, and noticed only 2 heat sigs on him. But My own animation shows me in the hunched position launching all 4??? I think my toon hates me. I have a rotaion that is supposed to work, but he wants to change it. I run keys 1-4 in my roll. 1-tracer...2rapid shot...3-rail shot...4 heat seeker.. after every tracer , I hit rapid to keep my heat down. And when I proc, I use rail. The only problem is, even though I know this is my rotation, my toon seems to not understand it,lol, so it does its own for me. No matter how hard I hit my key board, my toon doesnt want to respond, he wants to stay hunched over in boss fights,, and half way get off a tracer, and perhaps when he feels like it,, the odd rappid shot, lol. I find that if I let the global cool down finish after each tracer, my toon will then allow me to use another skill. ( I think he is lazy or on drugs) as he cant seem to do things to quickly. You see, unlike some of the people posting on the forums, Im not here to complain about the game. I think I would love the game, given the chance. But sadly, the toon I rolled just doesnt want to fight. He would much rather stay hunched over and pretend to shoot missiles, or slowly use his bubble or med pack before being laid out by a boss. Im sooo p'ed off at him for being slow and lazy. If only I could get him to respond to the key board im sure we could do better. I even told him I would buy him a VIP wrist band if he would do the next h/m for me without slacking, but I dont think he cares. Im sure of 1 thing. Im positive it is the way I play the game, and it is certainly NOT a problem with the global cooldown. Im positive that every other player gets their toon to react quickly when told to do so. The combat sytem in this game is flawless, I know... If only my drunk drug addicted b/h would sober up , I wouldnt be having any issues. I knew it when I met him, but I thought, meh,,, give him a chance. Now because of his lazy arse, I have to try another toon, and I know 1 thing for sure, I WONT have any issues with the combat skills. Any ways, if there are any out there who have a toon that is lazy, drunk, or a little slow, let me know. This can be the official AA for all the lazy toons in the galaxy. Or perhaps, if you want to comment on the combat sytem, and god forbid, discuss the problem, this is the place to do it....thnx ...
  2. My guild on Iron Citadel, went from 30 active hardcore raiders/pvp'ers, to about 6 in the last week. Last night on vent, for the first time,, almost all of us were either playing wow,or some other game to pass the time. kind of sad, but what to do?? its getting boring.
  3. Point taken,, thanks for the response
  4. Thank you for the advice.. I will do a better job next time..
  5. Come on man.. Im just saying what my experience is, you dont have to defend your position with ignorance. If you and your guild dont feel something is missing,, thats fine, im trying to be a part of the solution, and trying really hard not to be di-respectful at the same time..
  6. In my guild alone, we had over 30 active daily members,, we are now down to about 11, and on our guild web site, the ones who left explained why. If my guild is the only one suffering from number loss, I would be surprised.. But maybe other servers are different
  7. Do I ever,,, as I said,,, going back kind of took my breath away.. I am going back,,if for nothing else, until this game patches up.. I will be on windfolla ,,,if your going back...lol
  8. I agree,, the potential is there. But with so many fixes in the works.. do u think they will find the time to make the environment feel real... That would be one heck of a patch,, and I doubt the effort would be put into it... but as you say,, maybe patience is all that is needed..
  9. I agree to a point. I play a merc bh,, and for me the combat sucks,, its laggy,, and offers very little movement,, the cinematics are poor for this class, and the boss fights are often so glitchy, that I dont even see my missile going off. And for the record, I play on a top notch gaming comp.. so its not on my end...
  10. Thanks for your comment,, and Im sure some have the draw feeling for this game. But I tend to agree with the other poster that sai " it feels plasticy" but thats just my opinion..
  11. After lotro became free 2 play,, it changed the dynamics,,some of us old schoolers would give an arm and a leg to have it back the way it was... much like some old school swg fans thought this game might compare,, but its not even close..
  12. Thanks for the reply,, im trying really really hard to find the nich that keeps me logging in here,, but man,, lotro has such a different feel..
  13. It took me a while, but I think I have figured out why this game isnt pulling me and many others in,, and keeping us in. Our guild in SWTOR is dying ,,and I mean fast. And I find myself flying in circles around the fleet way to often waitng for the big huttball match. But yesterday, I found the problem. And any of you that have played LOTRO will kniow what I mean. I played LOTRO for several years, and I understand that the game has had time to polish up,,and offer a bit more for each play style, but.... Yesterday our guild ran an easrly morning ops. We were trying the palace on h/m for the the first time. We cleared the early mobs,,and eventually made it to the first boss, the epic rancor. For me , I was excited to hit this sucker with a missile or 2,, and was hoping as a group we would blow him back to hutta. But the sheer might of the rancor, and the fact that some in our group were light weights, gave him the advantage. And he picked us off 1 by 1. And it was great, we learned a bit, and now know we need to be better prepared for the next encounter. But something was missing. For some reason I felt detached from the fight. Something wasnt drawing me into the game. So last night, I logged back into my LOTRO account, to see if I could put a finger on what kept me coming back for over 4 yrs. And I think I found it right away.Firstly, I must say , it was a tad bit sad to see so many players had left the game. Many of which have come here I assume. But beyond that, I hopped on my mount, and went to moria, the most epic dungeon ever created, imo. I found the hidden cave where the dreaded balrog lie dead,, and stood there a moment , and panned my camera. Any of you who have played the game, know exactly where and what I am talking about. This is one of the most desolate places on the map. But even just sitting there, the environment comes to life. The music and the wind,, the blinding snow,, it felt so alive... When my guild and I were preparing to fight the rancor, there was no sound, just footsteps... No music,,, no dungeon feeling,, just silence.. When we engaged the beast, the only sounds were blasters and sabres. There was no epic music that led us to believe we were this close to defeating the beast.... Some of you may not agree with what I just said,, and perhaps others will... But for any of you lotro players out there,, one last time,, go to the balrog in Moria,, and sit there and listen.. the game was alive,, and very immersive.. and I dont get the same feeling from SWTOR....
  14. Get a life, really, im not a 99% er, like most of these hippies are. And I can tell you,, it isnt that hard to max out a toon in this game. This game was apparently built for the 99%ers. It gives the goods right off the bat,, zero challenge.. So I guess we are quite the opposite of you comment....
  15. Go back to rune scape,,or better yet,, stay here,,its much the same,,, enjoy clicking your way through the hard/very easy mode.... troll
