  1. Actually, the ending of Chapter 3 is usually the only time your alignment choices DO make a difference. Sometimes it's only a mere fluff difference (Sith Inquisitor's title), sometimes it's an extra boss fight (Bounty Hunter), or different dialogue and consequences (Jedi Knight, Imperial Agent). Outside of the ending however, there's only a few examples or your alignment making a major story impact and those would be the Sith Warrior and the Imperial Agent. There's a few times your moral choices on the Jedi Knight are revisited in the later chapters as well, but it's not a noticeable impact by any means. Basically if you play through a story once and it FEELS like the Light/Dark choices are making a noticeable impact on the story, it might be worth your time to play through it again. That's my experience anyway. Because there will be a lot of times that it will be noticeable that while a choice may have immediate consequences, it doesn't play into the big picture at all.
  2. If you push escape during the opening crawl and it dumps you back to the fleet with the option to start again using the purple button. I don't know about the class stories or world stories - haven't tested it - but I DO know that you can at least do your companion stuff then (So romances, etc). I would assume but can't confirm stuff like RotHC, SoR and Ziost could be completed at that time. Pretty sure it just automatically assumes the class story is done though as you have all your companions and it wouldn't make sense to go back and get them again. So there is a small window with a boosted 60 that you can at least do SOME of that stuff with.
  3. Yup. It displays at a low resolution, but only in-game. It displays at the correct resolution on the preview window. Can't be intentional. I am kind of curious about the unify thing. Do we know if it is supposed to unify? Did it unify on the PTR or something? (Honestly don't know there)
  4. Ridiculous indeed. And the sole reason I chose NOT to unlock the mask. I figured it HAD to be an error. The Armor was 50% of the cost to unlock, that's fine. Lots of my characters could use it. I expected the mask would be 50% too, but nope. So no buy. Still deciding whether the no individual item thing or the Mask unlock price was the bigger stink in my cereal moment of patch day.
  5. In Beta, there were many titles that were obtainable from heroic quests, bonus quests, milestones in terms of light/dark or social progression. However, most of these are missing from the live client. More confusing, they still appear to show up in the codex entries for the planets. As an avid collector of things, I am curious if some or all of these titles will be returning at any point?
  6. As someone who has his own social anxiety hang ups, I can understand where you're coming from. But actually, this game is fairly friendly to that kind of mentality! Especially if you're goal is to enjoy the story. While there are some flashpoints that carry out a good bit of story, a lot of the plot seems to play out through your class storyline or the planetary storylines. The good news is that for these, you can experience the entire story solo! Unlike a few other games I can think off where if you want to finish the storyline in an area, you'd have to find a group and do a few group quests (that always drove me nuts). I haven't run into any heroic quests (2 or 4 person) that are absolutely necessary to understanding the plot. Oh they'll flesh it out a bit more maybe, but it's not like the big conclusion to the planet's story arc will make you group up. It's one of the things I've really enjoyed about this game so far. Sadly, at the moment at least, when you finish all your storylines and hit max level, there's not exactly a ton of options beyond grouping. Dailies, space missions, running in circles around the fleet and admiring everyone else's armor? But until they add more max level solo content (if they do? I think I heard someone around mention it in the pipelines but it wasn't in yellow, so I don't know if there's anything official on it) you can also explore one of the other 7 class storylines, experience the game from the other faction's side, and level up another character.
  7. I've been leveling my Powertech as shield tech since I hit 10. I have really enjoyed the survivability of the class and being able to tackle huge challenges. However, I've been admittedly a bit squeamish when it comes to tanking. I prefer to sit in the DPS seat and learn the ropes by watching fights a while then switching over to tanking once I feel I have a handle on it. Because of this, I recently switched to Advanced Prototype at level 35. Suddenly, my survivability has taken a nose dive. I didn't expect to be on par with the tank tree in terms of damage resistance, but I can't kill a single elite without having Mako out. A single strong will easily bring me down to 15-25% health by the end of the fight. For reference, I've been following this guide in terms of build and rotation: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=5638. My question is there any tips or tricks to improving survivability as an Advanced Prototype Powertech while leveling? Should I switch to Pyro? It would get fairly expensive to continually switch back and forth between tank and dps specs whenever I wanted to do a flashpoint. I thank you in advance for any and all advice.
