  1. Lovin the changes. Took my 65 vengeance jugg to Nar Shadda's Heroic Star Fortress earlier today with his Influence level 23 Pierce. Soloed the whole thing using Unity and Heroic moment for one part of the exarch fight. Not sure I needed to use them but Pierce was looking a bit low and was easier then trying to taunt all the little adds. Also was curious about how the new buttons worked with heroic moment, like the implementation a lot. Anyway, found the challenge perfectly appropriate for my gear and influence levels. Thanks for making those changes as the game had gotten very boring being able to steamroll through content like that with barely any concerns about dying as companion healing was massively OP. Also tried to run the heroic star fortress with my PvP geared dps specced merc (and influence 21 akk doggie set up as tank) and couldn't get past the first paladin I ran across (didn't try heroic moment for that as it was obviously too much of a stretch with her gear). Which feels perfectly in tune with what I am looking for in terms of content challenge. Wouldn't have been a problem with a friend which is how it should be for challenging content.
  2. Just what the title says. Never understood why that wasn't there off the bat but it's annoying as all hell not to be able to whisper people off the guild panels. Should have an option to friend them from there as well.
  3. Problem is the scarcity of the low level augment schematics. It makes the cost for actually filling those kits incredibly prohibitive. Just leveling up any of those professions will give you kits from REing your crafteds. No point using them on your gear though as the augments themselves will cost you a large fortune (comparatively) and no point trying to purchase the schematics to make them yourself as they won't available or they will cost more then the max rank schematics. Biggest flaw in the new system from what I can see. Ideally they should put a bunch of the schematics on the trainer, something like rank 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 of might, resolve, skill, reflex and overkill. Either that of drastically increase the drop rate of the lower ranked schematics so they literally flood the market and their costs become reasonable.
  4. I started up a brand new character after the patch. I made him a synthweaving slicer to play with the new system and I have to say that I am incredibly disappointed with how the system works with leveling. I've been sending my companions out constantly on slicing missions and I haven't gotten a single low-level augment schematic. Meaning I have a ton of augment materials and not a single thing I could do with any of them besides throw them up on the GTN. Making the whole profession basically worthless from a crafting perspective. I've also been searching the GTN for the patterns and the only low level one I've come across was for a command 3 augment. I bought it even though it was way overpriced as the augments I could make from it are practically worthless for most players. How about throwing us a bone and putting a single type of augment for each of the professions on the trainer? or at the very least drastically increasing the drop rate for the low level patterns. The system makes a lot of sense for an endgame player but for someone leveling and trying to utilize their crafting while doing so the entire system seems like nothing more then an exercise in frustration. Hate to be pessimistic but this is really like so many other things associated with this game. Great intentions followed by a lackluster implementation that leaves at least some players feeling annoyed and frustrated. Why even have ranks for the stupid things when the patterns to make things to fill them are going to be so damn rare and hard to find?
  5. Why move? I already have a new legacy on Fatman that I made when Veela died. There are a TON of people who did the same thing. Prophecy can go to hell for all it matters to me. If they moved Veela to Fatman I would have given them more money and renewed my subscription. A lot of people would be doing the same. The offer of a free transfer to a server that is dead now and will be dead again in a few months though is not worth 15 bucks to me. Wait... hold on... I am getting a message from beyond.... I think it might be a prophecy.... it's saying that Prophecy of the Five will be a light server within 3 months while the Fatman will flourish and that anyone who moves there instead of rerolling to Fatman is an idiot.
  6. It's most likely a dead server now and will be a dead server again in the near future as everyone will realize that it's better to just forsake their characters and reroll onto Fatman then to be stuck on some backwater piece of garbage. I'm not even going to transfer all of my characters from Veela. Rather just keep playing my one character on Fatman until my subscription finally runs out.
  7. Veela to some randomly named server instead of to Fatman where so many of us rerolled when Veela's population died. Wonderful. My subscription has been cancelled for months at this point and the only reason it still has time remaining is because of all the free time your company has given out. This move means that it remains cancelled and will not be renewed when it does expire because there is no way in hell I am giving your company even a single cent to consolidate my legacies once paid transfers are finally implemented.
  8. Seriously. Veela -> Fatman is the only thing that is going to save my subscription.
  9. As an update the animation is so awful that I've literally gone back to using Slash. If this was my only character the animation is so bad, is used so often with this spec, and is discovered so late in the leveling cycle that I could easily see it being a reason to quit the game entirely. If slash had this animation instead of blade rush I never would have made it off Tython. How about making it a legacy option to swap in massacre for blade rush? Would happily pay a ton of credits or turn my character from full light to full dark if it meant never having to see this animation again. For those who think I should just play one of the other talent trees, realize that I also have a level 50 marauder and have played all 3 specs on multiple occasions and combat/carnage is the one that I truly enjoy the most. Well, playing combat was enjoyable until I picked up it's 31 point talent.
  10. I'd like to suggest that you take whoever came up with the animation for this Jedi Sentinel ability out behind the woodshed and then give Blade Rush the exact same animation as Massacre. The animation is appalling. It looks like your character has suddenly developed palsy and is just flailing around without any control over their arms. For an ability that you spend a lot of time spamming and especially for a 31 point end-of-tree ability it looks... pathetic. I was truly enjoying leveling my knight and was looking forward to making him my main once paid transfers were introduced into the game so I could move the rest of my legacy to his server. Now I am just planning on finishing out his story and then shelving him never to be seen again. It's bizarre how truly awful the animation looks. Especially when I compare it to the brilliance that is the animation for massacre on my marauder.
  11. The channeled health restore doesn't have a cooldown.
  12. I just thought of the ultimate legacy unlock ability. Something so good that it would get people who left the game to renew their subscription just to be able to utilize it. Something that wouldn't unbalance anything in the game and would fit perfectly with the goals of the legacy system by making it that much easier to level alts to experience the other class stories once you have finished leveling up your first character. Give us a legacy unlock that allows us to move while channeling our out of combat health restoration ability. Balance it by making it so the unlock is only active when a companion is present. It's a feature that I've seen people ask for over and over on the forums since the beta. Problem being that it would unbalance the game experience if it was universally applied. Which is why it would work so well with the legacy system. Keep the pacing constant through the first leveling experience but then let people purchase the unlock to make the leveling experience that much faster for the second time through the content with another class. Having the unlock only active when a companion is present also fits with how many of the other legacy unlocks already work so it wouldn't be seen as an unusual or harsh restriction.
  13. I have 2 legacies. One on a dead server with multiple level 50 characters with a bunch of expensive legacy unlocks and perks. The other is on a highly populated server with just a single character that is still going through the class story and has no legacy perks or unlocks at all. Guess which one I spend all my time playing. Guess how much time I will spend playing the other legacy no matter where you make it's destination system for transfers. Guess how happy I am about re-earning all those legacy perks and unlocks I earned on the dead server on the server that actually has a decent population. Now guess the likelihood that I will be renewing my subscription when it expires in 40 days. Bioware, if you want to keep me around as a player then open up free transfers between any server that currently has a legacy on the account. Each account can only have one footprint and having a legacy on a highly populated server shows a serious commitment to making that place their home. Go ahead with your "mergers" and your future plans for paid transfers but don't forget about those of us who took matters into our own hands and rerolled to more populated servers. Let those of us who rerolled and spent time creating new legacies on other servers consolidate at no charge. If you don't you are going to end up losing my subscription and, from reading this entire thread, quite a few other people's as well.
  14. Seriously. So incredibly frustrated by how they are handling things. I heard increased server capacities and free transfers and it filled me with such hope for the future of the game. Should have known Bioware would find a way to flubb that all up.
