  1. What is not to like about it? It is capture the flag with a sporting event style setup. Passing the ball, setting up plays, defending the carrier, pushing people/pinning people in the fire pits, shutting down the purple lightning only to get my face sniped off while the carrier gets the score.... this would be even more fun if I got a vote every so often. Yeah flashy doodads. Despite my love of the warzone I am still a world paper at heart.

  3. I haven't had any trouble at all focusing down either Inquisitors or Bounty Hunters with my 'wimpy' little Sentinel. In PvP, anyone casting lightning gets a saber to the face first, then I move on to other squishy types before working on the Tank-like classes.
  4. I'm close to saying the same. I've been bugging my guild to switch to some other server, but we'll probably just try and sit tight for now. I usually just roflcopter any of the complaint threads, but this is one complaint I'm going to fall in line with. I came home last night and was about to head to bed when I finally logged in. I played for roughly an hour before falling asleep. So 2 1/2 - 3 hours of waiting, playing for about an hour and then sleeping. This afternoon I've been waiting for 30 minutes thus far. Luckily enough the suggested wait time is 40 minutes and I only have about 20 or 30 minutes left (still at 296 in the queue).
  5. The issue in beta was that people wanted to go 1 on 1 vs an Inq and burn through certain abilities too early. Once we began to figure out the 'typical' rotation of a Sage/Sorcerers, we were able to combat them and defeat them more easily. At first we (Republic) were going up against a bunch of matches where the majority of the enemy were Sorcerers and we were getting rolled. Then there was some sort of 'aha' moment and we began to defeat the Sorcerer Pre-Mades. I'm not saying they aren't overpowered, I'm saying that they can be defeated. They are The Flavor of the Month for right now. People will slowly begin to taper off toward other classes soon enough.
  6. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours, I am finally 28 away from logging in. Yay! I'd switch servers but the two I switched to last night are both now at roughly the same server capacity.
  7. This is the exact reason why I played a Sentinel in beta. Also when crystals were not restricted to Light/Dark, I enjoyed running around as Jedi Claus.
  8. For DPS, the most fun I had in beta was with the Shadow and the Sentinel. The Sentinel for its DoTs, interrupts, and combat style. It also turned out to be a challenging experience to 'get right'. I went (As far as I recall) Watchman tree with a dabble into the far right tree (I'm too tired to bother looking it up).

    PVP server immunity

Don't worry OP. You won't be ganked until you hit about 30 or so, if that. I was level 20 when I left Corr and not once did I ever see an Imperial... Save for the two that bugged into the station, but that was more fun than anything else.
  10. I'm going Republic 1.) Because I like Jedi. 2.) Because Han Solo. 3.) Because I think the armor for Troopers and Guardians are amazing. 4.) I like playing a Paladin in D&D. 5.) I play D&D. 6.) I got bored playing evil characters when I was growing up. 7.) I haven't played D&D since 2003. 8.) I like blue and green light sabers a lot more than red. Some of these statements may or may not have any relevance as to the topic at hand and my choice of faction.
  11. I played both Star Wars: CCG and Lord of the Rings from Decipher (because I thought the Star Wars: CCG was so great, LotR had to be great too -- And it was! )
  12. My guild is in Fatman, thus I am going Fatman. I also like the word Fatman and intend to play there purely because of the word Fatman. Edit: Also going Republic.
  13. What items are you speaking of? The vendor item should come in once you receive your ship. The droid(s) should be in your mail or inventory. The vehicle should come in at level 20 or 25 (I can't remember when), or possibly earlier.
  14. First, check to make sure your video card is up to date. If that doesn't work, try adjusting your settings within the game. If Anti-Aliasing is on, turn it off, or lower it. If that doesn't work, then I hope someone else can hop on here and help you.
  15. How about the guy you send over 'to the left' to hold down an objective who thusly gets 0 kills, minimal damage, and not much else? Nearly every single mission, I went to the 'weak side' to hold down an objective while others went to the main areas of an objective. While I didn't accomplish the most objectives, get the most kills, heals, protection (remember the tanks!), or even damage, I generally held down that objective for the entire match. As soon as I saw someone sneaking about I'd shout it out. If I was 'jumped' by a stealther (if I wasn't also playing a stealth class), I'd shout out that the objective was being attacked even before I attacked. Did I once get voted for? Yes. Once. A healer that had played several matches with me noticed my valiant attempts at holding a specific objective/area/etc down and voted for me. After several matches. This was after several matches of protecting the ball handler, defending the 'left side' (or the 'weak side'), etc. Personally, I didn't even give a crap. All I would do at the end of the match would say: When voting: Remember the Tank and Healer! Sorry, that 'accomplishing the most objectives' comment set me off for a second there. EDIT: My criteria: What I see another player doing through out the game. If I can't get a good feel for what is happening through out the entire match then: Well I don't know. Sometimes I vote for the best protection, healing, or DPS. If I see the DPS playing the 'roamer' game (where he/she is going back and forth and adding damage where needed), then it'll be the DPS. If I see the Healer trying their damnedest to keep everyone alive, then the Healer. Especially if no one is actively trying to protect the healer. If it is some awesome tank running around keeping the healer alive.. then that tank. If it is an organized group and we're trying to advance a particular player's rank. That player.
