  1. Doh, meant to reply to this message but got the old thread somehow, its late! Congrats, nice work - I honestly thought this was something many people would do... there's nothing else permanent in the game really. I don't know if this would be of use, but if you are on TRE, I would be more than happy to match 50v50 in comp duels if that's something that can be of use?? I'm only missing Zo-Om and the KOTFE Sith temporary companion. And still bugged on Elara/Malavai I just mostly used the gold and purples from the Alliance crates, and the purples from the fleet vendor. All the cartel comps using the green and blue jawa junks.
  2. Hehe, lol, sorry I thought everyone did this! I haven't got Zo-Om, as I didn't have the perk but got all the rest including all the one off characters and every cartel market comp too, unfortunately not the sith dude either - went a different path int he story. Is nice to bring back Acina or Marr for a spin.
  3. I don't understand why a 15m fp you are doing 3 times takes 4-6 hours?
  4. Which fp are you grinding? Seems like a poor return on your time spent.
  5. I don't seem to get Elara from the terminal on Odessa, am I at the right place? The room outside Hylo Visz's room? Anyone managed to retrieve either yet?
  6. Its been 8 weeks, this isn't quick. When they announced 5.2 I was in 242 bis on both specs and I felt I'd been shoved back into the pack but with CXP crates, the gear drops faster now than ever. Ok, maybe not as fast right now as it was for the cxp events, but the usable drops in the crates are faster than any other time in the game in my experience. (Caveat: other than 2 man Ops grinding in 3.0, which was ridiculous). Grind whatever it takes, its great that everything pushes you along... there are several low hanging dailies that give at least a crates for a few minutes work (Oricon, CZ, BH, Coruscant) - all of these are down to around 5-10 minutes, all give at least 1 crate, some give more. Do these while queueing for pvp and gsf, grab your dailies and move on, people say alt play is dead - there are many opportunities. The weekly master flashpoint is a great return, one of those a night. Always be using a superior command boost. I was back in bis within a fortnight or so on my main spec and off spec another week after that. I do play two main chars, one imp and one pub, if that helps... both same class, and they share the gear and I play pub until dailies are done and then switch to imp... rinse and repeat until weeklies are done, basically maximising the return on play time, and getting those opportunities for cheap, low time cost cxp and UA. I say they share gear, they don't anymore, you get so much 244 and 246 gear that its not worth the hassle after a while, just gear them - consolidate the legendarys on your main. This is without even getting into Ops. Your char should by now have a stack of upgradable legendary shells... they simply don't go away... use these to fill in the gaps with the UA you have earnt in pvp. Of course once you are fully loaded in a class, that's when you no longer play that class... cos why? Getting a 5th relic on a char is :/ I'd rather get it on a different char/class.
  7. So, don't get me wrong, cos I haven't read the whole thread here... but were you guys basically expecting no more gear upgrades? ever? Gear upgrades as a concept has been in the game since launch and every major (and some minor, such as 5.2) update has included a gear upgrade... why would it suddenly stop, forever? Have I missed an announcement about the end of the game or something? Why do we have to keep going over the same ground with every gear upgrade? It is going to happen... GOOD, it is what we want! Is there anyone here that doesn't want any more updates?? Those updates will need to reward the players of it with stuff! It is how these games work. Delivery method of those rewards - now that is a different matter... and totally unrelated to this mount. No one knows the method that tier 5 crates will be delivered via... it is great to know that they are working on it though.
  8. Don't read it... say it... its fine, just the kind of thing someone would say but not write... "it was, like really freakin, even more poor than poor AND boring" - its not unintelligible.
  9. Haven't read much of what is in between the OP and here... but suffice to say, healer is THE classic solo role. You will need to learn to control your companion effectively... just expecting them to get on with it and come up with a perfect kill order is expecting too much. You will get issues with the Master Flashpoints and Uprisings, but other than that you should be good to go. That said, even some of the Master Flashpoints, if you know what you are doing are soloable. And of course, don't expect to be clearing content at the same speed OR in the same manner as a group of 4. There is a whole world of depth in this though... working out the strategies and tactics for each part (trash can often be harder than the boss fights) is great fun. You will also come across some interesting quirks, regarding the companions in certain flashpoint scenarios... kinda interesting, and no, not giving spoilers... you will have to find out for yourself As for the issue you have about respeccing and having to re-order your toolbars... well, I don't know if this will help... but why not play to that... I respec between heals and dps constantly, its quick and easy... I have to move only 3 abilities... why? Because I set up the abilities so that the ones that change fall into the same place each time... I simply then move those three into the right order and off I go. You really shouldn't let something as simple as a UI change affect your play. Take a bit of thought... see which abilities fall where for each spec and pad out any free spaces to ensure the new abilities fall into the places you want them to go, or near as dammit. It takes some doing... but once done... you will literally be able to respect whilst running between spawns.
  10. It is just a visual bug, but it is also tedious and annoying. The DvL xp bonus armour (victorious pioneer?), even when you've moved the armouring to another legacy set, often will still default back to show the xp set bonus even if using a class set bonus armouring in it... this is also sometimes confusing and a little tedious. I have given myself moments of concern over this on more than one occasion. Thankfully have not overwritten any set gear pieces in 5.x yet, plenty in 4.0 though
  11. Its not a significant factor, 5 pieces - so around a total of 50-70 across endurance/mastery/crit-probably between 246 and 248... that's it. That's not significant... less than 1% stat difference.
  12. Please don't... one of the truly exciting things I have left in the game! Seriously, just got that final Warrior Something-or-other Bracer left to get, put about a dozen characters through the Alliance grind and just that one piece left... it's been months! Don't take it away from me. When I've done it, you can do what you like.
  13. Edited: needed to be clearer Ok, this doesn't solve the issue. You would still need the seed piece on any alt that is spending the UA. So the likelihood is you will be spending the UA on the character that has the 236/242 piece to trade... ie: most likely your main. Making UA legacy bound wont change this. Granted, those personal pieces become slightly more available, but tbh there is a fundamental question: if you aren't playing those characters, why are you bothered about gearing them? There are multiple solutions to this, and I reckon more on the way... I think this would have a very minimal impact tbh, nowhere near as much as you might think. It'll cost 700-900+ UA per tier 4 item, grinding up from the original tier 2 purchase. 14 pieces... It must be somewhere around 10k per spec. Off the top of my head, that's around a year's worth of the "8 man weekly" pvp I reckon... 20 wzs @ average, say, of 4 UA, over 3 days, gives 36 UA for daily bonus and 40 UA for the weekly... around 160-170 odd. Even being generous... so, this clearly is not a good gearing method for alts. And I'm not saying people wouldn't grind it quicker than JUST this per week... its just an example of how much of a time-investment this would require you to go through. This is not to say there isn't something that could be done to make, say, tier 1 alt play more rewarding for someone with a tier 2, 3 or 4 main, but I don't think this particular change is the cure-all you think it is. Hey, I'd be all for legacy bound Earpieces, Implants and Relics from some new quest thread (tier 5??? a UA upgrade to tier 4??), or even better an attachment that you'd could apply to any item to make it legacy bound... after that, maybe start thinking about legacy wide UA? Interesting?
  14. This is already the case. All legacy unlocks, achieves, strongholds unlocks (if bought with cc) and decorations, are transferred with a character to a new server. 90 cc for a transfer... all it takes is one to move the whole thing. If you are only talking about the actual items in your legacy storage and not just the unlocks, well, that's for you to decide... simply move them to the character personal cargo storage and then transfer.
  15. Again, you seem to think its simply writing a list, its not... its all the work behind that, the list is merely the output from it. You really think he would not want to be intrinsically involved in all discussions at this stage? A couple of days away is nothing... we were damned lucky we didn't get a 30, 60, 90 day wait for the new guy to turn up and make do with a caretaker producer in between!
