  1. The QQ Tsunami™ that would ensue would be biblical in proportion. This is an extremely bad idea, for a number of reasons. The economy is in bad enough shape now as it is without doing something like this.
  2. More likely that they just haven't figured out how to charge CC for it and not get their faces melted by the backlash.
  3. That's just a lacy bodysuit she puts on for meetings. She's a modest girl and doesn't feel comfortable with all her stuff hanging out when in polite company. She's also probably a little cold in that outfit. In all seriousness, it's a texture bug that's been around in one form or another from almost the beginning of the game. Vector has had this same problem for at least 4 years.
  4. Well, TBH, it's mostly Bioware's fault. They're the ones that started screwing around with the artificial rarity on items, and packing the crates full of useless trash as fillers. If players are guilty of anything, it's actually paying real money for those crates after BW caught the greed virus.
  5. You have to start from level 1. Using the 60 token doesn't count towards the requirements.
  6. Actually, the Rakata were known to have used, and been eventually corrupted by, the Dark Side, so they wouldn't qualify as a race with no connection to the Force.
  7. You know, with all the metrics Bio has on hand, I wonder if they'd consider posting a breakdown of races/classes. That might be interesting to see. Personally, I see very few Togruta as Sith. By 'Sith' I mean playing as an Inquisitor or Warrior. I've seen quite a few as Agents and Bounty Hunters though. Technically, from a player standpoint, any race can be any class, as long as they're willing to either grind that race to 50 to unlock it, or purchase it from the CM. If you're wondering about a lore reason within the story of the game itself, I've no idea which would be the least likely to be a Sith. That would be something Bioware might have some insight on, if they haven't already addressed it. Might be a good question to toss at them during a Q&A or Cantina event/convention.
  8. Not quite as many boxes, but same result. It's all been jawa trash, decos and companion gifts, with the occasional boost thrown in. Pretty much given up on this 'event' at this point. It was poorly designed and implemented.
  9. The Yuuzhan-Vong would probably be one species that meets that criteria. Bear in mind that they're part of the EU, rather than the original Lucas canon, so there tends to be some disagreement on whether such a thing as a non sensitive species can exist at all.
  10. Why are you singling out Eric? He's not even responsible for the promotion, he's just the poor sap that has to deal with the fallout.
  11. Put a governor on chat that severely restricts F2P use. Once they've upgraded to preferred, the chat restrictions can be eased. All public channels would be restricted, while group and guild would be unrestricted. Make the threshold $10-15 in coins, which should make automated account creation far less attractive or useful. The spammers might actually thin out if they have to babysit the account creation process and spend money they know they're going to lose. Of course, for this to be effective at all, 'Customer Service' is actually going to have to do some work for a change and deal with spammers on a more active basis. When you can look at your CSR tickets and see dozens of reports that go back several weeks, and they're all still 'open', that tells you that dealing with RMT spambots isn't a priority for them.
  12. Better to do the main 8 base classes, rather than all 16 specializations. Even in the 'modern' era of every class being more or less a clone of every class, some of them were a bore the first time through, let alone slogging through them a second time.
  13. It was a targeted promo that hit specific groups of players. Without having access to the metrics and other data involved, there's no way to know what the actual criteria were for the promo. There were at least two running. One for F2P/Preferred, which gave a bonus if you subscribed, the other was targeted at current subscribers, and gave a bonus if they were actively subscribed on that date. I have two accounts, both of which have had a continuous subscription since the beginning of the year. One was targeted, the other was not. If I had to guess, part of the criteria was looking at active subscriptions that didn't show a lot of activity and were judged likely to cancel their subs based on that. The account that was targeted was my secondary, which doesn't see as much use at present as my 'main' one does.
  14. Seriously. I wouldn't mind seeing an alternate for the Mantis. It's just plain fugly. TBH the two best ships are the Fury and the Phantom are the two best looking ships (externally). Some of the others have decent interior layouts, but they look like.. meh. And while I understand the Fury and Defender are Sith/Jedi ships, to this day I think they took the easy/lazy way out by not giving each class it's own distinctive ship.
  15. The only thing I see in mine are notes from the friends list. Unfortunately, it doesn't automagically populate the list if copied. You still need to manually add all of the people back to the list first, at which point you can log out, copy the file, and log back in, with any notes you had (usually) intact.
