  1. Army of two is on the Xbox360.. if you want to enjoy playing in a massively multi player game you kind of hope the game would run good for more than just yourself.
  2. when you get tired of 15 minute hutball Queue you can join the republic side it's instant and we play alderaan and voidstart all night long .. wouldn't mind a couple huttball once in a while.
  3. Ea isn't falling ...their investment in the secret world will probably net them all the loss you could name over the swtor fiasco ... Quite frankly a publisher has to be burnt once by an mmorpg before getting it .. funcom got burnt on AoC and they will surely be able to prop a game similar to quality level Blizzard is able to do. While EA might be as you see it toxic it probably saved a lot of company ... THQ sure could use EA funding right now to finish their mmo project so diss EA as much as you want but their only purpose in life is lending money to publisher to finish DOA products that would never see the light of days without them... Sure they're sharks but hey open your eyes there's sharks all over the real world.
  4. the hype factor is leaving the game .. doesn't mean it will fail but the OP is right in that when too many people leave a server it usually end in a canceling spiral and is the reason why milking people for server transfer is a perfectly profitable technique. If you think about it, it would also help server population by allowing free character transfer from empire --> republic on any server that has a population imbalance , fixing 2 issue with 1 fix is the holy grail of any mmorpg.
  5. not that i want to defend blizzard but these example are post patch glitch ... what we're talking about is built upon the very core of the game as in it has been like this since the early alpha phase ... With no patch whatsoever fixing it in over a year. We're not talking a couple of line of code glitching the engine but more than likely the engine glitching the whole code for swtor due to a unknown bottleneck that i am sure even bioware is unaware of it's location. As some have said the same problem is within warhammer and to an extant i guess we could even add lotro to this list because it also suffer from glitchy desynching altough a lot less preminent.
  6. when you play a game for the first 10 hour you feel like the animation are really great ... after playing it for 50 hour you start seeing the animation are in fact all messed up .. after 100 hour you just figure the game is total crap because the animation does not even match the keybind input.
  7. yes you have the models on your computer they are embedded in the .tor files inside the assets folder..

  9. As i said they haven't developped it so before they master it they don't play around with it . If they had went with the engine they used for mass effect or the dragon age series they game would be in a much better shape simply because building on top of something you played with for years is always easier than starting a new project you did not build yourself. It's the same as someone starting a toon at lvl 50 vs a lvl 1-50 in pvp ... most of the time the person who leveled his character will have a much better understanding of all his skill and ability ... What he can do and can't do.
  10. Hero engine or not the fact of the matter is the first game a software developper does on an engine is usually crap ... This is another reason why wow is so great because it has been built on the fundation of warcraft 3 engine. When your team has been working on something for the past 10 year it's always easier than going out to "best buy" and buy yourself a developeer kit and go to town trial and errors way.
  11. the whole storyline is clueless and a mere goose chase 90% of the time ... I've played jedi shadow and also trooper and frankly you end up saving the galaxy so many time it's kind of a bad case of ramboism . They tried showing your companion helping out by diverting multiple task to them for "staged attack" . Where oviously you end up doing everything even tough the cut scenes tells you X companion is at X position ... it feels like someone skipped reading and just copy pasted a whole bunch of text for some actor to talk into a microphone without checking if it even worked as a story.
  12. the companion tanks suffer the same fate as the tank player ... mitigation stack are so unfair compared to how quick healer and dps gain stats. It's better to gear up power than defensive stats until you get to hardmode.

  14. Maybe the sound you hear are from your reactor creating laser beam wich are ... in your ship and not outside... As for the explosion well it'd be boring without it .
  15. Yep i can concur all of wich that happens to you also happen to me on my trooper as well as my jedi shadow ( stunning someone in hutball fire and seeing them get out of it unscattered is a giant red flag in my opinion.... fail mechanic is fail).
