  1. Each time you go up a level your given a new ability. Surely you must be trying these abilities each and every time your given them to see how they work and what they do? Have you enabled a second action bar so you can map all your abilities? Guardian works like a WoW warrior you need rage to use most abilities. At low level you only have a couple of abilities that generate rage. Force leap is one. You should always open a fight with force leap. When you fight generate rage and spend rage on harder hitting abilities. As stated above one of the most important things is to learn how to interrupt casting it makes everything so much easier. If you struggle with a class quest leave it go and do some normal questing gain a level or two and come back try it.
  2. The kuat ship yard flash point seems to have great xp. Only problem is lack of loot.
  3. What I like about PVE is that the players are for the most part a lot more mature than their PVP counterparts. They also have a tendency to help and teach others rather than expect you to be an expert from the get go.
  4. No point taking a hybrid build that receives bonuses from 2 different stances. You can only ever use one stance at a time so the moment you switch to one stance you loose all bonuses from the other and thus a complete waste of talents. I use a hybrid build for leveling I like the extra armour and survivability of a shield and defensive stance. I'm working up the vengeance tree but avoid all the unstoppable talents. What's the point in the damage reduction of unstoppable when you have to loose all your defensive bonuses from the other tree by changing stance? Much better to spend the talent points on increasing your dps while sticking to the defensive stance.
  5. I don't know what all the fuss is about. The problem is we are a healing class and thus a priority target. You can wear what you like if the enemy team goes for you your going to go down. They obviously had the disc priest in mind when they created the class and I don't think its bad. People should also consider using force speed as a defensive cool down. If talented in the healing tree it will remove all movement impairing effects and get you out of dodge.
  6. I think its worth getting. At lower levels you can solo heroics with ease and run the black tallon on your own.
  7. Best thing I found for a new player is the newcomers bundle that includes a speeder plus the skill to ride it and some other goodies like exp bonuses ect. Owning a speeder at level 10 saves a lot of running around. Also the companion Treak rocks at lower levels being able to tank or heal he is great for soloing heroics and flash points like the black Tallon
  8. For me operatives are like rogues in WoW annoying. That's fine as long as there are only one or two in a battleground. Lately though it's been like operative online and just like WoW when there are too many rogues in a single match it's a complete pain in the ***.
  9. I think the wait for DPS has been slashed dramatically now because the new flashpoint is level neutral.
  10. Has there been any thoughts on this? Might be quite fun to have a battleground that included companions.
  11. Sorry I should of said do not leave the starting planet untill your level 10 or level 9.999999% My mistake. Although even if your level 9.9999999999% you still might miss what is the most important quest you can possibly be given as a new player so why risk it? It happened to me on my first charachter and I would just like to pass on tip to others so they do not have the same distress.
  12. The first is don't leave your starting planet until level 10. If your under 10 you won't get the class specialist quest when you first arrive at the empire/republic fleet and it can get confusing. More important don't rush your class quests and end up having a hard time because your a little to low in level. Mix it up a bit do some space missions do some pvp and do plenty of side quests. You don't want to be in the wrong areas at the wrong level it just makes things hard work. Have fun.
  13. As soon as you hit level 10 buy yourself the newcomers bundle in the cartel market. It's quite cheap. You get a speeder pilot skill and a speeder plus some other bits and bobs.
  14. I would of thought the sniper would be rather repetative like the juggernaut. The jugg has no range and the sniper is all range. Sorcerer is quite fun you can play dps or heal flash points ect. Power tech is good fun. Great mix of range and close range and quite tanky too.
  15. Just been leveling my jugg and here is my opinion. Vengeance sucks up to about level 22. Only once you have enough talent points to reach unstoppable is it worth using for general pve. Before that damage is to low and our defence to week in my opinion. I spent 2 points for the 20% damage bonus to smash and then leveled to about 25 in immortal. I was tempted to stay immortal untill I had enough talent for impale in the vengeance tree but I made the swap when I had enough for unstoppable and it's been pretty good. I do think immortal has an advantage for soloing elites but the vengeance in general is much quicker at dropping groups witch makes up 90% of the PVE experience I have come across. I'm just about to hit 30.
