  1. The queue had nothing to do with there being too many people, they set the population caps very low when the game released, and slowly raised them to try and disperse the players across all servers. I imagine they had already bought the hardware for all the servers prior to launch and wanted to make use of them all, but I remember clearly being on a full server, having a long queue, and once I was in game I hardly ran into any other players other than the starting planets, one of my friends kept saying to me "I never see anyone, isn't this supposed to be an mmo?" But all of that would have been fine, if they were quick to make adjustments, transfers, merges, something... But they didn't. I had to leave my 50 merc and reroll to a better server when mine turned into a ghost town. Seemed pretty decent after that, then they opened oceanic transfers, and half the population there disappeared too... I haven't heard any news of what they're working on pretty much since 1.2 hit, they're being very quiet... Hopefully something sparks interest in swtor for the general community before I get bored of D3. ;x
  2. Also, not sure if anyone read the notes, but it wasn't just matrix cubes, there was a general mission items problem. I can imagine people being stuck on certain missions, unable to progress to the next planet since tuesday, flipping out and spamming angry bug reports...
  3. He's a proud resident of the Bioware commonwealth.
  4. I wish I played powertech just so I could experience the slow pulse generator is supposed to have ;( And mako is definitely more bangable.
  5. For saying something after the nerfs already took place? Lol, sure, you go ahead and do that then. Arsenal IS broken in PVP, I won't claim otherwise. Arsenal WAS too reliant on tracers prior to 1.2(and still is). Tracer to stack armor pen, tracer to buff heatseakers, tracer to buff rail shot, tracer to proc unloads. They made it sound like they were changing the spec to add depth to the gameplay, but where's the depth? It was just a straight damage nerf.
  6. Lol, pyrotech has always been a good spec, there's nothing fotm about it. Even the pvp set bonuses are geared towards playing pyro. Arsenal is just crap all around, just like a full lightning sorc. If a person is being stubborn and just has to play the most immobile and defenseless spec because they can't let go of the days when "LOL TRACER SPAM" was effective at killing anyone, then they are just asking to get frustrated.
  7. I have a 50 vanguard and a 50 merc. I definitely like the vanguard more at the moment, however I still really like my merc. Arsenal feels really broke now though, but I have no problems waxing the enemy with pyrotech spec, which honestly makes more sense anyway since the pvp set bonuses were made for that spec. (previously, or possibly still, people would wear the two piece from the PVE set for tracer spam) Oh and as far as vanguard PVP dps it isn't high sustained dps like a sentinel but it has a very high burst damage output.(assualt spec) Tactics is more sustained damage that hinges on setting up the perfect pulse cannon for burst but it's tough to pull off due to some server issue that causes stunned players to not be located where they seem to be, and due to pulse generator not applying its snare smart people just walk out of it.
  8. Would have to disagree, swtor just opened very optimistically with too many servers, and throttled the populations to be too low. Look at original everquest, just went F2P after more than a decade and they've merged servers several times along the way, yet the player base remained large enough to warrant 18 expansions, with one coming out just last year. I don't need to see 100 servers to choose from to feel like the game I'm playing is populated with other people, I just need to be able to find a group for whatever given thing I want to do in a reasonable time, which sometimes happens in swtor, and sometimes just isn't even close to happening. And honestly you'd think it'd be easy to get 3 other people.
  9. A lot of people will be leaving this game if they are stuck on a low pop server for much longer. Need this implemented asap, the aussies already transferred off, you must be able to do this already... And please, no big patches, keep them lean. It's frustrating waiting weeks and months with no fixes or updates.
  10. I haven't noticed much of a drop in output. I think my all time record was something like 650-680k, and I've broke 600k a few times since 1.2 without too much trouble. I even tried a new spec, 21/19/0 +1, and did 600k in a voidstar. Was actually pretty decent with the 5 sec root knockback, 10 seconds off force speed, blinding shield, and of course if you weave in TK throws between heals you get 50% force reduction on the next two heals. Not bad but really aggressive gameplay. I think the main problem isn't the healing output, it's how sporadically you get a guard/people taunting for you. With guard/taunt it's very hard to die, even versus 2 or 3 melee. But without support, which happens more often than not, 1 geared melee will shut you down and humiliate you, bend over and spread it sage! IMO, in a 1 v 1 no class should be a faceroll for another class. It's not fun gameplay to have a marauder (geared) on you with just his dots alone out dpsing your healing trance, spend the whole time frantically trying to get away and heal yourself but he's still far out-damaging your heals, and then die. Let's not even talk about what it would take to actually win that 1 v 1 as a healer... lol. Screw the PVP trauma debuff ;\
  11. Top guild according to who, them? You? lol Doesn't sound like many have even heard of them, and we don't even have any reason to believe they got any server firsts other you saying it was so. Even then, the first round of content was intentionally easy, most guilds with even semi competent players rolled through it. When we see higher tiers of raiding released then we might have a better idea what groups are a cut above the rest. Just another doom and gloom post.
  12. sages project hits for garbage, a shadows project hits hard, but they have to apply debuffs and watch for procs to line up to do full damage, plus project has a delay before it hits, so that's actually project + another attack hitting at the same time. Regardless, dps geared/prot spec shadows are OP as hell, just sayin ;D Edit: Also, I think there's a reason you don't see a lot of prot spec juggernauts in pvp
  13. Mmm yes, everyone gobble up the delicious troll meat! 10/10
