  1. It was still broken today. On Begeren Colony server. I will make every attempt to check it tomorrow after the reset. Whatever I had posted here before was incoherent lunacy. I plead TWI (typing while intoxicated). And now it is fixed. People listened.
  2. Thanks for the tip, I will try that. I also appreciate it being looked at by the devs.
  3. We ran it twice tonight, once extra with a newly hatched 55. It is bugged still. For everybody on this server I talk to. Imp or Pub side. Seems the guy you have to kill before you upload the data is no longer spawning, and that seems to be what is keeping us from finishing the bonus. And yes, I made a mistake on the original post, working from memory after-the-fact. I edited it, but the title is apparently locked to my original posting. Tomorrow is reset, we will see. But this bug survived the server reset last week, so who knows.
  4. Yeah, it is the daily mission "The Tower's Core". Never the less, it is broken.
  5. This is about the bonus part of the Tower's Core daily at the Watchtower on the republic side (Oricon). For the bonus, you must first gather data from 5 boxes on the walls. To complete the bonus you have to go to a panel and "upload" the data. The bug is that now the panel will not turn blue and allow you to click on it, even though the quest objective advanced properly after collecting 5 data-sets. While I don't actually run this daily every day, today was the third time since last week (approximately from Friday) I have run this on Begeren Colony server, and it has remained broken. In prior weeks this worked properly, but not lately. Apparently, this mission is about the same on the empire side, as I have seen remarks (in Say chat) from Imperial players about it being broken. I looked through pages of topics here and did not see anything posted about it, but at least among the players on Oricon it appears well known it is broken, so I am surprised no one has reported it here. I know if you don't know about it, it won't be fixed, but now you do.
  6. Hey, this happened to me once, exact same symptoms. The fix was to set the access permissions for SWTOR to trusted in my virus/firewall software. Since there was a new client in this package, I suspect that might be your problem.
  7. That has been there a long time... been around a year since I noticed it. Reported, posted about on these forums, and nothing happened, as you have seen. I think stupid stuff like that ought to be worked on. I might guess that there is either a lack of resources for or a reluctance to use them on older worlds in favor of developing or polishing new content. Not that it would appear that dragging that tree down a bit would take long to do.
  8. ^ this is what I think is the most significant advice given so far. Ctrl+1 is your friend. Especially for Sentinels, but also really every class except tanks paired with a heals companion. In ops, you would be performing the same way, letting a tank take the abuse while you grind his attacker down with your superior damage spec. That works as well in solo play, so long as you keep the companion gear upgraded. Plus, repairs on a dead companion are cheap compared to those for yourself.
  9. That's a valid point. I wouldn't care that unflagged healers couldn't heal flagged players. Mixed flag mode groups could be eliminated, too, without any griping from me. I am willing to throw a little boost to weaker players that appear to be struggling, or to rez people that are on long cooldown, but I have learned that the consequences of doing that for someone that is flagged outweigh any possible benefit. "No good deed goes unpunished."
  10. The way that it works now, anyone that is flagged is a pariah to me... I won't group with them, I won't heal them, I won't rez them. Because I will get flagged, and way too many times I will get ganked before I can get back to safety and wait 5 minutes to lose that flag. I think it is ridiculous the way it is, but unless it changes my behavior will stay the same; if you're flagged, no nuttin', no foolin'!
  11. That was once a regular event for me. When I later changed graphics cards to one with more on-board memory it quit.
  12. So, the random rabble here is unqualified to point out probable violations? No one appointed you to decide who can post what. That job belongs to moderators.
  13. OK, move along, nothing to see here? I see posts in this thread advising reports on the behavior. I also see lots of skeptics, nay, downright hostile skeptics. Regardless of whether the screenshots were photoshopped or not, there is plenty of evidence there is a problem, and it can be independently verified. If someone is selling brand-new name brand merchandise from the trunk of a car at half-price or less, any policeman would be suspicious. Questions on the source of the merchandise are in order.
  14. I phailed at the screenshot... I cannot figure out how to view these guy's legacy data. But finding level 7 players with multiple authorization items listed for sale is easy. An unscientific sampling says that the majority of such items listed on the GTN are level 7 players. As far as I am concerned, there is plenty of reason for suspicion that some scam is involved. I believe the OP is a lot better on detective work than I am, but looking at the item seller names and using /who will reveal that there are loads of these level 7 accounts not selling one, but many cartel unlock items.
  15. Trapjaw is the "World Boss" on Tatooine, located in the middle of the Dune Sea there. If you happen by and he is available, there will be some dead jawas and a skull there that says "interesting looking skull" (or something similar) when you mouse-over. If you click the skull, Trapjaw shows up (he looks like an oversized Wraid). While I have seen him killed by a solo 55, it was slow and brutal.
