First, let me preface by saying I don't post on forums. I think, for the most part, they are full of usless banter and nothing constructive. Now, I'm about to do something that I hate...
Post.
Problem: The current state of warzone PvP is pathetic. As a republic player, the only benefit is an almost instant queue. Now, the actual reason that it's instant... we are SEVERLY under-populated. From what I can gather across all servers, empire are outnumbering republics by a substantial amount. Specificly on my server, Mind Trick, it is at least 3-1 if not 4-1. I've been in countless warzones that are 5v8 and 6v8. How is that even allowed to happen? That's an instant loss no matter how you cut it. I was acutally even in one that was 4v8... really?
Solution: Allow players to queue as 'Mercs', that way players from the oposing team (those emps hating playing huttball over and over) can queue and join the republic team for the warzone. Now, to keep with lore, if you must, make it a huttgame of sorts. I don't see huttgames as being imps vs repubs, but people fighting for their lives individually. This will also help queue times on both fronts.
Problem: The second issue revolving around population imbalance is gear and farming. Emps are constantly winning, getting more valor, more bags, more gear, and thus increasing their dominance over repubs in lower rank gear. Ilum was a BIG problem helping this issue since the mass population of emps 'farmed' repubs to get a massive valor jumpstart.
Solution: Allow losses to count torwards the daily at an increased rate, i.e. if it takes 3 wins for the daily, make it 3 wins or 9 losses to complete. Weekly, 9 wins or 27 losses. This will at least allow the undergeared faction to at least have a better chance of catching up.
Problem: Ilum... enough said
Solution: You are already attempting to fix this by implementing population caps to the zone. Good first step, but there is still a pop imbalance as even on out server there are 70-90 emps in Ilum at any one point in time and only 40-50 repubs.
Flame if you will, post about me crying or complaining, but everything I said will in some way, shape, or form help the overall playability and enjoyment of both factions long-term.
