  1. Thanks for responding to my message. I am interested in joining. I am a returning player after being gone for 3+ years. I initially played from the beta until 3+ years ago when I stopped. When I played I enjoyed doing raids and have a few high level characters that I will be leveling up once I get reacquainted with the game again. My current character's name in game is Andaryss. I'm Republic side. I am on through the the day at various times and then in the evening. If there is a time that works best, let me know and I will do my best to be on at that time.
  2. After being gone for 3+ years I've been playing the last few days, getting back into the game, relearning everything and just enjoying re-experiencing the game again. I'm looking for a casual guild but one that is active and has opportunities for getting back into raids and other group activities. I'm currently leveling a Jedi Guardian to relearn the game but I have other characters that I plan on playing once I get a handle on the game again.
  3. Since the last patch, every time I load the launcher it has to reorganize data and verify before I can play. Is there a way to fix this?
  4. As has been stated before, this type of Chicken Little attitude dates back to the beginning of the game. I can't remember specifics, but I'm PRETTY sure there were similar threads even back during beta! Instead of flying off the handle and predicting the end of the game, why don't we wait for more information to come out? Most of the freaking out is based 100% on speculation. BW is partially to blame for it by not releasing much info and just giving a taste but it was just that a taste. Relax, enjoy the game and see where it goes.
  5. Wait what? I've just come back and I'm trying to catch up on all the changes to this point. In 5.0 tanks won't be needed at all??
  6. So does the "worst" mitigation of the three mean that the Shadow/Sin tanks are the worst of the three? I'm just returning to the game after over a year away and trying to decide which type of tank to play. I played a Vanguard for a very long time, and while I could go back to it I kinda want to try something different so my choices are Guardian or Shadow. I'd rather not wast my time on a tank that isn't going to cut it when I finally get to Ops later.
  7. Awesome! Thank you so much for the replies, I really appreciate them. Sounds like it's worth progressing and giving it a shot, that makes me happy since it's something different.
  8. I haven't played the game in well over a year and decided to return earlier this week. When I left a year ago I did a lot of tanking in raids and ops. I'm trying to decide between being a healer or tank this time around. I've been a Jugg tank and a Vanguard tank but never a Shadow/Sin tank. When I left, they were often considered the worst of the 3 because of their very spiky damage making it difficult to heal. And at least from my experience, healers didn't enjoy healing a raid with a shadow/sin as the main or off tank. So my question is, has this changed since I left? I'm interested in playing a tank that I haven't played but I don't want to waste my time on a tank that is going to frustrate me and make me frustrating to healers. Thanks in advance for any opinions.
  9. I haven't played SWTOR in well over a year. When I left I was pretty deep in tanking raids and ops. Since leaving I've played a few other games and have really come to enjoy the role of a healer. So as I'm returning I thought I would return as a healer instead. So my question is how do the roles/effectiveness change between Sage and Commando. I tried playing a scoundrel a few years ago but really didn't like the play style that much. So my choice comes down to Sage or Commando. Initially I'm just going to be playing solo and getting my feet wet again but I do plan on jumping into raids in the future. Thanks for any advice you can give me!
  10. We're a small, tight group of players, but we're struggling to fill our raid team each week. We're looking for players to join, or other small guilds in the same boat as us. If you're interested, let me know. Most of our group is ready for 60 content but we don't have a problem doing some other content to build up the group. Let me know if you're interested
  11. Bombsquad is looking for at least 2 DPS and 1 healer for our raid team. We're trying to keep our numbers lower so everyone gets an opportunity to go on raids. We're a very casual guild, only raiding once a week at most on Friday or Saturday nights. If you're looking for something laid back to join, let me know, we'd love to have you!
  12. I really enjoy playing both, but don't have the time to dedicate to gearing them both up at this time so I have to choose one to concentrate on. I want to be as valuable to my raid team as possible, so I'm looking for some advice on which to pick. As I said, I enjoy both, so "play what you enjoy" doesn't necessarily apply. If someone has an opinion they would like to share, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
  13. If you've got a secret you'd like to share, please do. I struggle to make credits. If I swap out the mods from one piece of gear into another, it costs me around 150,000. That doesn't break me, but it really takes a chunk out of my credit supply. I've been playing since launch with several breaks and I can honestly say, I struggle to make cash. So as I said, if you've got some secret or tips you want to share, I'm all ears.
  14. If you're looking for a small guild where the other members actually know you and notice when you're gone, Bombsquad may be for you. Bombsquad is a very small guild, on purpose. We are putting together a core of players that want to do raids in a low pressure environment. We're looking for DPS but welcome any roles. Our only requirement is that you're 18+ and willing to use Teamspeak. Even if you're not interested in raiding, but want to game with a small guild, let me know. You can message me back here with any questions or find me in game. I'm normally on as Az'lar or Corwyna. Hope to hear from you soon!
  15. So this is my first Sent, I've played a tank Powertech for a long time so DPS in general is new for me. That said, I've got my Sent wearing 156 or higher gear. Last night I was running some FPs with a few guildies and noticed that the Shadow we were running with would grab aggro from our tank several times throughout the night, yet I was unable to. I'm using a Watchman build, 36-8-2 and my rotation is: Forceleap Overload Saber Zealous Strike Merciless Slash Cauterize Master Strike Zealous Strike (if up) Strike if it isn't I keep Zen up whenever it's ready and Overload Saber and Merciless Slash. I also keep an eye out for Mind Sear to proc and hit Cauterize when it's up. I feel like I do good damage, but my inability to steal aggro had me concerned. Should I be worried? Something I should be switching?
