  1. We all knew this was coming, the burst was definitely too much. It was "OP" -- I won't argue that. However, the true reveal here is that Bioware has no f'n clue what its doing. To outright nerf the class without any compensation or buffs to any of its MANY weaknesses is just negligent and proves that BW is less concerned about class balance and more concerned about shutting up the forum. This is a melee class that has low sustained DPS and low survivability. Punishing energy cost on its skills. No ability to break snares or close the distance between it and its target. It has no knockback, charge, grip, or speed burst to give it the mobile advantage or objective offense/defense supremacy. Our two "defensive" CDs are among the most pitiful in the fame and mitigate almost no damage at all. I hope this patch isn't rushed out the door like all the others have been. Before this thing goes live they need to: 1. A direct damage buff to Backstab to compensate for the Acid Blade Nerf. 2. Take the 20% from Hidden Strike and spread it across Shiv, Corrosive Dart, and Lacerate. 3. Increase Evasion to 6 seconds and have it avoid all attacks. This should include knockbacks, grips, and charges. Since we are one of the only class that doesn't get one, we should at least have some defense against them. Also, change the talent to increase run speed by 100%. 4. Shield probe should be buffed. It is a 1.5k Shield Absorb on a 45second CD, it is embarrassingly bad. -- These changes would help maintain our sustained damage output. It gives us a gap closer that is powerful and does other things, but is also on a much longer CD vs what other classes get. Lastly, it helps us survive PvP without being reliant on buggy as hell stealth mechanics.
  2. Slicing is not the problem. Other professions are severely crippled by questing. You can't make a profit because its far too easy to fill every slot with blue/orange upgrades by just questing. After every planet I've got an excess of 20-30 commendations. I've got 8-10 blue/orange boes from world drops. I could even buy some stuff from specialty vendors for cheap or quickly build a full set from doing a little PvP. The game doesn't leave people many reasons to go shopping on the GTN.

    Huttball is crap

Not letting people choose is an absolutely a terrible restriction. If the Warzones are fun, people will queue for them. The developers shouldn't have to do anything else to get people to play these things... just make them fun. Forcing us to play them doesn't actually solve any problems, all it does is lead to very frustrated players... which will eventually lead to people burning out and quitting and/or flooding forums with threads like these. The queue shouldn't be limited to a single WZ either, if I want to queue for all three I should have that option.
  4. As much as I despise the direction WOW has gone, I don't think that is a fair statement. Boss mechanics is one thing Blizzard does better than anyone else and, so far, TOR doesn't hold up in that space. From what I've seen from the first 4 instances and in the videos of Eternity Vault/Hutt Palace, boss mechanics are all fairly basic.
  5. Unfortunately it gets worst... Athiss is even more mindless and boring, there is not a single dialogue choice or voice over inside the instance. Mandalorian Wars is the same, except you do get 1 option. These instances feel so out of place and they contradict everything BW told us Flashpoints would be. From what I've heard it does pick up again but these still undermine the experience tremendously, especially since they are all back to back to back. I understand that some folks thought Black Talon/Essles was too heavy on the story telling, I might agree, but theres gotta be a middle ground where you aren't sacrificing the key thing that sets this game apart from everything else on the market.
  6. Every class in this game is packed with utility, you guys are the only ones that get "bloodlust" style group wide buffs. Every group at 50 will be looking to score a Gunslinger and/or Sentinel. In fact, unless we get a "sated" style debuff then people will prob fill up all their DPS slots with the two classes. The healers can CC, so why bring a Scoundrel?
  7. Absolutely not. He is right, people should have to learn an encounter and conquer it in legitimate fashion. We should not be telling people to glitch or cheat their way to a win. This thread should be deleted for promoting exploits.
  8. Maybe this is my teacher half talking but I've found that a little patience and explanation is incredibly effective. In 28 levels I've seen a lot of players who just don't understand the group dynamics -- they are either new to MMOs or they think this is WOW. Simply saying don't do that or please do this (without being a jerk), has remedied the situation every time. I believe a lot of it is due to the way tanking and healing mechanics work in this game, at least early on. Tanks are still fairly squishy and aren't built for holding aggro or taking damage from more than 1-2 mobs. Also, healers pay a heavy price for spamming heals. I don't have 80k mana, I can deplete my entire energy bar in <5 casts, and every other cast lowers my regen rate.
  9. I don't believe Bioware intends for you to farm an entire set out of each "level up" dungeon. Its just a nice bonus.
