Lots of absolutely clueless people in this thread. Hardcore people create communities. Regular scrubs just log in occasionally to /dance in the capital or to craft some stupid item that they then put on AH for way less / way more than it's worth. The thing is, as hardcore players create communities, they drag in these casuals who want to be a part of something "cool." That's why WoW is so popular. Interestingly enough, when Blizz started sucking up to the clueless and incompetent ***** in WotLK and Cata, subscriptions plummeted. Now they've stabilized again until the newness wears off and people realize the game has been dumbed down to a level where someone who can¨t count to potato can do just fine.
