  1. I'm kinda partial to the Unrelenting Terror armor set. Tulak Horde, Dark Legionnaire, and Sith Recluse are some of my other favorites.
  2. So I got my reward for being a subscriber all this time. I suppose it's pretty cool, but being a stronghold decoration so few players will even see this distinction I have. I think it would have been more appropriate to get a special mount, toy, emote, or regen item so it would have more of a "show-off" factor, but it is what it is. One problem with it though is it has a decoration placement limit of ONE, despite reward every one of my characters as I log them in with another in game mail with this thing attached. Hopefully EA/BW will fix this and at least let me put this thing all over the damn place if I want. Here's a screenshot for those that haven't seen it: https://i.imgsafe.org/0e2bbc29d5.jpg
  3. I would love to hear any sort of compelling argument about why you think a F2P player is entitled to the same experience as a subscriber. F2P is nothing but a glorified demo... EA/BW only adopted the model because statistics show that more people get exposed to the game when they can try it for free then convert to paid subscriptions. Do you complain about not being able to hit up a fast food drive through when you test drive a car, or scribble all over a book you borrow from the library? Do you think movie trailers should just show the whole movie and complain when they don't? You probably think college and health care should be free, too. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm gonna assume that economics isn't your strong point...
  4. There are some optimization programs out there like Razer Core that will shut down programs and background services when you launch a game. Maybe you could give that a try. Also, make sure you turn down any non-essential graphics details like shadows (especially shadows), anti-aliasing, grass and tree draw distance. Hopefully you have a little wiggle room with that hardware, but maybe it's time to start thinking about upgrades?
  5. Yeah, the preview window bugs have been driving me nuts. I try to preview the special companion skins and get an all-black view of my companion. I preview an armor and get a headless model of my character. My regular companions are often missing limbs and heads when I preview armor or skins on them. And why does it say my companion's name at the top of the window when I open the preview window on myself? And why doesn't the draw weapon button work anymore to draw my lightsaber to preview crystal colors? Bah... damn preview window...
  6. -Since we're never going to get any new classes, how about new Advanced Class Specializations that function dramatically different from the base class: take a Jedi Consular and give them a Beastmaster specialization that allows them to take more direct control of the new beast companions at the cost of some of the abilities the Consular would otherwise earn along their progression. Or Likewise, an Agent Droid Commander? Mix in new weapon proficiencies and animations and have a Trooper Pikeman/Shieldbearer? -Speaking of weapons, how about some new weapon types with more variety like polearms, fist weapons, melee weapons useable by a non-force-user class. Spread the new weapon proficiencies across all the classes (or even better, create a series of optional missions that would grant characters new weapon proficiencies and train new abilities). Add a secondary weapon slot to the character sheet and allow hotswapping during combat and use the new dynamic toolbar mechanic to bring up their abilities. While we're at it, let us use the holdout blaster (and even equip the model of our choice) we all pull out during cinematic cut scenes and give us a dynamic toolbar with special cripple or finishing moves with it. -Companion Adventures: with all these Alliance Alerts, we've got more companions than we even care to use. Other than the achievements for getting them, having more than 7 companions really serves no purpose. Assign new bonuses to each companion like science, exploration, combat, and diplomacy bonuses and create special missions with either a credit entry or a "treasure map" loot drop mechanic that would allow us to assemble our choice of 4 companions and send them out, basing success, failure, and the degree thereof on the skill level totals of the team we assemble, rewarding cosmetic rewards, crafting resources, and further unlocking more challenging missions -An Official SWTOR Mobile Companion App: let us manage crew skill missions, crafting, and other elements tbd through an official app that lets us log into our account and also view our characters, gear, starship, and maybe play other minigames that lead to in-game rewards. These are just a few ideas off the top of my head...
  7. Contact Customer Service and demand a refund for your subscription time. Not sure if this will work... but wouldn't that be cool?
  8. Since, for some strange unknown reason, the old system of Cartel Reputation has long since been abandoned, why not just introduce a way for players to earn the Rep and Certificates again? How about a new series of Daily and Weekly quests granted by some sort of Cartel Magnate that would offer player-choice rewards of either a Rep item or a Cartel Certificate upon completion? Since the original Cartel Reputation system was part of the Cartel Packs as an additional revenue stream, these quests could be subscriber-only. Going forward the rewards available from the Cartel Vendors would be variants of those available through the actual packs, so each version of an item would still retain a certain "uniqueness". Maybe even ultra-rare stuff like Unstable Lightsabers and Weapon Tunings could be made available, albeit for a large sum of Certificates; that way those rare items still retain their value on the GTN. Furthermore, all items purchased on the Cartel Vendors would be Bind On Legacy, of course.
  9. I'm still waiting for EA/BW to go back and add Mount Flourishes to a bunch of older mounts, but it occurs to me that Weapon and Armor Flourishes would be nice, too. We all like to show off our shinies while we wander around the fleet pointlessly, so I'm thinking special animations like a special lightsaber twirl, firing off a salvo of shots at the ground with a blaster, or activating lighting effects, jetpack vents, or reinforcement plates on our armor. I spend enough money on Cartel goodies... let me show it off properly
  10. I'm kinda a Samsung guy, so I've been eyeing this beauty right here... only downside is it's 1920x1080 max resolution and I get the feeling I'm not far from a video card upgrade that will push resolutions well beyond that... http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-27-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor-S27D590C/dp/B00N4OBHNI/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1458367269&sr=1-2&refinements=p_72%3A1248879011%2Cp_89%3ASamsung
  11. I read the announcement regarding the new pack contents and have formed my own opinion, but I'm curious as to what your specific issue is with the new packs. Rather than be cryptic by saying general statements like "new changes" and "these issues", it would be helpful if you specified why you're calling for a boycott. Are you hording a bunch of embargoed packs or items and are afraid they're going to be devalued? Are you upset that reputation and cartel certificates still have yet to make a return? Has an exorbitant cost of these packs been released somewhere and I missed it? As far as I can tell, the structure for this pack is much like the last with which I was reasonably satisfied (save for the persistent absence of reputation and cartel certificates). Where's the beef?
