  1. I see what you mean. Yes it's good for that reason. Shoulder cannon is definitely over performing in other ways. Tweak on damage and casting speed would be nice.
  2. From my own personal experience being an concealment op. The stealth class I find most troublesome is another op. Generally I blow up assassin's fairly quick unless they pop defensive cds then I just kite them until it runs done then finish em. Don't get me wrong though, somebody who is really good at their class will feel over powered when going up against them. I have found some hatred assassins a real pain in the @ss. A good operative/scoundrel can destroy someone within seconds, so fast some people are not quick enough to react My opinion roll operative/scoundrel, the kings of stealth
  3. Also the fact it goes off still when stunned.
  4. At the end of the day gaming for your average Joe is about having fun. Grinding out ranked arenas repetitively is not fun. There is no variety. It's gets boring. With a war zone there is a little variety with an objective that helps. I know it can be frustrating having bad players in a team. You just deal with it. Instead of bashing/smack talking which seems to be the normal these days. I try to point out ways to help during a war zone. The way I look at it everybody has to start somewhere and the only way to get better is by playing and learning.
  5. I have no interest in arena's any more. Would love 8vs8 ranked in some capacity. I think having it as a group only isn't a bad idea. It would defiantly encourage more guild vs guild at a bigger scale. A lot of potential right there. I'm surprised Bioware done away with it.
  6. Arena's are very suited to damage dealers and healers, it gets predictable and boring after a while. In warzone's all classes have a purpose. Whether it's fighting where all the action is or off trying to take a node which can turn the tide of a game. There would be more purpose and incentive to want to play ranked. Also they could add particular achievements that are only obtainable in ranked warzone's to gage more interest. Seasons and rewards is a great idea by bioware. There would be no harm in adding an option to pick arenas or warzones in both ranked and non-ranked. Bioware needs to do more with pvp in general. I do think this would be the step in the right direction.
  7. Arena's get boring real fast. Objective pvp at a bigger scale is much more fun. To be honest I think having ranked limited to arena is sapping the fun out of pvp. At least give people a choice to select either arena or warzone. This thread really needs more interest to get bioware's attention. /Signed
  8. Nope. I main a concealment op. I have got a powertech though. I ran pyro prior to 3.0 and loved it. Tried new ap and hated it. It really is easy mode now. My powertech is shelved until some changed are made.
  9. I really do think people are over reacting. The same happened to concealment and they were nerfed into the ground. I hate seeing that happen when it's really not needed. Once you focus a sorc they die fairly quick. My conclusion is if you can't kill them your under geared or not very good at pvp or perhaps both. Sorcerers I think are balanced. Yes they top damage on more occasions but to balance that they die fairly fast. If you must wave a nerf bat, surely hatred assassins and pt ap need a look at? they top damage and and are a lot more durable.
  10. Honestly think sins, pt and jugg are in a better place than sorc. A sorc will top damage if you leave them be and don't target them, generally once if you focus them they drop like flies. Sins, juggs and pt are a lot more durable. I have no issue with sorcs in warzones. If they had to be nerfed I would say slightly decrease the damage on force storm. I know the feeling of having a class stripped badly (aka operative concealment) because of baddies raging on forums. Ideally I would like to see the under performing classes buffed instead of nerfing.
  11. PvP is in a real bad place right now unfortunately when it comes to balance. Since 3.0 it seems that only sin, pt and jugg are viable in matches and it's not a slight advantage, the damage these classes can do is crazy along with great survivability. My understanding with MMO mechanics is classes that generally top damage are glass cannon's and require a good amount of skill to survive. Not the case with swtor it seems. Bioware have you played any warzones recently? I would like to think that's part of the job description. It's quite obvious your game is very unbalanced right now. The fotm classes need toned down or under performing classes buffed. If nothing is done soon I suspect a lot of unhappy customers will jump ship because of the impression your leaving that you don't care or you don't have a clue when balancing pvp.
  12. A sorc in the right hands is nearly impossible to kill. I think forcestorm could do with a nerf perhaps.
  13. The biggest concern is the 55's rocking the old pvp gear sets. Ideally these guys need to be in the same bracket as the level 60's. It makes sense.
  14. This is very disheartening. The message is clear from Bioware. PvP is an after thought. Quite lazy from the developers if I'm being honest. How about you expand your ideas? Where is the imagination? You have no clear sense of direction. Stop being so closed minded about pvp development. More adventurous development in the pvp department will help the game greatly. A lot of people will resubscribe once it happens. A lot of good idea's have been suggested by the community free of charge. Listen to your customers. The customer is always right no matter what. Listen to your customers. With 2 big game releases coming this summer, wildstar and elder scrolls, both said games have a big focus on pvp I was expecting you to put 2+2 together and say "Yes this could be bad for sales, we need to come up with something in the pvp department to keep people interested". How can you not realise that? or is it you realise but simply can not be bothered in the effort involved keeping your audience happy? You guys simply are not doing a good enough job in regards to pvp to keep swtor up to date with modern day mmo's. The PvP community means a lot more than you think. This will be my last subscription until I'm confident your putting swtor in the right direction with pvp.
