  1. this would never work on the inquisotr, they get a huge range bonus for being one, and mana increases 5 fold, or a sorcerer. and the cc abilies are underpowered for leveling
  2. Flashpoints have redundant story. Unless you are doing it the first time. You don't need to hear about it 20 times over.
  3. How about I review each peice, so bioware understands what the hell is wrong. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...WarriorPvP.jpg Doesn't look a horrible as some, but does it fit into star wars? The points could go http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...WarriorPvE.jpg The helm is buttugly, along with the sholderpads, rest is not murdering my eyes the colors could be improved. Flat black and red areas (like vader or emporers guard), and other areas purely metal would look better then a odd mix. A coherent piece of power armor like space marines would do wonders. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...uisitorPvP.jpg Oh my god, this is so bad I want to switch to sith warrior so I don't have to see this. Clearly people are playing sorcerers because they are powerfull, and not because of this abomination. Like... simple black robes.... they are good enough for the emporer, and myserious.... why... can't we have them. Anything but this. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...uisitorPvE.jpg This pointy headed tinman has a double dose of stupid to it, but I still would wear it over abomination 1 for inquisotrs. This could be a half decent armor if they got rid of the pointy head and sholderpads, you know like dearth basus. If you can design major characters to be not retarded in design, allow players to do the same. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...yHunterPvP.jpg The hell is this, from familar armored plates of boba fett and 'normal' combat and power armor we get stuff that looks like its from aliens with no sense of fashion. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...yHunterPvE.jpg Half decent in not murdering my eyes, still why can't we have tarro bloods armor, the black talon or boba's. This is a heavly downgraded version of mandolorian. The color scheme doesn't help it http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...R/AgentPvP.jpg Hey its not murder like the rest of them. Its like even better then the warriors, its actually good. Kind of high tech, kind of uniform, no horribly large shoulder pads. It looks like something that would fit in star wars and not fantagia mobile suits korean/japanese MMO. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...R/AgentPvE.jpg Kind of different, but also looks like a ninja. Some junk on one sholderpad is out of place, and orange is not really epic as black or blue or gray. The blinking eyes could be replaced with a visor or black holes to look less like a comical robot. People must play BH and inquisitor for game play mechanics and not end game armor. Because that stuff is murder to the eyes. I think I might have to switch to warrior or agent if I might be stuck with that. Why can't my avatar be end game sith? Clearly the art department was not designing armor.
  4. I think bioware should just have top mods for pvp/pve (purps and deep purps) be able to be had with drops and points purchasing with tokens with the current system, much like condemnation venders for each planet. That way for example a purp item fully moded costs as much as purchasing all the purp mods themselves to make a new peice just as powerful. Its pretty stupid thinking that having fully modded gear would ruin progression. Just have the drops be the same, instead of one piece have it be all the mods for upgrading a piece to the same level. Or allow a top line purp to be sacraficed to mods for a cosmetic outfit. If you don't want progression to be too fast, then don't drop them too much. The whole problem would have been adverted if end game armor was not buttugly. You don't have to force people to use it by stats if it was actually desired better then other armor, but its not, people hate it, they wear it all for the stats. Its gawdy over the top junk thats a throwback to wow design. People with no understanding of fashion and design of what they do in good movies and media; design stuff like autisitc ansparager Koreans and Japaneses game designers who think if you just tack on crap everywhere it looks 'epic'. Giant shoulder pads, and just crap everywhere that is a gross parody of any immersion. examples to avoid http://www.wallcoo.net/Game/pristontale/wallpapers/1024x768/13.html http://news.mmosite.com/content/2008-01-13/20080113185902558,1.shtml (ok that looks sort of cool but having anyone but a god wear it in a fantasy world would be out of place) I know that people might have been giving flack to bioware for making bounty hunters boba fett clones, and sith warriors vader clones, and inquistors maul and emporer clones. But you know what, those are good designs to follow, that fit within star wars and and coherent sci-fi world. This end of the line crap looks like stuff from wow, and Korean MMO's. People diss lucas but seriously, we need his designs, look at the movies, you have stuff that is of a different world but still has a coherent look that fits within a sci-fi world that draws from real world culture. Its not like its imposable to have mmo armor not look like its designed by anti-social cultureless asparager spawn. LoTRO has a appearance system, and armor that draws from real world cultures that is not retarded. In fact with this game, the mid level gear looks very good, like stuff from the movies, just need to keep that and refine it.
  5. Being a faceless assassin with limited dialog was a defining point of his character. Kind of like master cheif from halo.
  6. Jedi are also by nature selfless, which won't help life expectancy (though can make you a hero with a statue). IE if something dangerous happens on a ship full of orphans and refugees. A jedi although the epoch of a enlightened powerful being is going to save the useless normals and if necessary to do so, sacrifice their own life. Sith by contrast, would in any case of mortal danger look out for number one, that unless something is to be gained.
  7. Instead of rollplaying things like a nerd, I as a sith player will look unbiased at what it means in the game. I haven't seen endgame gear for jedi, but I do know some of the sith looks butt ugly. The jedi consoler gets a lizardman companion to the dasheed inquistor gets. I would trade if theirs is a tank with taunt. For warrior and knight, the knight gets some moving beeping trashcan, and warrior gets vette (cute twiellek) who you get to shock depending on how evil you want to be. So clearly warriors got it made. Hard to say, what are the other perks for each side?
  8. Evolution that is physically noticeable is supposed to take hundred of thousands of years (yea skin/fur/coloration can change faster in the case of people and moths, though that itself is a minor change, compared with that of other hominoids compared with **** sapiens). Though... Apparently it did happen with the loads of very human like derived species, like the one with dreads and reading stuff with touching it, and the blind people, and a host of others.
  9. Thats why I might just keep using the armor I got from the first flash point. Blue and white, kind of like a power armored marine without extra junk. Hopefully I can put in purp mods in orange gear to make it just as good as level 50 purps. Lot of that stuff is realy retarded looking. Thats one of the downsides of some of the design of the game, they have a wow complex when it comes to designing end game gear. Thinking the less normal it looks, the more desirable it is. In that vein, giant shoulder pads, and junky gawdy accessory, and whacked out colorschemes give us the mess of end game gear. You get more by having less, ever look to a movie, and remember seeing the heros and villains wearing this junk.... yea... no.. never. Bioware is slightly redeamed for not having this problem in all outfits.
  10. Your playing it wrong. Heat exponentially rises and dissipates worse the more you get. You are not supposed to spam everything like a military contractor with assparagers to 'max' it to 100, you juggle low to get the max regen it so you can keep using more latter. Its hard to grasp, but you get more latter by using less to start with. Its a complicated mana bar, its not for everyone. I would roll a different class if you don't like it. Roll sorcerer and spam every attack you can, you have a huge mana bar and always at 5 regen. I am not even sure why I don't play BH more, about everyone I group with, they burn and overheat like a battletech mech. Even with a MMO swavy friend when I see him play BH he just spams his way rapidly to 90% in a boss fight.
  11. I agree in some ways its kind of weird to pair the force wizard and the assassin in the same base class or family (inquisitor). But the idea of a stealth based force user I think is a good one, throughout the movies many force users were not known for heavy armor and being obvious. Stealth and deception were used by both sides of the force (obi wan and quigon gin masked their own intentions and nature while on tattonie, obi wan when going though the deathstar). Though... they kind of fit with the light armor with sorcerer, more so then with the warrior. Also 4 classes of force users on each side is enough, its about half. So its not like we need too many more. Redundancy is bad. Do we really need two force wizards on each side, can not the current one they just have all the more wizardly/mystical abilities each, and have s traits where specialization exist between dps and healing, and unlocking extra special abilites.
  12. That this is even considered as a legitimate way of finding a group for a instance shows how much of a gaping void was left for finding groups. Lets go through the very convenient options Option 1. spam imperial fleet general chat dozens of times over 30 mins Option 2 reroll char on different server (days/weeks spend grinding same char again) option 3 check a planet of same level and privet chat every person to find people to do instance (numbering a dozens to a hundred or so)
  13. Have you thought of one group focused on boss and one actively hunting gankers?
  14. If its a pvp server its pvp, why don't people understand it. You don't wait for hostiles to murder friendlies, you actively scout for them and murder them with overwhelming numbers, spam everything on them, every stun, every damage every damage over time, till they down in the dirt, camp body, repeat. Are people seriously doing world bosses on pvp servers, looking at red hostile players coming by, keep grinding down the bosses health, oblivious to hostile players marching up to attack them, then as they are being attacked still remain obivous. As to 4 people ruining your day, bring more people then is necessary to kill the boss and any people of the other faction, they bring 4 to ruin your party, you bring 8 to ruin theirs. Too many people eating special K and running bots are in PVP servers, PVE is that way. SWOTAR should have server transfers for people who obviously picked the wrong server.
  15. the current system is really bad for a good game. which is hanging out in fleet and and spamming the general chat. Its like seriously the most crude method. Quite a bit of resistance from cross server stuff. But still need some kind of tool other then this current horrible method. A flashpoint channel, or a group finder that is just of the server. Also... why not have flashpoints tied to the planets that are of the same level as the people who will run it (or permit a person to be on the planet of their level and waiting on then going to flashpoint).
