  1. If I had to guess, I'd say removing the mods from the other set would also remove the set bonii. Nice try though.
  2. I'm gonna call you out for being dumb. This isn't WoW, Mmmmmkaaaay? Deception is fine in SWTORs PvP, since a lot of it is objective based, and the strategy based deception builds can be played just as well as the brute force method of darkness. Does it require a massively different playstyle? Probably. Is it any less viable? Probably not. As for the guide, nice job. Formatting could be neater, but definetly gives a good understanding of how the tree works and how to play it. I look forward to seeing higher levels with this guide.
  3. What the hell. Everyone else is posting their opinion, why not me? Take a long look at the companions and NPCs you run into: some of them are failed Sith/Jedi, some of them are defectors from the other factions race list, or are a race/class combo that are not accessible to players. So lore wise, it doesn't really matter. There will be a smaller number of unusual class/race combos (which is good, lore wise) but it will not be locked out. The only real difference between what can be done with charactors, and what can be done with NPCs, is that Characters must be iconic compared to NPCs. There's a reason you can play a Han Solo style charactor, and not a Chewy style character: no matter how much you love Chewy, he was never a protagonist. Mechanics wise, I can't see this hurting the game either, in fact I see it as being a good thing. Some extra tools to make leveling alts easier? Heck yes. It'll still be unusual to see a smugglar force choking someone, but in a pinch it'll be useful and fun to see it happening. No race gives a in game bonus, so that wont hurt either. In conclusion: they're giving us one more way to customize our charactors a little bit, and putting restrictions on it so that it'll be a bit more rare. Good for the devs.
  4. I think we all knew this question was coming. Anyone have any idea where one can find a pair of orange pants for leveling that look half decent? Some low level options would be great if anyones found anything. So far all I can find are the social items. Pilots pants, slave outfit... anyone have anything better?
  5. So, I'm trying to decide between levelling a Sorcerer and an Assassin. I'm probably going to be PvPing a lot and have several friends with mid level hybred sorcs. They want me to level a hybred sorc as well if only for the lawls of so much lightning, but I'm thinking I'd rather level an assassin to bring something new to the table (stealth and melee.) This is going to be my main, so I'm also considering leveling here. As a note, I have a level 14 sorc and a level 10 assassin. What I'd like to know is what are the differences? I don't care about whether I want to wreck people 1v1 or be a ranged DPS monster, I care about things like how easy is leveling? Is PvP hard to master? Anyone want to share their experiences?
  6. Grab only no holds barred and pour your other points into Sab. First and third builds look the best so far. Alacrity is garbage for gunslingers.
  7. I don't mean to call you out on this, but I gotta ask: how did you know everyone was smiling? Also, love my smuggler so far. My friends want to play Imp, but I just can't pull myself away from this toon. Ah well. Can't wait to see more of the story.
