    Kind of obvious.
  1. Wanted to Res this very old thread. I just did the Tat bonus quest, the drop was a two piece armor box. Does this pistol drop anywhere now?
  2. I was thinking about this. How about "Capital Ship vs Capital Ship". We're play the squadrons from the capital ship... and the side that destroys the other capital ship first... wins Tholena
  3. I don't know. I think I could maybe handle a stealth ship if it had a weak hull and no shields at all. Maybe the stealth generator replaces the shield generator? But I doubt such a ship would have much purpose in a domination map. Maybe more in a capture the flag or some such.
  4. If you minimize use of other fields, usable by does work actually. Works especially well on companions.
  5. Well, it's been around forever, but might as well put it here: On the GTN, you can't search for "Usable By" and "Level Range" at the same time. It will always end up with 0 results.
  6. It's been around forever. Was fixed long ago, but seems to have reappeared with new patches. Work around is simple: 1 - Make sure you are in "Fullscreen" mode (NOT Fullscreen Windowed) 2 - After you click your destination, Alt-Tab out of the game. Wait for about 30 seconds. Alt-Tab back in. You will be out of mission with your reward window waiting.
  7. They've replied, but never with anything resembling "We're working on it." They have acknowledged the issue, and identified the workaround, but that's about it.
  8. At launch it impacted some players. Now, more recently, it seems to be hitting many more.
  9. Subject says it all. Story mode lockouts are a problem in many ways. I understand the desire to keep gear progression slow, but it's not like story mode is all that good anyway. We have two operations we can run in the op finder... once we're locked out we're stuck with heroics again for the entire week. Please remove story mode lockouts. This would also help the queue times for people trying to do operations as we'd have more people to work with.
  10. I just hope details will come up soon. I have chars on two servers are really want to merge them together!
  11. Oops.. that's a problem right there. That is your only LONG CC, but not your only CC. You have stuns, I think you even have a blind right? You have at least one knockback. All of those are CC. Remember, even one second can matter. Also, a lot of the aforementioned "short" CC abilities also double as an interrupt. As for the companion, I know someone that soloed all the way up with his healer companion, once obtained. But it is critical to keep their gear upgraded. If the gear is behind, that is a big deal.
  12. Nonsense, we did just fine in other games before parsing. In fact, we did just fine in the original WoW without parsing. It's not needed and it takes away from the experience. What parsing really allows is someone else to get on your case... and that is definitely not fun.
  13. I like a lot of what the original poster said, though I don't think I'd place a lot of it as higher priority than the current bug smashing...but this is a nice list for once the bugs are gone. I would remove a couple from the list though: REMOVE: Combat log - Sorry, have to disagree here. Parsing of the combat log may be nice for the top fraction of players, but for the community as a whole it has a detrimental effect... getting people to jump to the flavor of the month because of a few lousy percentage points. This is a story based MMO. A combat log would destroy connection with character. The Wow developers love the Meta-Game of parsing logs and such, and they cater to that, but it has been detrimental to many aspects of WoW... and WoW isn't story based like this game is. Moddable UI - I'm not sure a fully customizable UI is a good thing for an MMO. Sure, WoW has it, but after playing WoW as both casual and raider ever since launch, I'm now back to the basic WoW UI. Why? Because the addons add more mess to the screen and break the immersion. That being said, some customization is a must. Some careful consideration must come about what that amount is. My list would include mouseover healing and targeting, customizable scale, the ability to change all fonts, and the ability to customize the keys used in space combat A few other thoughts I didn't like: I happen to like the lack of arenas, and love the way PvP brackets work, especially with the upcoming lvl 50 bracket. Arenas would ruin this game. Oh, and I absolutely love Huttball and would gladly play only that I also like the feeling that the server isn't crowded (Though some places are very very crowded, especially in the mid levels.) I also like the story in the game and don't think any addons or parsing is needed to make raiding fun
  14. I'd say you are having a bit more trouble than you should. Don't get me wrong, past level 30 everything gets much more challenging, but I think you're having a bit more trouble than expected. A few questions/thoughts to consider: - Companion in use can make a huge difference, especially in fights with golds or multiple silvers. It can be critical in fights against champions (gold stars). Which companion are you using? - Companion gear also matters a lot. If you want them to be tanking, they must have gear every bit as good, or better than, your gear. If healing they need really good gear to keep you alive because you're going to be taking a ton of damage. (Personally, I'd say you need a tank more than a healer, but that is only true so far as you have good gear for the tank.) - Make sure your kill order is the right one. At the risk of stating something you probably figured out, kill the weak enemies first. But also, post 30, learn to recognize enemies with particularly troublesome special abilities. Try to kill them first, or at least interrupt their abilities. (Interrupts start to matter a lot.) Don't ignore your various control abilities. I've run into so many people who think that "four seconds is useless". Even if you can get something out of the fight for one second, it can make a huge difference. I found that knocking something back so it had to take a second to run back to my tank made all the difference in the world. - As a DPS, your major way of surviving nasty fights is to keep them short. Consider a respec to increase burst at the expense of sustained damage. (Do note that this is the opposite of what you might want for operations, but it sure helps solo.) I guess that's a good place to start. Hope that helps.
  15. Honestly, I've never rolled to cover in a place I didn't expect to, at least not since low levels. I learned to always look to see where it plans to send me and have found that adjusting my angle a little bit will make it send me where I want. It is a matter of practice using the roll system.
