  1. I would love a game with a crafting and resource management system like SWG had. Complex and varied. 2 different crafters making the same item, would not get the same results. Even if you used the experimentation and different results of that experimenting. Your whole game could be just crafting, if that is what you wanted....or not at all if you didn't want to...but you would still rely on the crafters for your doc buffs, armour, weapons, houses, furniture. SWG was still the closest thing to a perfect MMO I've ever played.....well, until CU and NGE dumbed it down too much for the whining kids. There are those on here, who have never even played it, and still claim to hate it...but that is the "I want everything now and I should not have to put any effort in to get it" brigade of kids....likely the same ones that complain about SWTOR being too much of a grind.
  2. Glad idiots like you will not be joining me in GW2....enjoy you F2P, and then once EA has milked every penny they can from that, your P2W.
  3. I am. Subs run out tonight...good ridance. ...of course you can have my stuff
  4. Of course there was. There were 3 missions that were opened 1 at a time. The 3 and 6 month subbers time expired on the 17, which meant if they wanted to complete the whole thing, they would need to resub. Cynical, and undoubtedly vehemently denied by EA and fanboys alike, but most likely the reason. EA is all about the $$$.
  5. I meant you are the target audience. The type of player Ea want to hold onto when they go F2P. Never question anything, don't care about anything...just happy to be spoon fed crap, and willing to pay for the priviledge. If you think F2P actually means free, that just cements that you are the deluded customer EA are hoping to fleece every penny they can from.
  6. Of course it will happen. When EA finish squeezing every penny out of F2P as they can, they will start offering the best armour, weapons, buffs as a pay option. Anyone who thinks differently is deluding themselves, and likely the fanboys who will still be here in 5 days time. Next set of server merges...in 2-3 months time I reckon. All server population will take a huge hit this weekend. Again, the fanboys will try to put a positive spin on it saying all sorts, like they'll be back, or good riddance, but we'll see eh?
  7. My Assassin is also 16k+ bolstered. If you are maxed out for your level...at any level, you will bolster up to about that. That is why when you level, and you do not swap any gear, you will have less HP than before, because your gear is bolstered up one less level.
  8. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see which game is more successful as F2P then won't we?
  9. It is not BW. They are just puppets of EA. Ea do not care about anything but $$$$. Personally, I will never buy anything with an EA badge on it again.
  10. It will be great when clueless wonders like this realise just how F2P will ruin SWTOR. This is EA...even before SWTOR was released, everyone was concerned that EA would only care about how much $$ they could rake in. Anyone who thinks F2P is not just a stepping stone to P2W, then they are even more delusional than the fanboys trying to put a positive spin on F2P. GW2 was designed as a F2P model. SWTOR was not. Personally, money is not a concern for me, I just want a decent game, that work when I want it to, and not random unscheduled mainenance to fix minor bugs at Yank-convenient times. Judging by ArenaNet's past track record, excellent reliability and customer communication can be expected. Can EA claim any of that? F2P (and subsequently P2W) is just a mechanism for EA to squeeze as much money out of the few fanboys left playing before they give up all together. Someone actually tried saying SWTOR will be supported for at least another decade. If it is still around this time next year...I'll eat my hat (but you'll have to come to GW2 to let me know because my subs (and ability to post on these forums) ends 24th Aug) There is a very good reason EA was voted absolute worst company this year and why it get scathing parodies in programs like South Park (crack baby basketball). EA take over excellent companies (BW) gut them, suck all the life and profit out of them, then throw them on the scrapheap (Westwood Studios). Good luck to the fanboys, for the few months of gameplay you have left.
  11. Whatever numbers are "declared official" you can probably half that to get a true reflection. Rushing out the report before the 6-month subers run out, so they can be included in the results. And of course every trial account will be a +1 for the numbers. EA will pad the results any way they can to make it look as good as possible. Anything more than 400-500k is a blatant lie. I'm just wondering if EA are ballsy enough to try and pull off the lie they still have over 1 mill.
  12. I will...as will 3/4 of the disgruntles player base currently getting ripped on in this game. Enjoy your next round of server merges (or more likely this time you will have to pay) and enjoy F2P by Christmas. All the fanboys are pinning their hopes on GW2 failing...at the very, very worse it will be as bad as SWTOR...which is almost impossible, and at the end of the day, GW2 has no monthly subs, so less room for players to complain if servers go down (which they do not need to for a patch or fix). Hopefully the steep purchase price will be enough to keep the fanboy kids out of GW2 and in this pile of junk.
