How true It's one of the things other classes will never understand about Gunslinger/Sniper - you get two of us bumping into each other in a Warzone and it becomes a gentlemans duel, objectives and teammates go out the airlock. Gunslinging since early beta and looking forward to more pew-pew flying around the place.
  5. Standing cover? No it's not possible in game, it was available for a short time during beta, although it was eventually removed due to clipping and LOS issues.

Welcome back One of the major changes since you last played would be the decrease of TTK (Time To Kill), while in the past, around 1.2 and the like, you would have had a lot more time to set up your initial shots, you'll find a lot more burst being thrown around the game these days. With the rotation you've listed above (and, as a few other posters have touched upon) you're limiting yourself somewhat with your initial burst - while you're setting up with Vitalshot and Flourish other players are more than likely opening with heavier hitting attacks, thus killing your target before you can move on to the more substantial attacks. Make a few alterations to something a little more bursty and you should see things improve substantially, Cover, Instant CB, TS, AS can be a great Opener on a target enabling you to get a large percentage of the damage done to a target before teammates burn said target down. How are your key bindings at the moment? That's another aspect that can make all the difference - for SS especially and if you're using the Coverbar - a great combination is placing the ability Takecover on (for example) 2 with Charged burst also on the 2 key of the Coverbar, as the Coverbar and Mainbar overlap, you'll find that you get that initial Chatgeburst off substantially faster than you would waiting for the Coverbar to transition. Keep us up to date with your progress as you get back into the game

  9. Never overestimate the unwashed masses ability to understand an underdog class.
  10. Kashyyyk and Mustafar would like a word. We're not aware of everything that will come along with Rise of the Hutt Cartel at this point, it would make sense to hold off on the criticism until we know more. Regardless, it's £5.99.
  11. If you have a subscription and want to experience the new expansion content, then yes, you'll have to pay for the expansion: $9.99/£5.99 before 7th of January, for 5 days early access.

It's an interesting idea - originally Riflemen in SWG had a similar ability and it was fairly amusing - although not something that's really needed, as Gunslingers/Snipers I've always found that due to our range we generally get the Alpha strike anyway, it's once you start with the damage output that you get a little more attention from the other team. A well played Gunslinger/Sniper is actually pretty balanced in in the current game system.
