  1. Are they also going to allow us more free transfers too? Because if the answer is yes, then I’d happily transfer over my remaining credits from SF.
  2. I think that’s a more important point to check. Because you can send all the emails in the world to people who’ve left. But if you pissed them off enough to make them leave & some how get them to return & then majorly piss them off again, they’ll probably never come back no matter what you promise in your emails. When all trust has been totally lost because of mishandling or possibly lies, those emails will just get directed into people’s spam boxes from now on.
  3. Starting to sound like another broken promise to those players.
  4. They tried to do two completely different things at the same time that were nearly completely at odds with each other. It’s no wonder it’s been a disaster. The problem as I see it from a business manager perspective. Is they didn’t have a business plan done. If they did, it would have had direct financial goals & a risk assessment. Anyone who understands that stuff should have been easily able to see how at odds both concepts were before they even started. The business goal for APAC should have always been to reestablish the APAC player base & community with old & brand new players. This would have allowed the server to grow & make them the most money from subscribers & cash shop purchases. It should have been heavily promoted by the devs online & emails to old players 3-6 months ahead of time. And they should have been talking to the APAC gaming media in that time to say swtor was returning to the region. None of that would have cost them a cent. But paying for a few adverts closer to launch would have probably helped too. Word of mouth would have done the rest. Then offer proper subscriber bundles for new players. That give them a bunch of CC to open up stuff in the game. 16 free transfers for all APAC located subscriber players & 1 free transfer for each extra character server slot that people paid to open. 2 Free transfers for all APAC located preferred players & 1 Free transfers for F2P if those accounts were opened before the server launched. Transfers should have opened for APAC subscribers on day 1 of the server launch. With zero credit restrictions except character level (same as usual transfers). A week later they could have opened up transfers for non subscribers & people not located in the APAC region. With the caveat that you can’t transfer off the APAC server for 12 months. All of that should have happened but didn’t. No one else to blame except the people in charge.
  5. It didn’t have to be, but the Devs went out of their way to make it this way. Whether through mismanagement, indecision or something more twisted, it’s 100% their fault. Because it’s not like they weren’t repeatedly warned at the start of all this & repeatedly retold by most of the APAC community (on the the forums & SM) what would happen if they continued to ignore the region's player base & yet they ignored us. So the fault is theirs, not ours. So the server has not lived up to its obvious potential because of them.
  6. There is no reason to get rid of any server based on your reply. This thread & posts feel like you are trying to cause division within the player base & start a fight between players. Which is why I’m going to bring this thread to @JackieKo attention. Jackie I believe this thread should be removed.
  7. In what regard? What’s your case for getting rid of any server?
  8. This is an interesting point. It’s possible the Guild database system was developed after the chat database too. Which could explain the discrepancy. The only way to find out why this is different, would be for someone from the dev team confirming the situation.
  9. Steve, I maybe wrong, so correct me if I am. I remember when swtor released there were no second names. So if you wanted a name that would make it look like a second name, we all had to use symbols like - ‘ , to seperate the names. But the <space> bar letter/symbol (for a better terminology) wasn’t allowed at that time, which prevented having 2 separated words in the name. And we’ve never been able to have more than one capital letter in the single word name. ie, a name like Luke Skywalker would have to be Luke-skywalker or Luke’skywalker Then at some point after I created this particular account in 2016 (I had 3 accounts), they added the ability to have a space between the names. Is it possible the devs at the time just took a short cut with chat database & added the <space> bar key as an allowable symbol in the name creation? That would explain why the first letter of the second name is always a lower case letter & why it might actually be a bigger job to fix than people realise. Because as far as the chat database is concerned, it’s not 2 words making up the name, it’s actually one word with a <space> symbol being used as a letter.
  10. Rather they delay it instead and of releasing it broken. But it would be nice to have a heads up from the devs if that is the case. Silence doesn’t foster good community relations.
  11. The way the discord server has been setup, means the invite isn’t permanent. Because of that, it’s only a 7 day invite & if I forget to update my signature weekly, it stops working. All the other SW discords I belong to have a permanent invite link. I’m not sure why this one was setup this way or if it can be changed. But it would certainly help & I wouldn’t need to change my signature every week 😞
  12. True, but it really sucks when you’re playing on a low population server where PvP & GSF isn’t popping.
  13. Basically exactly like my post. See how their names are highlighted in yellow. The way to ping someone is to use the @ symbol at the beginning of their forum name. So if I was pinging myself for instance, I would type @ trixxietriss but there wouldn’t be a space between the @ symbol & my name which ends up looking like this @TrixxieTriss
