  1. I'm having trouble understanding the title. Is there an alternate meaning to the word pants other than what you wear?
  2. I'm sorry, I don't really focus much on pvp. I would imagine it translates rather well for maximizing single target dps in a plant and burn situation. I can't speak for all of the other variables related to PVP.
  3. It might be worth revisiting the gear levels that drop as well. I think before it was determined that it will be the same ilvl as HM TFB. Through the use of reverse engineering I know a lot if guilds will be in full 63s in the very near future through this feature alone. This provides little incentive with regards to drops. Obviously completing a difficult encounter is a great incentive but there's not much longevity in that reward. Any update on incentives outside of gear if previous information still stands?
  4. Confirmed... Cost us quite a few heartbreaking wipes. We founding counting to 5 then jumping off to be a reliable solution until this is resolved. Good luck on your kill!
  5. I think the point was, that ship has already sailed. It would be pretty exhausting to redo a world first list every time bioware decided to make a change to a fight.
  6. Yea... There's really nothing standing in the way of any guild killing it without the "bug" today on live. If that's what chosen wants to do, go do it and make a thread about it I guess.
  7. As 1.4 is coming out - I know a lot of sorcs are trying to put in the last ditch efforts to min max. As I don't believe it has been explicitly spelled out, I have put together a list based on the pieces laid out on the initial post - based around the madness spec. From there, there's only slight modifications to achieve BiS for the other 2 specs. This gear set assumes full 26 armorings in all pieces, full epic augments, and a 41 power crystal. Madness: Mods: Aptitude 26: 6 Mettle 26: 2 Enhancements: Adept 26: 3 Battle 26: 2 Insight 26: 1 ___________________________________________________ Lightning Spec BiS from Madness BiS Adept 26 --> Quick Savant 26 Battle 26 --> Quick Savant 26 ___________________________________________________ Hybrid Spec BiS from Madness BiS Adept 26 --> Battle 26 Adept 26 --> Insight 26
  8. Just out of curiosity, what would a "good raid leader" use as a gauge for telling who is pulling their weight? Why would any "good raid leader" completely ignore a quantifiable unbiased metric if it were at their disposal? I mean... if raider A and raider B both are equally prepared for a raid, execute the fights flawlessly and strive for min/maxing their gearsets - then they would appear to be equal in your eyes. However, raider B is absolutely dead last when you take a look at the meters because his uptime % on the boss is abysmal and his rotation is way our of whack. I don't get why meters are always an eyesore for some members of the raiding community - it is merely a tool. When used properly it can only benefit the raid group, and when competition is introduced, it actually makes people try harder than they normally would.
  9. I don't think people are confusing the two, merely making an assumption that the bug is likely a direct result of the change. Anyone who would argue otherwise does not have very good deductive reasoning skills
  10. I mean the fight is purely based around percentage timers. However, certain abilities that the bosses do are timed, so burning it to a certain percentage will trigger the start of one timer - but maintaining a high dps will only require you to wait until that timer has expired. For example you typically have to hold dps around 70% and 30% in order to prevent wipes. Higher dps will only make this wait longer and increase the chance of raiders spacing out and pushing before the timing requires, causing stupid wipes.
  11. Considering I already have 10 pieces of gear augmented, I doubt an extra 4 will make that big of a difference. A lot of the content is very strat based and not too much can be mitigated by stats. You may eliminate gibs from being undergeared, and perhaps 2nd double destructions from occurring, but beyond that it's more about execution at this stage. As a side note, better gear tends to make Zorn and Toth harder, go figure!
  12. Agreed - this needs attention. Funny thing is this wasn't an issue on dead servers before the merger. As long as you leave someone active in the instance it should keep you tied to the same one. However, in the long run this is not very acceptable. So any fix regarding this would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'd suggest bumping this thread in the meantime to increase awareness about what needs to be down to circumvent this annoyance.
