  1. Man, do I feel like an idiot now. Thanks for putting me straight. That was indeed exactly it. I never had worn one on a republic character.
  2. The model was changed for this craftable armor. It was great! Please revert it back ASAP!
  3. Thanks for letting us know.
  4. There seems to be another thread about this, and the server is deded. Let's use the other thread. Mods lock this, please.
  5. Server status says it is up, no one else is complaining. Two different computers, which makes game / cache etc. corruption super unlikely - both can connect flawlessly to everywhere else. Tried with VPN on and off with both, too. Two different accounts tested, as well. I can connect to Leviathan. Game just froze on a loading screen transferring from Hammerstation to the Imprerial fleet after finishing the FP. Ideas?
  6. I put in an effort just for you. I logged in with my main for the first time in a while. It is a legacy level 17 character that I apparently will not be playing again. It is prime time in EU. There are six (6) people in fleet. So while you are technically right, it was my choice to reroll. You are also in the context of this discussion not quite that right: There really was no choice if I wanted to actually play. So the choice was not play (warzones, ops etc) or reroll. And now Bioware thinks it is quite all right to add insult to injury and not let me merge my characters. Also, the discussion is polarized. The apologists say that the restrictions put in are the only way, because restrictions are needed. That is not correct. There can be restrictions to achieve a goal - say not crows The Fatman more. Simply do not allow transfers to The Fatman except for the people that had a level X character there this morning. Problem solved and many other problems could be solved with a little less harsh restrictions. Also, before the twisting of words start: Yes, they would probably need other restrictions. But there is a long way from having necessary restrictions to achieve goals to having no flexibility at all. There is room for real solutions here.
  7. No, I can't say that they did hold a gun to my head. They did, as a service provider, give me this advice though. Obviously as services go, there is the obvious thing to do, which I have follwoed. However, I quite like the game, so I am looking for solutions. When all is said and done, I do think mine are better than your "suck it up" as far as Bioware and their customers are concerned. You are of course free to disagree.
  8. Nice post mate! I just want to point out that it, indeed, is Bioware's fault that people have characters on different servers. After all, they did tell us to roll on a higher pop server while we wait for this character transfer. Also, I may be mistaken, but I haven't seen anyone asking for extra character slots here. Can you deal with these facts? Or do you have to suck them up?
  9. You are mistaken. What if people have their own characters on a different types of servers? What exactly is the benefit of this restriction, anyway? It does nothing but annoy the people it affects. A thing I think we can at least agree that BW can't afford at the current situation.
  10. Apparently there are multiple issues, other than just my own, with the otherwise welcome and indeed quite anticipated character transfers as they are planned now. At least: The guild issues The name issues Consolidation of characters -issues The server type -issue. Especially RP-PVP. Legacy issues Grouping friends from several servers -issue I think the character transfer not working out will be a rather big issue for SWTOR going forward. I certainly have made my mind unless BW changes their plans very soon. It is a shame if they can't see reason as there are solutions to these issues. I can immediately see at least: Consolidation of characters should be a no brainer. If BW were simply to allow people to choose from all of their characters - up to 8 of course - to be moved to a server they have characters eligible to be moved, problem would be solved. This would not mess up with their plans, since none of us can play on more than one server at a time anyway. Bioware really owes this to us too, for suggesting that we reroll on higher population servers while we wait, anyway. The whole problem is largely the result of their earlier solution. There should be no restrictions of server types between the characters of a single player. RP-PVP issue really shouldn't be an issue anyway. Making it one is mind boggling. There is just one RP-PVP server for each language in Europe anyway and none of those servers are even medium loaded. Simply let people choose either RP-PVE or PVP server. Choice of two would be enough.
  11. So this went to the box. Feel free to check if you have rights. I had two main characters on a server that lost theri populations. You promised character transfers and told us to keep playing. I did and I waited. I now have six characters wit a lot of time and effort on their crafing skills on one server and two lvl 50s and a legacy on the original. Apparently you saw fit not to allow me to combine these assets. Apparently you saw fit to not give a date on when I could pay to do so. I feel there is no sense of achievement to be had leveling alts anymore. I feel there is no urge to level six more alts on the server you will designate my mains to. I feel there is no fun in playing under these circumstances and after enduring a disappointment after another the fact that you chose to not deliver fully on character transfers, I am done and disgruntled. Good bye.
  12. The reports now seem to say that I, for certain, cannot choose the server where my characters will go. This is a bad thing, Bioware. I have two level 50's and a fairly high legacy on a dead PVP server. Since the server died I have been enjoying the game, as Bioware instructed. I now have six mid level alts with very good crafting skills to complement my mains on a mid load RP-PVP server. I have used quite a bit of time and effort to level the characters and especially their crafting skills. I was fully expecting to pay for the transfer of my mains. So, apparently I am stuck? I won't level another batch of six alts and their crafting skills from scratch and I can't see any mention of paid transfers to a server of my own choosing. I hope that I am mistaken, but this is the last straw if I am not. Make no mistake about it.
