Yeah there is a quest on the space station that sends you back for the bonus series but it's not until around lvl 30-35.

Yeah, there is an advanced purple version of the yellow crystal just like with other green, blue, red crystals. If I remember it only gives you an additional 1-2 (based on the first lvl 7 crystal) to critical or endurance though so I don't know if you would consider that to be worth it.

Yeah I ordered mine on Amazon and just got it this morning. Only had to pay 99 cents for one day shipping too.
