  1. Ok, I'm new here so please forgive me if this suggestion has been made. *clearing throat* Why is there NO OPTION to fall, OR for redemption!!!!?????? Seriously?!!! This franchise has long been about redemption and corruption, from political organization to clandestine sub-groups to individual people, whether Force Sensitive or not. So why, in this world of second-chances (be it the Force-sensitive moisture farmer with the divine destiny, or the cruel mass murderer that sacrifices himself to save his son), is there no room to 'change course' in this game!? I would LOVE nothing more than to have a Jedi who, at some point in the story, has the chance to become corrupt if the player so chooses and facing all the consequences and conflict that brings! Or being a dark, powerful Sith who has a chance to come back to the Light side. You kind of have the option with your Sith apparition story arc, but nothing comes of it!? I think that was a missed opportunity. What if, somewhere during your Jedi/Sith story you could switch tracks and play the rest of the game from the other side? Or be a smuggler who sees the profit to be made by betraying the Republic? Or the Bounty Hunter who thinks it's better to hunt criminals than be one? How about a trooper who comes to see the Republic as broken, or an Agent who truly DOES become a spy for the enemy? I know, I know. It's a LOT of work. And I'm oblivious to all the nuance and tech required to make something like I'm suggesting. I just can't believe that a franchise as intricate as this, and a company as devoted to immersion as this, can't figure out a way to make it happen. This is one of the ONLY MMORPGs that allow your toon to SPEAK, and with genuine, flavor! So, why not take it above and beyond and let the industry see that this Universe is still setting the standards!

    PvP Noob

So let me understand, people with no experience shouldn't play? Then how are they expected to GET experience? I doubt you came from the womb knowing how to PvP. I thought that was the purpose of RANKED WZs - a place for all you elite pros to go ballistic on each other? So what, that pond is too big, so let's go back to the kiddie pool and bully all the people learning to swim? Ooooo, impressive. Anyway,... To the others who gave me supportive, constructive advise - I got the Cyno-something set. LOL And I'm playing a Sith Marauder. I have not re-modded the gear yet, although it seems to be fitted with mods aimed at critical and power, which is what I was told DPS should have. I DO have both lightsabers equipped with +41 Expertise crystals...I'll have to check my total Expertise score. And no, I have not yet gotten all the relics, earpieces & implants as PvP gear. So maybe that's part of it. I'll take a look. I am on both Bastion and Jung Ma, but my Lv. 65 is Bastion. Lastly, if you have good PvP gear do you NEED Ops gear, or can you effectively run Ops in solid PvP gear too? Thanks for all the feedback.

    PvP Noob

So, I only just reached Lv. 65 and I had been saving up my WZ Comms like a good little noob - I went out and got a set from the PvP vendor in the Combat Training area. I'm still getting completely owned like I'm Lv. 15! Someone told me I needed Ranked PvP gear....now mind you, I did NOT get Basic PvP gear, I got an Advanced Set...still not getting it done. Then I went back over to the Supplies section of the Fleet and saw the PvP gear there seems to be higher quality, but still is only a max item Rating of 216 - mine is 208 now!? I'm soooo confused. ...and don't even get me started on Ops Gear?!! Anyways, if ANYONE could please reply to this post, or can put me in touch with a PvP guild that will actually TEACH me on Bastion Server, that would be great! Thanks. Fly Casual!
  4. My apologies, I'm new to the whole Stronghold thing. I've been playing awhile, but only just started exploring the SH aspects...could someone tell me WHICH worlds currently have personal strongholds?? And do you know their costs? Because every site I'm finding is basing price on creds and as far as I know, you can also buy them with Cartel Coins? Anyway, if someone could get back to me on these points, that would be great! And yes, I agree that Manaan would be an AWESOME place for a SH! Also, Hoth! (if that's not an option yet, lol). Fly casual!

    Slots

I was just wondering where to find the slot machines? I have a few coins, but I'm not sure where to use them. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for all the information! It was helpful. I need to slow down a bit and look around. But you both clarified a great deal for me, so thanks again.
  7. I have already posted something similar in a thread which was simply a 'topic point', however I really do think it would be an amazing thing to be able to 'fall to the dark side' or be 'redeemed by the light' for characters. If there were story lines that allowed this development, I think it would be an outstanding addition to an already stellar (no pun intended) game experience! Originally, I thought it WAS an option! When I first played, I created a Jedi Knight, and in the cave on Tython when you confront that first dark apprentice, one of the conversation options is 'can I join you?' So, naturally, I thought you had the ability to 'switch sides' if you wanted. I didn't choose that, I was being a true Jedi padawan and fiercly loyal, but I was surprised to find there was no option for it. Especially in a franchise (both film and books), that is rife with failures, corruption, hope and redemption. I mean really, if Vader could be saved..... Some say it would be too complicated, but it could be an option that only unlocked at a certain point, or after so many Legacy points, or something. I don't know. It just seems like there is an epic opportunity for further story lines, deeper character development and entirely new missions, flashpoints and more. Please, consider this as a real option? See what people think. Well, thanks for listening to my rant.
  8. Ok, so I'm fairly new to this particular game world, but I've never seen so many different currency types and it's making me crazy! Seriously, I understand that equipment options are frequently based on commendations, and I quickly figured out how to get them BUT; now I'm finding cartel certificates and fabrication slots and fleet commendations and.....ahhhhhh:confused: HELP?!!!???? And about strongholds; I got mine and all the complementary ginch that came with it, which is awesome BUT, I spent my single currency to (what I thought was buy a table), only to discover that I had not purchased the table, but simple increased my 'unlocks' for the table???/ I don't understand. I read through the tutorials and I just can't seem to grasp it! I feel like I have a head full of carbonite - someone, please clarify/simplify or just plain explain?! Thanks.
  9. I have been contemplating this same thing; I'm working on a Jedi Knight that is a breath away from falling, so I'm glad to know that class has some solid feedback. But I agree, that each character is defined more by the player, than by abstract alignments. Still, I think it would be truly sick if the game allowed for fall/redemption story arcs. It would be complex, but it could easily be reserved for players of a certain level, kinda like WoW did with their Death Knight class at first; you had to be Lv 50 to do even open the option. But it would be nice to see an immersive exploration of starting as a Jedi and truly falling to the Sith; or conversely, beginning as an Acolyte of darkness and being redeemed by the Light. Alas,...I can dream, right? Fly Casual.
