GW2 is below expectations? LOL! Perhaps you should buy it and be in the next beta event, you will soon realize what a huge FLOP TOR is... That being said, The Sims / Madden, etc. were around BEFORE TOR and will still be around AFTER TOR. I haven't played BF3 in a few months, but FPS are always big money makers. This game is dead, only fanboys don't see it. I was in fleet last night prime time and had 10 people on. The fact they are placing it by a golf game should tell you something. I seriously doubt the active subscriber base is anywhere near the 1M mark. Good luck to you all, I really hope they merge servers soon so you can continue to play the game you like. I already feel ripped off for purchasing the digital deluxe edition which gave me nothing of note only less money in my pocket. Agreed, WoW's numbers are highly fudged by humongous number of Chinese gold farmers... that said and looking at current server populous I would doubt SWTOR has more than 500k ACTIVE players. I was in a guild with 100+ people and currently 2 play. D3 and then GW2 are going to affect activity and therefore future and current subscriptions as people don't like to play empty MMOs.

This is TRUE but FALSE... you can't buy ANYTHING that benefits you in game or gives you an advantage. If you had actually already BOUGHT and PLAYED GW2 in it's beta(s) you would be better informed.

This issue was brought up many many times in closed beta, open beta, game release, etc. Many of us gave up as most of the beta testers' concerns were not even addressed and the game was pushed to a Christmas release so the fat cats at EA (voted the worse company in the US, good job!) could have a fat Christmas bonus. I feel for you folks who don't see what happened here and are blinded by your love for the genre... T-minus 7h30m for my GW2 beta weekend, a game that will be released when "it's ready"! Since you don't have a level 50 and you've been around since release, you are more than likely not going to unsub for lack of content and broken end game. They are clearly trying to hold the populous for as long as they can because a mass exodus was and still is coming. This desperate move will just inflate their "subbed" numbers for the EA stock holders, nothing new from a greedy company that rushes a game out before Christmas to make more profit.

1.2 is nothing more than a cash sink update with some bling to hide that fact. No rated warzones is the final fail by BW on this title as it will soon have only the fanboys left on the one populated server per zone. It's a sad thing that EA did to us by pushing this game to live by Christmas to make $$$ knowing danm well it wasn't ready! Thanks for the "free" 30 days you sent me BW, but I still wont log in.

No mergers, too many empty servers and now a queue on the only "real" servers with players because everyone still paying re-rolled on them. Essentially this game is running on one server EU and one in US, I'd say the numbers are indeed dropping. Pre-ordered GW2, done with this madness here.
