  1. Because they really don't care, how long did it take them to respond to the thread about server concerns, Many months without an answer? What should we do about the APAC server? whatever will make/save us the most money.
  2. I parse about 3/4 of the damage on on US servers compared to the APAC. Anyone who says ping and server lag is not an issue just doesn't know the facts. Aussie guilds will always be at a disadvantage for PVE raid encounters which are tuned to players reaching there max dps with a good connection. In PVP when ever i force jump to a player with a marauder, by the time my character gets there the other player is long gone. When a player attacks me by the time I see that they are attacking I'm already half dead. I know a few Aussies will give the US server a go, but I'm not willing to pay for a subpar experience, for a company that cares more about its wallet then customer satisfaction, good luck to them.
  3. Bioware/EA are just going for the cash grab, they have never cared about there customer's just there money, its completely obvious after all this time. There decision here means that they will make more money shutting the servers down then they would merging them into one. Maybe they will fire some more people that were doing the APAC updates/maintenance, save money on hosting. They would of already factored the unsubs into account. After all this time do you really think they give a crap about what the player experiences of merging PVE, PVP, RP would be like? No! That doesn't sound like Bioware/EA to me at all. All the people I've seen QQ on the forum for so long and be ignored. Nothing you can do here will change the dollar line which Bioware/EA make decisions by. It's such a crying shame cause if they listened to there customers more since launch they would of made a lot more money. So with that I'd like to thank all the people that made playing on Dalborra such an enjoyable experience for me. You are all a great bunch of people. I've raided and grouped with a lot of guilds thanks for letting me come along to join in the fun. Unsubbed. Rusty - Offen - Aono - Kaug - Boktor - Onon
  4. 1.6 un-subbed thanks for not listening to your customers, releasing bugs before testing properly. I know that your corporate greed business model is all about maximizing cash, and not caring what your customers say at all, it showed when you failed hard and had to release F2P, this was your opportunity to redeem the game and instead you come up with a shop to try and suck even more money out of fans. I hate what the spin doctors have done to this game with there bunch of lies. Instead of firing management that where killing the game from the beginning you fire the wrong people.I don't know how you can live with yourself. I suppose your quest for phat profits blind you. Well no more, there is still people that believe in paying to have a good time, coupled with a good old customer service, and listening to your customers, and the fact is you didn't provide this. Actually you would of made more money with this business model. Instead of thinking this is star wars and fans will just fork over the money no matter how you treat them.
  5. I doubt its that many at all, not compared to the subscription base from my visual observations, then again I am on Asia pacific, so we have a rather stunted view thanks to our poor numbers. But anyway discussing metrics we don't have against what you visually perceive is pointless with no data, and we are moving off the topic of the majority want the prices of cartel market lowered. You can conduct a survey if you like ask in general chat. who thinks the price of cartel armors and crystals is too high, take several surveys the amount of people that have already bought matters not the answer will be the same. Also who would like to equip various armors for visual effect without having to re-mod them.
  6. I think you are talking about armor through cartel packs, where as I'm talking about the rest of the overpriced junk and armor sets on the actual cartel market. I'm not talking about anything listed on the GTN which is where the confusion creeps in, but whatever the point is still the same the cartel market items are way to expensive and you will find just about everyone agrees. Sure there are a few people that bought new sets of armor sets at launch directly off the cartel market, I just attribute that to the opening of the cartel. Hopefully discounts will start to creep in for armor sets and crystals as not many people will pay those kind of prices. I'd love to see the data on it, I bet the sales for armor and crystal purchased direclty off the cartel market have declined rapidly since launch. Hence why you can start seeing these discounts.
  7. You can see a couple of small discounts start to creep in. I think a lot of the items on the cartel market are not selling at all. The reason is obvious, the cartel items are way too expensive, even a 50% discount is not enough. Stop aiming for the greedy cash grab and start aiming for a nicer experience, people will pay, just not at retarded prices. Armor suits you should add another tab for cosmetics so people can swap in armor what they want to wear without having to remod all there gear, so people can easily swap and wear what they want.
  8. This should never of happened. You have no one else to blame but yourselves for releasing the game way before it was ready, and for your cheap shortcuts trying to save money. Your poor decision making as well as lack of proper testing of the game has led to this point. Pissing off the player base is never a good business model and you have done it many, many times. It is an ultimate failure of management, who are probably more then happy to drive the game into the ground with there bad idea's then move on. Here is a working business model for next time, listen to your customers, do not Nerf players/characters, do not release a product before its ready and polished, don't be so cheap on tech and staff, fire some of the useless management/board to pay for it all.
  9. Are you working for Bioware mate? cause good job on getting the servers up earlier then normal, you guys are great!. If you could you present the possibility of patching US times from now on as the majority of US people have said they have no problem with patches in there primetime or being patched twice a week or more, cause its good to fix these bugs.
  10. All the people defending the patch times, I bet have never had there playtime patched at all. Kind of wish you could experience it and see how your tune would change. Please change the patch to US primetime twice a week because they don't mind the patches, and they don't have any problems with it at all.
  11. I'd rather more quality control testing to not release the bugs in the first place.
  12. Hi Bioware. I'd just like you to know that due absurdly high number of patches in Australian prime time, I'll soon be examining whether I want to keep my subscription or not. I don't really care if you are fixing issues/problems that you created or broke from other patches. You need to take a good look at improving your quality control and testing of patches, because its obvious to everyone you are doing this on the cheap. Everything you put out is broken in some way from the game at release, to every single patch, and I've almost had enough. I don't pay good money to support incompetence and lack of quality due to corporate greed or maybe i do.
  13. I'm actually wondering what the point of having an Asia pacific server is, sure you get a little better ping, but if your patching primetime all the time what is the point. I could live with the crappy ping of being on a US server, I already have in every other mmo. Its the Aussie prime time patches that annoy the hell out of me.
  14. This is most probably the most correct answer. But could easily be solved by region blocking on the server patch days, it would still piss off a small minority of EU, US, AUS who play on different servers other then there base country one. But it will never be done, they will patch the least played times, which happens to be Australian prime time. I like the idea of being able to patch the servers while they are still online that I read somewhere, its so bloody brilliant that if i ever run a couple 100 millions dollar mmo, this is exactly what I would do.
  15. People have the right as customers to complain, just no one will hear your complaints except other players. I doubt any of the devs or people running the company even read the forums, just some outsourced cheap customer service to move and close thread. If its true that Bioware cant patch any of the clients/servers separately then its a bad design decision imo. Trying to cut costs while pissing off your player base is bad for business. The game looks like its run on this kind of business model though everyone can see it clearly. Even if they lose player subscriptions at a massive rate, the questions they will ask are how can we improve things, by patching in friend trials and free weekends, improving the game or listening to the player base on what they want is not even part of the equation.
