  1. Just wanted to add I would love to have some type of pushback skill but since both of the other tanks already have one, I figured they would not give us one. Another stun or immobilization skill would be nice but again I do not see Bio giving any class any more of these. I thought maybe "rally call" that increases all nearby friendly players (HP, Alacrity, Power, Absorb, primary stat, etc. (pick one)). Again, some ideas.
  2. I love my Vanguard and it is my main. The one down fall for the tank spec is that it lacks some utility. I have two ideas that I think would make them more desirable: 1. Harpoon a Friendly: Somewhere in Tank tree, make it possible for a Vanguard tank to pull a friendly to them. I know Sages have this but it would not be the first time that Bio mimicked skills among classes. 2. Tactful Roll: You roll 10 meters backwards from target (4 meter range). I see this as a great skill as you could "roll" away from target then pull them to you, peeling them off of their intended target. I know these are just concepts but I do believe we need more skills of this nature. I have other ideas as well but I believe these two would be the easiest to implement.
  3. was just wondering if anyone runs a shield spec in DPS gear and how does it hold up in PVP? Or is it just better to stick with defense gear? I have run tactics in ion and it does okay but was wondering the opposite. Thank you in advance.
  4. I have both and I am trying to determine in my limited time which I should concentrate on for PvP (I plan on a "tank" specc). I am just looking for opinions on which you think brings the most to he table for a warzone/arena encounter. I enjoy the fluid play style of the Vanguard but Guardian seems to have more useful cc talents. Again, just looking for opinions.
  5. Is there a working tactics build that uses Ion Cell? I have read some posts that say this can work but was wondering if going pure tactics was better.
  6. Which build do you think has the biggest impact on your average warzone/arena? I am an recreational player and can not dedicate the time I would like so I would like to concentrate on one of the builds and get as good as I can with it. Any opinions?
  7. So after experimenting with all classes, my favorite is by far the trooper. My two level 55 characters are a Commando and Vanguard. I dinged them both with in a few days of each other about a week ago. My question is if you had to pick either Vanguard or Commando as you only trooper that you could play from this point on, which would you pick and why? I love the sit back and blast style of the Commando and I feel like even my equipment sucks, I can bring something to the table in both PVE and PVP. With better equipment I will only get better. My Vanguard was my first character and I loved the Ironfist specc (I was away from the game for awhile before coming back recently). I have found that the Vanguard seems more gear dependent but has the potential to be pretty fun (after getting better equip). Vanguard in PVE seems like more "work" and in PVP its melee is fun but is second fiddle to the other melee classes, at least with the crappy equip I currently have. So I ask again, if you had to pick one, for both PVE and PVP, which would you choose to put the work and effort into??
  8. I posted this in commando folder but I figure I would post it here as well. I used to heal quite a bit in WOW but I relied on the mouse over feature. It SWTOR, selecting the target appears to be the only way unless I feel like tabbing through friendlys to find the one who needs healing the most. I was just curious how you seasoned healers "select" your target?

  10. I posted this in the PVP forum but I thought I would post it here as well. New Skill idea that could solve SOME of our issues: Name: Tactful Retreat (or whatever) Cost: 0 Duration: 20 seconds (can be tweaked) Cool down: 2 minutes (can be tweaked) Description: Single target non-channeled skills can be cast while moving.

  12. It could be a trait along the tank line but make cryo grenade an AOE that affects up to two more people. This would help crowd control greatly and increase survivability. Just my two cents.
  13. I have been AFK from SWTOR for half a year and now I am back. I have a level 50 Vanguard and I used to play the Iron Fist Spec. Obviously that is not what it used to be so I am looking for input on what class is best for staying alive in a crowd. I tried a "tank" spec with my Vanguard and granted my gear is a little out of date but it is not to bad. I am fine if no one targets me but the minute I have one or two on me, I am toast rather fast. So my question is what class has the best survivabilty and benefit for a group in PVP? I was thinking Guardian but did not know if I should just concentrate on my Vanguard or even try Shadpw. Maybe better equip would help. I would appreaciate any input. Thank You in advance.
  14. So I recently acheived 60 valor. My question is where do you think I should spend my tokens? All my gear is champion except for my weapon which is Centurion. I run Ironfist with Combat Tech gear (accuracy swapped out where I can). So I was thinking my best bet would try to get the BM weapon first, since it is the biggest upgrade. I was also thinking of grabbing the Tank blaster for the endurance. Any sugestions on this? Again, I appreacite opinions and help. Thanks
  15. But in hold the line, u can be stunned if I am correct....
