  1. If I'm not mistaken, it is a static number (like force armor on sages, I believe that is described as 'protecting for a moderate amount of damage'). From my personal experience it appears to be slightly weaker than blade barrier on my Guard. Could be a variable amount like you're asking, but I doubt it.
  2. Ausgelebt, sorry to offend. I wasn't trying to trivialize the importance of HoJ, was simply trying to point out that it's essentially the only thing that wouldn't be covered in the guide I posted. As I put in the thread I linked to you, he appears to no longer be active on the forums. I'm going to start looking into updating the information in the guide, however, it may take a while. You may also want to check out the marauder forums for info since that's the mirror class to sentinel.
  3. Slivovidze, I was doing some looking, it appears as though BlznSmri is no longer active on the forums (last post 3 months ago). I'll look into creating a new thread with updated information, it may take a little while though.
  4. I wouldn't feel bad about it, BlznSmri is very nice and very knowledgeable (especially about Combat). If it so happens that he does not revise the Guide someone (me?) might take his collection of work and revise it in a new thread. But just so you know, the only 'earth shattering' change to Combat was the addition of Hand of Justice (allows you to Dispatch any target on proc); so the information there is still relevant.
  5. This is the Sent forums, I doubt he has sabre throw; unless you mean twin sabre throw. What I start with is Valorious Call -> Force Leap -> Zen -> Force Sweep -> Force Exhaustion -> Master Strike -> Blade Storm. Using Force Exhaustion and Master Strike after a Force Sweep is imperative due to the 9% damage boost after Force Sweep.
  6. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=513319 That's pre-2.0, but a good basis. Maybe you could try and necro the thread and get it updated for 2.0.
  7. Pretty much, but a few caveats. First, make sure prior to Force Sweep you have Felling Blow (auto crit on force sweep, obtained from Force Leap or Zealous Leap) and three stacks of Singularity (increases Force Sweep damage by 100% at three stacks, obtained from Force Exhaustion or Combat Focus). Second, make sure your 'hard hitters' come after a Force Sweep, as it grants Heightened Power (increases all damage by 3/6/9% for 6 seconds after Force Sweep).
  8. I do something similar when I'm healing or tanking this fight. I have the tank hold the boss right at the console you summon him from and then as the healer I stand near the cove the quoted person is talking about. Watching my target-of-target, i just back up when I see rampage. And as the quoted reply mentions, as long as you stay out for when the stun is cast, you can move back in and start healing before the rampage is over. From my experiences with the fight, the stun happens between the first and second pulse of damage (I believe there is 5 total).
  9. Not sure about that. Could be a hybrid trigger, though I'm not sure they have those in this game. I've definitely seen way more than 4 groups before. So maybe there is a timer which spawns and resets every certain amount of hp?
  10. Thought I'd share mine. I was tanking on a guardian with two guildies (gunslinger dps and scoundrel healer) on a lvl 55 HM FP. We got paired with a sentinel dps. Started the first couple of pulls, noticed he wasn't attacking things I was tanking (cc'd or mez'd), though typically not a big deal. We were all kind of confused because he was just getting crushed. We wrote it off as our healer just wasn't paying attention due to him being on a phone call. A little latter, he pulls aggro on a weak mob which I missed on my aoe taunt, and he gets trashed. Now I'm concerned, because our healer is no longer on the phone. So I look at his hp; he has a little less than 14k hp. I'm like "oh, he's wearing aweful gear". So I take a quick peak and see he's wearing mostly greens and only one relic (a lvl 19 one). "Meh, I've seen worse" I think. We get to the to the wookie boss (Cadimemu) and I notice he doesn't have any buffs on. He hadn't died at that point, he came close a few times when he was picking up the trash I didn't have aggro on, but hadn't died yet. So we buff him and go onto the wookie boss. We some how manage to kill the boss (I died once and the sent died once) even though there were 7 or 8 groups of adds. We res him and then over voice I hear my healer say "haha, good thing you haven't looked at this guys gear yet Xiij" (in my guild I've got a reputation of being a 'gear nazi'). So I say, "What do you mean? I looked at it, he's wearing 55 greens, not the worst gear I've seen". I was wrong, waaay wrong. After my healer tells me to take another look, I notice that despite the items are in fact 55 greens, they were not strength items. He had a large quantity of cunning and willpower items... This made me laugh because he had asked for the cunning drop the wookie dropped, we all assumed it was for Doc, probably not though.
  11. Sorry I didn't mean to burst your bubble. You're right though, either way it's hilarious. My guild tried this on 8m (not realizing that it was a 16m bug) and found that the 5 officers can EASILY out heal any dps done.
  12. There is a bug on 16m where the adds have an incorrect amount of health. If you look at your video closely, the Dread Guard Officers have 3566 hp (instead of 56520) and the Dread Guard's have 1606 (instead of 25455). Now, if you watch closely, after they die, their hp bar represents the correct total value of their health.
  13. Is the deletion protocol what is killing you? If the deletion protocol is what is killing you, then you need to make sure that the cleanser and cleansee (targeted + shielder as you put it) are standing on top of one another. The op alert text should display a message stating that the action was performed. We typically have both people stand under the boss (like on Sav in LI) to make sure that both players are in the correct spot. Also, if you do miss a deletion protocol, you need to not have anyone behind the person being deleted, the deletion is actually a conal attack. PS: Sorry for double post, figured editing in this response would muttle up previous post.
  14. As one of the earlier posters mentioned, there are a numerous amount of ways to do this fight. There are a few things to note about the fight (which I've been told / experienced, however may not be 100% accurate). First, phase 1 does not count against enrage timer of phase 2. Whether this is actually true or not is hard to determine (especially now with the way the Rectifiers work); however, my guild intentionally fails two phases to help clean up adds, so if healing is an issue, this may be a helpful solution. Second, there is no hard enrage for phase 1. Again, this is just speculation, but we got disorganized one time and failed a single phase like 4 times in a row, with no seeming consequences (other than the Rectifiers). This fight requires a boat load of coordination, no matter what your strategy is; here is how my guild does it (slightly different from the previous poster with an in depth guide). Strat: Slightly different approach than the third reply, but there are some key points to be highlighted: Regulators must be interrupted (as he stated). Inspiration / Blood Thirst on yellow if you're having a dps issue (as he stated). Positioning for ranged dps is important, standing next to their column they can hit adds or a core easily (as he stated). Rectifiers must be killed ASAP. The ops-wide damage WILL wipe you. If you have to fail a phase, the best ones to fail are those who spawn Recognizers (blue and purple).
