  1. Tried asking in the dev stream about this, I have also tried messaging both Tait and Eric on the forums to get a response, even if its a just a simple message saying they know about the issue and that its being worked on but I haven't heard anything back yet. I can only hope this will be fixed in the patch on Tuesday, but I have a feeling it won't be.
  2. Forget about PvP on a PT too, you can have fights lasting longer than a ops boss at times, and to have to change the way you play just to keep under heatcap is not the way to play. At theis point just a response saying you are working on the issue would be nice as right now, it feels like this problem is being ignored in favour of anything else.
  3. Can you please tell us when we are likely to get a fix to PT tank? The Flame Engine proc is breaking the class for many as it doesn't work. I understand you guys maybe busy, but a little acknoledgement on a gamebreaking issue for a class would be nice, we understand it may take some time to fix, but right now it feels like the problem is bring ignored and swept under the carpet.

  6. Can we get some sort of idea when this is likely to be fixed please? I was hoping it would be fixed in the patch today, but nope, its not, this is game breaking for anyone who tanks as a PT thanks.
  7. I have done some testing with this bug as I played on my PT last night. There seems to be two issues I can see that happen. The first is the proc itself for Flame Engine doesn't always go after you use it. So even when you have used flamethrower, you still have the button light up and the buff on your buffs bar. Now as i was doing some stuff my class buffs ran out and I noticed the proc itself would then go away like it was used normally. So I did some testing with each of the buffs in turn. Turns out when your class Buff (Hunters Boon) is on you, the proc from flame engine isnt used around 95% of the time, a few times it will go, but its not uncommon to have it still active. The second part is even when the proc is taken, it still gives heat, but it seems to give you only around 10-15 heat instead of the 20 it says it costs. I havent done too much testing with this part, I may do a little more on it later, but I only noticed the reduced heat part towards the end of my playing, didnt have time to fully check up on it. I submitted all my findings in bug reports in game to help them work out whats going on. Right now the only way I can stay under heatcap is to be stunned alot and run away and jump at targets as much as I can, at least the two free flame bursts help keep heat down at time. Not saying its not impossible to play like it is now, but its close, means changing how you play completely.
  8. I know we havent heard anything, but just pm'ed both eric and tait in hope of getting a response to this, and bringing it to their attention if its not already there. But we really cant go on like this as its killing RP on RP servers and we need a fix hopefully before the next scheduled patch in 2 weeks
  9. ANy chance we could get a idea on another hotfix? As well 3 weeks of this is goign to seriously kill RP servers, as we cant go on like this at all
  10. Still there on the proginator, people walk in and it acts up badly, people walk out it does the same, making it hard to rp with people, and we play on a rp server, any news on a fix?

Its still happening on the The Proginator (server spelling maybe wrong but its the english rp server in europe) some of my guild cant see say, some can, but no one can see what the other faction says in say, which is kinda messed up consdiering its a RP serever and we had planned a cross faction even tonight for NS. Completely ruined it.
  12. My thoughts would be to maybe ask a explantion of the devs of lightnings playstyle in pvp and how they came up with it. It seems to be a true ranged hybrid in all sense of the words, its a hybrid turret/kiting dps who can also heal. It needs to stand still and also kite. As a lightning player, I can kite some of the worse players easily, but when it comes to the better players the tools are not quite there for kiting the ones who have a clue about pvp. It has some tools to kite. but they are a little weird, overloads knockback is too short but it roots which is good, force speed which allows us to escape as long as we can not get rubber banded back to where we came from. We have 2 sloves and second root on CL, but that we need to proc to use and getting that proc is very rng if you get it at all. We have no protection against any of the roots most other classes have and it seems the classes that cause the most issues for me are melee with the amount of gap closers in game. If we were to just kite, I think it could work, but seemingly we have to be a turret to dps, we cant dps on the move really as what we have is well pitiful and wont kill anyone. I dont really have a issue with the dps we do in pvp, thats fine, our burst I love and when we get the time to cast we can do it well, but its getting that time to dps against people who have a clue about pvp that causes issues. I would love to know where the idea for the kiting turret came from, and maybe in that explanation we can get a idea of what they are willing to give us as right now we need that one extra thing to make us competive truly without having to rely on everyone else on our team to do well. Im not the most elegant of speakers so that will appear like a wall of text. I dont claim to be the greatest at pvp, but I know my spec well. As for it being a question for litghting i think it may even get better results that complaings abotu our glass armour or wishing more cannon for us.
  13. Are you facetanking a Lightning Sorc or are ytou using LoS to your advantage? Lightning Sorcs will hurt alot if you stand there and let them cast, but if you keep breaking their line of sight, forcing them to run after you you stop them from hurting you as much as they cant run and cast. Your balance which is the same as madness if I am correct so that means your damage comes from dots, keep your dots on them. Run, when they hit you with affflictio9n cleanse it as if you dont TB will be a autocrit. Just keep running and use the battel field to your advantage. Oh and dont forget to heal yourself to full, they will so you should too. Do that and you should make them pay for attacking you.
  14. For the pvp side of creating distance i have a idea which way or may not seem op. But I think it will help. Right now against most other classes in the game we struggle to make distance due to leaps rolls and pulls. How about if when we were to cast force speed, for the duration of it we would be immune to leaps and pulls, Then for say 3 seconds after it too, This would allow us to create the space we want, might even get a attack or two off as well before we get leapt on again, distance is closed and we are interupted again. I think it would help a little bit, I mean we could have some of the snipers protection for a short amount of time, but opeartaives can stilll hunt us down, and well we can still be interupted but at least Lightning may stand more of a chance of doing something then.
  15. Or shock horror, do the PvE quests first, then go into the PvP area, that way your safe while you do the PvE stuff. Or just spend 5 minutes doing nothing between quests. If you dont want to be attacked on Ilum there are ways not to, but if your flagged, and I see you, you are fair game, I am Sith, its what we do.
