  1. Hello, The weekday raid team in <E x i l e> is looking for 1-2 people who are interested in progressing on Gods from the Machine HM. Raid Days: Tuesday, Wednesday Raid Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM Pacific Faction: Republic Role: Any (DPS preferred) Current Progression: Nahut (3rd boss) Please PM me if you are interested and we can hold trial runs to see if you are compatible with the group. We're a fairly easy going group who've lost members to other commitments and poor internet connectivity. We especially like people who are versatile (ie. capable of and willing to play several roles), but if you're great at what you do, that works too. If you want to get a hold of us in-game, please mail or message Ragnokk, Arcutas, or Jainá (Alt+0225). Looking forward to applicants! Losh
  2. You should never be encouraging players to get by with doing the minimal amount possible. That said, the OP didn't ask about this, and your post about what is the minimum 4 abilities is horribly misleading. That kind of advice leads to PUGs failing flashpoints, so please, don't give bad advice!
  3. As others in this thread have said, it's something that you can deal with by being crafty (blowing up longer lasting bombs). However, there is another method if you are desperate to avoid multiple bombs. Among the changes in 4.0 compared to 3.0 is that you hit Blaster's percentage thresholds for when resonant probes go out much quicker (the HP of the bosses wasn't buffed accordingly whereas the damage dealt by the bosses was overbuffed ). This means that you can control your DPS output, and thus control Resonant Explosive Probes timing. I don't recall the exact threshold, but asking all 4 of your DPS to do less than 4-4.5K DPS (overall 20-21K DPS raidwide) ensures that even the longer lasting probes explode by the time the next set come out. This will probably make your DPS whine, but it's a pretty effective method of reducing raid DTPS in phase 1.
  4. I can confirm that Deflection with the appropriate Heroic Utility does work as an Assassin/Shadow. Just use it once Impel starts channeling and don't have your back to a pillar. You likely won't be able to cheese Impel with it more than once though because Revan will probably be pushed to 64% before your 1.5 min CD on Deflection is finished.
  5. Bump. We are still looking for a quality tank for the weeknight team (twice a week, starts around 7 PM PST). If you are interested, please whisper or mail me in-game (Lossh).
  6. As long as your tanks and mDPS are smart, this shouldn't be an issue at all. Yes, he doesn't "face" the tank who has aggro properly, but as long as you know who has aggro, you can rest assured that despite animations, the damage is being apportioned properly.
  7. Not sure why you lumped Coratanni and Sword Squadron with Marksmanship. Seems to me that DF/Viru is superior to SS/MM in both fights (assuming you have someone who can put the armor debuff on the bosses of course... if you don't, then you're serving the raid better with your utility than potentially higher DPS).
  8. Wouldn't it still be better to use TK Gust first before TK Wave if Gust is available and Wave has its proc going? That'd keep Gust on CD like you want, no?
  9. Actually, Dread Guards isn't much of a DPS check anymore and oddly enough, the tentacles for TFB in phase 2 are (the boss enrages if you're too careful about avoiding slam or w/e and lack DPS that way => more sustained, less burst for most people?).
  10. QFT. Guardians, especially pre-30, have great tanking and damaging ability.
  11. This please. The SR-2 model, XO and Yeoman included.
  12. I totally agree that in a full scale battle of empires, the Galactic Empire would win. I just question whether Sidious could really be more powerful than a guy who consumed the power of all the individuals in his home planet (N-something?). Besides, lightsaber combat between two Sith Sorcerers (I think they'd both fall under that category) is pretty pointless. It'd be a contest of will and force power.
  13. Right on! Who needs Doc with the Amazing Tank and DPS duo?
  14. I'd take Thrawn over any of your mentioned commanders. In a one-on-one, I'd probably go with the Emperor to be honest. He's supposed to have taken the power of an entire planet into himself. Palpatine, as insanely powerful as he was, never did that.
