  1. They need to go big with 7.0. Star Wars is getting some wind behind its back.. and this game is starting to see some of it from all the shows and stuff, but that will not last. MMOs can and should change. Time for them to get with the times, time for them to update this game. It needs more than just new story.
  2. This game still has untapped potential. That is the sad thing, The gearing now is the most fun I've had in a mmo. It is genius to gear at whatever pace you want, doing whatever content you want and can get a very strong char. All they got to do is improve the classes, have a major story arc like they enjoy to do. Bioware does not understand, the first thing many of us get asked when trying to get people back into the game. Did they improve the combat? Is the classes still bloated?
  3. Np i typed it fast and messed up some but glad you got the idea. I wanted to show that you can be pretty creative with the classes what we got now. I would love the rage system to change so when you get max amount it slowly drains but you are empowered. Like Rage for sith and one with the force for jedi.
  4. I'm not saying that it needs to be like them, but the core class design itself. They pretty much stole most of the ideas from classic wow, and wow class design changed over years. Some like some don't. The point is at least it changed. A mmo keeps changing, and people are not going to be happy and people will leave. But if the game is going to grow, it needs to make decent changes to the number one complaint about the game. Combat. (second is graphics but good combat>all.) For example, Vengeance sith. Once you got the stats, rage feels pointless and you have tons of defensive cds that is bloat, you could combine many or buff some to have bigger impact. Heck in pvp, all the defenses cds don't mean jack. and in pve they become tedious to the point where you can cycle through them making them feel less like a choice and even less of a impact. Your skills should have a impact. What I would do is remove rage cost of all skills. Take away a few of them like impale. Assault builds only 1 rage. Sweeping the same 1. Force scream lower cd and adds a nasty dot. (only 1 dot.) and Smash still spreads that dot. But assault builds rage, and has a chance to proc Shatter or Ravager that hits much much harder than it does now. (since you want to pull power from losing 2 other dots, but still keep it a dot build.) Once you get full rage. Your rage slowly drains and you are empowered also you can use all skills without proc. Still keeping hew and saber throw. But gets rid of sunder assault and furious power. I hate furious power with a passion. The most dullest skill i have ever seen. I mean it is just an idea, but that one change still keeps the idea of the spec. Changes it to not play the same giving it own flavor. And is way more interactive in a fun way more than a tedious way.
  5. I'm just going to say this. No matter how good the story is. No matter how good the content is. It is not going to mean much if classes stay the same, and skill bloat stays. BDO is proof that combat beats all it is still going strong and the story sucks. End game pve content most players don't have gear for. Yet, some how has a strong community because the combat is so good. Yes the people now scared of change and even mention skill bloat makes them be like. "No I don't want this game to be like gw2 or eso." And I'm just like...Do you understand just how bad the combat is right now? The developers are so creative bankrupt that they added the most boring skill for my warrior. Furious power. A button I hit just to buff my damage. Like this combat design is so out dated, and so clueless.
  6. Having it channel sucked, but lets be real here. Classes need a revamp, and skills need to be trim down. Ravage I would be ok getting rid of.
  7. 64 bit client. Skill bloat trim down. Two things that I really want. No matter how much story you add won't matter unless we clean the skills up.
  8. Not being rude, i was mostly talking about people i've talked with in game. And I figure one of the more die hard players would go to the forums. Is all I was meaning by that. Any changes come with risks sadly, and eso bleh. Pretty much for me. On my jug rage feels kinda pointless, and i got so many defensives that the choice to use them is water down when i can layer them in the way it is design. oh and pvp they dont even matter lol.
  9. The very sad thing is, I thought more people would disagree with me, but even the ones who enjoy the classes feel like something needs to change after all this time. A mmo is ever changing after all. That speaks volumes to me.
  10. Correct, it sure as heck not the combat or class design. This skill bloat is so bad.
  11. Ya, like if this game took some chances and fleshed out the combat and skill bloat. I think this game could build up even more than it has. I mean i've talked with some people in the game, and i've only found a select few who does not want change. Many of them are saying that they class design has failed, and it really does need a update.
  12. I only play a monthish every few years to do story content, Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the questing, and stuff. What holds me back? The combat. People who like this game will hate me saying this, but I feel like this skill bloat, and class design really needs some work. Other mmos are willing to make big changes, but I feel like this community and developers still has NGE fears, and it holds them back on making combat changes. I try to get my friends into the game, they always tell me the same thing. Skill bloat, and just unfun combat. Skill bloat is a math issue, that can easily be fixed while keep the classes near the same. Let me give you an example. I play an Sith Warrior vengeance. People tell me it is the easier spec to play, and I agree. The thing is...that does not make it less tedious. I come back and they added a tedious skill that feels very little impact unless you get the set, and it is the most boring skill i have ever seen. Furious Power. For one, the rage bar might as well not be around. I really don't feel like it matters at all, with the rotation and cd all lined up. All it does is forcing me to use Sundering Assault first. A fancier way of what putting a debuff on a target. It would be the same thing, because Rage players very little impact. The defensive. I mean do we really need that many? For people who don't know https://sites.google.com/view/merlyn-swtor/imperial/sith-warrior/juggernaut/vengeance-juggernaut 6 of them, Oh and skill like impale feel very uneventful when pushing. I'm not going to sit here and complain and say I have no ideas how to fix it. I do, and it won't make everyone happy, as you can't really do that. My change to spec would be something like this. Get rid of sundering assault, Enrage, Furious Power. Endure Pain buff the other defensive Combine Saber ward and reflect and keep cd 1 min. I mean even in pvp all these defensives don't mean jack. So combing them and buffing them but having less would go a long way. Core concept. Sweeping strike and Assault gets a buff. It will be your main attack. None of your skills take rage, and both attacks build only 1 rage. Ravage has a chance to make your next sweeping and assault do more damage. Your other skills will still add dots, and smash still spreads the dot. So what changes? When you get full Rage, you get a buff One with the force becoming enraged. Your rage slowly drains but you are faster and stronger You become empower and your skills. Not only do they give a nasty dot, But your assault or sweeping has a chance to proc one to take a random skill off cooldown. I mean that would be the most fun for my taste. And I know many would hate it. But this idea shows just how creative you can be with these classes.
  13. I mean i log on today to get some stuff done, and queue times are crazy..and hardly anyone is doing the new content dailies. Ya...I'm sick of it. I come back for the story, but even that felt lack luster. Whoever made the sith warrior story. I love and hate that person. Because I keep coming back wanting that greatness, and what I get is well this.
  14. What? This game is a failure. Who the heck thinks that billion dollars on this old game is something to brag about? You are crazy, to think this game is on the level of ff14 eso heck even guild wars 2. I'm sorry, but I can't debate someone who thinks this game is doing well.
  15. I don't understand how people say it is harder. I run very little risk of dying. Anyone with basic MMO understanding is not dying to this "tougher" stuff. All they did is make it take longer and be more tedious. With a bloated underwhelming skills. i am not shocked at all people not doing end game content that much.
