  1. I just wanted to thank you, BioWare, for the performance updates you have been doing to make SWtOR play better on older graphics cards. I have an ATI Radeon HD 4350 and when I first started playing the game, back in the last couple phases of Beta it ran fairly smooth. Then, for about a month or so after release, with each consecutive patch the game began running worse and worse for me. It got to the point where I could no longer stand playing the game, even at bare-minimum settings. After reading about the myriad of updates that were to improve performance, I decided to give the game another try, as I just love the game - was just unable to play it smoothly. To my pleasant surprise, SWtOR now plays really smooth with Texture Quality and Anti Aliasing both on High and the rest on minimum settings, even in my native resolution of 1680x1050. Now, with 1.3: Allies update, the game runs noticeably smoother yet. I know my graphics card is quite out-dated and really should be replaced. It is a matter of being able to afford such a luxury that keeps me from doing such, as graphics cards cost way too much in my opinion. I am so happy that your brilliant development team and the corporate decision makers are allowing for the game to work better, even on older video cards. Being able to run this game without having to donate my organs on the black market to afford new equipment is really the only factor in whether or not I shall continue playing SWtOR, at this point in time. So, once again, thank you!
  2. I can barely even run the game anymore despite being able to flawlessly run EVE, WoW, LotRO, TERA, AION, Rift, STO, CO, CoH, DCUO, and so on.. (many of them I dual box too, with no performance issues). Unfortunately, as fun as this game is - I cannot justify the monthly payment for a game that has such horrible performance issues on machines that there should be none - I've just broke down and cancelled my subscription. It is sad that EA continues to ruin it's already soiled reputation and yet another company that they have bought and reformed. EA, please leave RPGs alone and stick to sports games.
  3. I just watched this episode, I also had closed captioning on. I remember this line and I do not remember thinking that he was referring to the Rebels as the ones tending to build Death Stars. Anywho, from a transcript of the line, you can tell from sentance structure and punctuation, that the word, "their," contained in the second sentence refers a the proper noun within that same sentence. In this case, the noun would be "Empire" as denoted by the adjective use of the word to describe Sheldon as a man, "Empire man."
  4. Credits: 6,929 Level: 30 (started in Early access) Jedi Shadow Professions: Art/Arch/TH Primary source of income: Daily Space Missions Secondary source of income: Selling materials on GTN Primary credit sink: Skills (still haven't been able to afford them all.. skills are crazy expensive..) 5. What annoys me the most about the "auto camera" is not the rotation but the auto zoom. Say for instance, I am zoomed in real close - I then go and zone or have an npc conversation. When I am back viewing my avatar and the world, the camera is at the correct zoom level, as it was before - however, upon zooming in or out, the camera automatically tries to zoom all the way out. I get annoyed at this the most, I do believe. I was told this was an intended launch feature by a CS Droid (Ticket 2945967) and that I should just watch the SWtOR news or patch notes for any fixes or changes.
  6. I'd love more, in-depth, information pertaining to the Legacy feature.
  7. Indeed. It is often game mechanics that define how much discontent and conflict there is between the play-styles in their respective communities. One sees more hostility between them in communities of games that gear specific features towards specific play-styles. In contrast, games in which content is dynamic towards play-styles, one sees far less discontent.
  8. I am male, I play 6 male characters and 2 female characters. I am in favor of same-gender romances. Before I start deciding how I think it would work best in the game, I would first like to see how BioWare plans to implement it. I do not feel a proper opinion of such is something I can make without knowing what BioWare has planned and why. Regardless, I still feel this is a feature that should be in the game and am pleased to know that it has been a planned feature for some time now.
  9. I personally feel that all new MMOs are subject to people burnt out or fed up with [insert any MMO here]. I know I am one such person. I do not however compare this game to [insert any MMO here] nor do I want it to be anything like [insert any MMO here] - I got burnt out and fed up with [insert any MMO here], I don't want the same to happen here.
  10. I do not feel they should just give insta-travel to any planet. The closest to that, I think, would be to have insta-travel to your ship's hangar on whatever planet you're on. The fleet is small enough to not need this but could come as part of such a system. So, my thoughts: No for Galaxy-Wide Insta-Travel. Yes for Insta-Travel to your ship's hangar on the planet you're on. (or another option would be to put a bind location in each of the ship hangars across the Galaxy and let us use our global travel to select that bind terminal) I think the main reason why so many are annoyed by the current form of travel is the many load screens it takes to get from point a to point b. If it were all more seamless, then I do not think there'd be much of an issue.
  11. No problem! Yeah, as the other poster stated, imdb.com has a text list and some have headshots too. Here you go: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1320395/fullcredits#cast
  12. From what I understand, the droid that you get with your ship (C2-N2 for Republic), brings your ship to whatever planet you're on. I have no problems with this and actually thank the devs for this, as it would be an absolute nightmare to try and remember where I left my ship last...
  13. I went and made two large images of that part of the credits, and cropped together the screenshots: Bandwith warning: images are quite large and may take time on slower connections. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/zeb3/swtor/swtor_vo_actors01.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/zeb3/swtor/swtor_vo_actors02.jpg Mind you, this was done during the Early Access, I do not know if there has been any additions since.
  14. *dismiss this reply - just rating as I forgot the first go'round*
  15. My apologies, I always seem to forget to rate the threads on my first reply to them. There really should be an easier way to do this - or at least let us Edit and Rate if we didn't.
