  1. Hey, Have an armor set i desperately want to equip on Ashara, but because my character is DS and the items are LS she cant equip them. Having alignment restrictions on companions that corresponds to player alignment makes very little sense as all but one characters are generally clear cut light dark or neutral. Plus we all know Asharas never using force lightning so if anything she should really be locked to light side armors, not dark like my character.
  2. Hey, I have some armor pieces i want to equip on a dark side (currently DS2) character but the pieces are LS2. If i get myself to LS2, equip the armor pieces on my companion and then go back to DS will the pieces be unequipped from my companion? Will they be unequipped when i start KotFT and lose the companion?
  3. That would mean dropping my 600 armstech, then levelling armortech up to 600, just to find out something that anyone who already has 600 armortech could tell me. There's only one bit i need on the GTN so that's out of the question. The new stuff from the Light Vendor however is almost exactly what i want, not keen on the glowing blue in amongst a white and gold armor, but beggars cant be choosers, at least my main has the right stuff. Guess i have to dig out my light side char and get farming some tokens. Thanks for the help.
  4. Hey, I have 4 pieces of Dread Forged gear which no longer drop on a character and i want another copy of them. All 4 list as having been made by people but theres none on the GTM on my server. If i was to drop my Armstech, get my Armormech up to 600 and reverse engineer them, would i be guaranteed to learn the recipe on all 4 or would the chances be the same as that of learning an improved version, aka 10-20%? Thanks
  5. Guess my only option is finding someone that has reverse engineered it then, thanks guys. Edit: Had an idea, Long story short the look I'm wanting to replicate is the armor set that is on my sorcs Ashara, onto my assassins Ashara. If i was to learn Armortech on my sorc and RE them, would the chance to learn the schematic of the 4 pieces of Dread Forged that i already have be 100% or would it be, if memory serves, the traditional 10% to learn a schematic?
  6. Hey, have recently come back to the game from before the story / normal / hardmode, CXP stuff, etc was implemented. Have a shopping list of items i would like for appearances, some of which used to drop from Hard Mode DF / DP (Dread forged gear). Will the ops still drop these items or will they only drop the T1-4 stuff that i can see on the fleet now? The GTM seems to have only 1 or 2 of the bits i need, so looking for people who can craft them doesn't look hopeful and I'm skint so would sooner farm them if i can. Thanks
  7. Everyone seems to be comparing Thanaton and Baras, saying that Nox is weak because he needed spirits to beat the mediocre Thanaton and that Baras was a long, gruelling test of strength, abilities and endurance that showcases how good the wrath really is. Neither could be any further from the truth. Lets look at Thanaton. He is the head of the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge. This Sphere involves gathering ancient Sith artefacts and knowledge. This means that he will be better versed in the ways of the force then any other member of the Dark Council, for that is his job, and he is very good at it. This is shown by him knowing the Star Wars equivalent of Avada Kedabra. With a flick of his wrists he instantly kills Nox, without even needing to break Nox's Force Barrier. The fact that Thanaton is able to do this demonstrates an extremely high force potential and knowledge of the force. No other force user that we have seen can do this, needing to rely on lightning or force choke. For this reason i dont think it fair to say that Thanaton is weak and does not deserve to be on the Dark Council. As for Nox, He DID NOT need the spirits to kill Thanaton. Nox does not use the spirits until right at the very end. Even before then Nox easily swats away Thanatons lightning with ease, until Thanaton uses a force ability that is quite frankly far beyond anything we have seen in SWTOR. This is the only thing that Nox uses the spirits for, to break out of that. After this, the spirits recede and we go back to Nox, who then with a single hand easily holds back Thanaton and brings him to his knees and forces him to bow to Nox's power. Now lets look at Baras. What have we ACTUALLY seen Baras do? Nothing. Baras is a Sith that relies on working in the backgrounds and shadows, using spies, political intrigue, information and blackmail to get what he wants (Think a really Evil Lord Varys from GoT, they even have the same build) and relying on multiple apprentices to achieve what he cannot, killing people in combat. I would go so far as to say that Baras goes against everything that a Sith should be. He tries to lie and trick his way to supreme power, instead of taking it by force for himself. When Thanaton fights the Inquisitor he brings his entire power base to the galactic stage and declares all out war on Nox. Baras plays dirty and tries to kill the Wrath in a cave in. If Baras had any meaningful level of fighting prowess why not just kill the wrath himself and leave no room for doubt that not only is the Wrath dead but that he is a competent fighter? Given that Baras is clearly more of an agent or spy then a fighter, i think it is a fantastic demonstration of how weak the Wrath actually is that He/She just cannot get Baras to stay down. It takes not once, not twice but three times before the weak Darth Baras cannot get up again. Nox brings potentially one of the most powerful force users in the galaxy to his knees in one go. Given the above i don't think there can be any doubt that not only would Thanaton easily crush Baras in a fight, first and foremost with his "Force Avada Kedabra", but that by extension, Nox could easily beat the Wrath, with or without spirits. If I were Nox, the first thing i would do would be to go to Thanaton's filing cabinet and learn how to use said "Force Avada Kedabra". If Nox, one of the most naturally talented force users in Swtor plus the power of a Force Spirit were unable to withstand this ability then it goes without saying that the decidedly mediocre force power of the Wrath would not stand a chance. Time and again we have seen that in a fight between two jedi and sith, the one with the greatest mastery of the force almost always wins, ignoring Deus Ex Machina, luck, etc. The combined power of not only increased potency of force abilities such as lightning or telekinesis and that of increased force speed, able to boost even an old man to levels that by the incredibly arrogant Anakins own admission, would easily beat him in a fight.
  8. I know this has been asked for a few times but we still don't have it and it seems an easy thing to implement. I would like to be able to go back and watch cutscenes and cinematics that I have previously done on my character, for example the cinematic where the Sith Sorcerer: This is one of the coolest cinematics I have seen in a game and would love to be able to see my character do it again. Seeing someone else's character do it in a 720 res 30fps fraps recording on youtube is not the same. Dialogue options would still be choseable but would obviously only be cosmetic and would not cause changes to the current story. Ever wondered how differently one of the KotFE cinematics go if you chose to use or not use This would be how you can find out, without having to make story decisions that you don't want to. This could be implemented by something as simple as a holocron on the ship of force users or a display screen on the ships of non force users or simply a new option on the esc menu. With more and more being added to the story it is easy to forget some of our characters previous exploits and it would be nice to be able to get a refresher on what they have done.
  9. This has been done far too many times and there are far too many variables to consider, but generally: Nox is far too strong with the force for the wrath to be able to cope with. Wrath's force abilities are average at best. Equally, the Wrath would make mincemeat of Nox in a lightsaber fight. Much like Thanaton, Nox would be able to ragdoll the Wrath, put them through several walls and generally deep fry them with lightning and the wrath would be utterly helpless. If, and that's a big if, the Wrath by some slim chance managed to get into melee range of Nox the Wrath insta wins. TL;DR: Sorcerer Nox beats wrath, Wrath (probably) beats Assasain Nox (if he/she/it is lucky).
  10. There is a running internet theory that Kylo Ren is basically a Snape rip off. After losing someone he was close to / loved (Buried in what appears to be a grave that Luke is standing over?) as a result of his playing with the dark side he becomes a double agent and gets close to the leader of the bad guys (Voldemort / Snoke) and has to murder someone close to him with there permission (Dumbledore / Solo) to gain enough trust with the baddies. There are videos about it by youtube theorists such as the SuperCarlinBrothers and makes for a compelling theory. As for how Rey beats Kylo, there is also another theory that says that like the ripple in the dark side caused by Plagueis and Sidious that pushed the force to create Anakin, the Force also created another Immaculate conception following the death of Sidious or some other event, resulting in a second immaculate conception, Rey (which would make her Anakins brother and Leia and Lukes uncle). This would make her of similar natural ability to Anakin and thus able to b*tchslap Kylo. Both are just theorys, make of them what you will.
  11. I would settle for one. 1. Have my SI pull out his army of ghosts and ragdoll Vaylin with added lightning for good measure. Wether it is her that gets ragdolled or it's still the SI that gets ragdolled, I really want to know if it makes the SI as powerful as her.
  12. The issue with the "legendary" weapon and Vaylin is that from what I can tell, Vaylins saber skills leave a lot to be desired compared to her brother, but she makes up for it in a big way with her force abilities. Have we ever actually seen her in saber combat with anyone else then her mum? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure she would wipe the floor with most Jedi / Sith, her force speed must be insane, but she's still not as good with her saber as Arcann. This is why Arcann has the weapon effect, not Vaylin. Any conflict with Vaylin I think is unlikely to result in her using her saber for anything other then deflecting ranged attacks from the non Sith / Jedi classes, with her instead favouring her considerably more powerful force abilities. To this end it would likely be Valkorians power that we hit her back with. That being said, there is some debate as to if a force walking SI would be a match for her. The only use of force walking that we have seen is the SI rag dolling what should by all rights be the Sith with the greatest force ability in the empire. How this would translate to Vaylin is anyone's guess until Bio see fit to present the SI with the option to pull out the ghosts, assuming said SI didn't send them away.
  13. This is true, however this is the one exception, every other time she has killed one of her own, such as after the reactor has been for one of the examples you listed. I can't remember what context this was in, but I'm pretty sure she was p***ed at the time, so she may have just been venting her anger and looking for any excuse for it. It happens IRL (usually not going as far as killing thankfully) and there's certainly no shortage of Sith that have lost there temper and killed subordinates that have not failed in some way, with only the most composed of Sith (think Marr) having restrained themselves. Am planning to run another character through KoTFE later so will refresh my memory on the odd numbers scene then. In any case, like I said, she's not asylum level insane but she's certainly not playing with a full deck either.
  14. DS Sith are not insane because every instance of killing your own forces that I can think of has met one of these criteria: They have failed in some way They have deserted They have done something to annoy the PC They are allied to an enemy of the PC They have threatened the PC They have refused an order Most of the above would warrant an execution by an Imperial Officer regardless, if not directly then by being redeployed to a world where death is inevitable. This is just how the empire is. In WW1 306 Brittish and Commonwealth soldiers were executed, many simply due to desertion because of severe shell shock. Many Samurai committed suicide because they failed in a task. Look at our own history and you will see that military executions are not an unusual thing until very recently. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she's one of the greatest minds in Star Wars, just that there's more to it then being insane. She and the DS Sith may be insane by our standards, but they live in a very different world. They can execute there own because they have the numbers to do it. Kill a couple of hundred soldiers and tens of thousands will take there place. Remember that the EE will likely forcibly recruit force users all across the empire and republic from a very young age to train and brain wash to make the Knights of Zakuul, likely as young as babies. Killing a couple of hundred for failing is not a big deal. Killing fully half their numbers for sh*ts and giggles? Now that is a problem, even despite what must be vast recruitment numbers. Vaylin knows this. She doesn't like being ordered, but that is insane, even by her standards. That is her issue with it.
