  1. All day ive been trying to get pvp achievements, none seem to be triggering other than my total number of kills for each warzone. damage done, deaths, single blows, nothing else is triggering
  2. Umm... Can I run with you guys, I never get tank gear.
  3. Resilience blocks it. But the cd isn't over before the next shot, I've tried our defense cd but either it just missed or doesn't work.
  4. Assassin tank, on my shadow there isn't a single h4 I can't solo at 50 besides the section x only because they added mechanics to stop me.
  5. That spear drops when the dd goes off I believe, to help, have your tank and your dps run to meet each other somewhere in the middle, the spike falls in between your original positions, continue as normal.
  6. I've had this problem too, it always happens more often when my ping is higher than normal. Its something to do with the connection between you and the servers.
  7. Watch the screams that Zorn does. He does one after whatever animations happen in that current phase, then another 5-10 seconds later, depending on your dps, which alerts you to toths leap. Hit resilence when the 2nd scream happens, then switch targets, you won't take any damage during leap phases again
  8. 1. what they mean by force pull being a taunt is simply it being the opening move. in a way you could call any attack being used first a taunt because it is what holds the mobs attention temporarily. 2. I disagree with force pull giving massive threat, that stupid skill never holds anything for very long, I only use it for positioning a mob in the middle of the aoe were doing, or various other positionings. 3. also disagree with opening with force pull. I too prefer to sprint in and project/slow time. if you sprint in you wont have time for a smooth transition from force pull-project-slow time cus you closed the gap so quickly, and if your running in on Zorn and the ranged dps start attacking and all you did was a force pull, you'll be chasing the boss as he's aggroed a ranged
  9. You should not be able to craft bis mods. Those crafted mods should be able to help you get to the end gear, but not be a requirement to do so either. Ops need to be longer, atm they are nothing more than fp's where you need more people. And the fp's atm have absolutely no bearing on what you do in an endgame op, the gear is far too low to be any help. There are more issues with gear/endgame content then we seem to realize
  10. A gigantic problem with this game, you don't have to run the raids to get gear. 2nd, the majority of your gear should not be moddable, theorycrafters go and do the math's, say I want my gear exactly like this, then go get the mods, of those mods dont exist we get complaints. There's hardly any BiS gear out there like wow had, where you need to kill X boss 3-4 times in order to get it. Moddable bracers should not be better than those dropping directly from a boss. Or any other gear for that matter, we don't need to get rid of the ability to craft top end mods, but those top end mods shouldn't give us BiS gear. 2nd, BW has incentivised running the hardest content in less than 2 hrs. What are we supposed to do the rest of the week. Wow gave us raids at roughly the same schedule, but it also released side raids that really only gave gear to those who hadnt been running the main raid much, bit still offered incentives to run it. Zg, aq20, and a few others I can't remember come to mind. Swtor has released 4 slightly harder than FP raids and has given us harder difficulties of those raids, that's not end game content. thats a rehash of the same stuff.
  11. and moving on... I do like the fact that multiple people have done the maths for mitigation vs w/e vs w/e. in my opinion though, in order to be accurate with those numbers you would need to do them on a fight by fight basis. you cant compare a stormcaller/firebrand fight with a kephess fight and wind up with the same numbers, its not a one size fits all. (im not an advocate of having multiple sets for multiple bosses though, that's just too much for me). spiky damage on kephess is scary, tanks are a bit wimpy. on a side note, I just don't see shielding happen often enough ingame to give it the kind of weight that the maths suggest. many of the bosses just don't hit fast enough, with shieldable attacks, I find myself constantly with 4+ stacks of KW when I go to refresh it, unless dealing with trash
  12. I think a lot of people tend to underrate a 30+ chance to not get hit at all, but that's just my thinking
  13. Now i havent stacked my defense as high as 30+ but i prefer having higher defense than the theorycrafting suggests. im not on my character atm, but i think im somewhere around 28% def, 45/65 shield, and 55 absorb, somewhere around 25/26k hp. i used to have a bit higher mitigation and health but decided to drop some of each in favor of more dmg mods. my overall survivability seems to be about the same(no maths done, just from experience). Im currently using the DG absorb proc relic, and i hate it. all the theorycrafted uptime on the relic just doesnt work in a real fight. in my opinion its only worthwhile on the tentacle phase of tfb. in 1 min it has a potential uptime of 18 seconds, it just doesnt happen, on top of that you then have to shield within those seconds, watching my shield buff most bosses just dont attack you fast enough to make it worth it. Im working on getting the dps proc relic to replace it. back to the original topic, i dont think it much matters between stacking end, or mitigation. as long as your not running around with dps levels of health and youve stacked enough mitigation youll be just fine in all but nim ec.
  14. same way you would gear up yourself. if your a newish 50 use the columi and tionese comms from flashpoints and buy gear from the smuggler vendor. im a shadow tankand i usually run with tharan collecting as many groups as i can at once and aoeing them all down.
