  1. While it may be bad to have a team full of people not trying to win get a terrible beating, there is something worse. I can't stand it when I have a team of terrible players and we still end up winning. We don't need to reinforce the 'trying to win is someone else's job' play style by giving terrible players a win. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when we have one or two people trying to guard/run/capture and the rest of the team is just running around like they are exploring the area looking for Easter eggs.
  2. I'd like autocomplete for mail (like we have with guild and friends) for any character in your legacy. Sometimes I have to open the legacy window to make sure I'm spelling a name right before mailing to an alt.
  3. I'd like that. We have enough in place to help with this already...bolstering/universal planetary commendations/group finder. I guess they just need to work out a 'reverse' bolster system. Imagine all the groups that would be doing the lower level flashpoints if we could be getting basic or planetary comms for mentoring.
  4. I had been sitting on a few thousand cartel coins. Right before they announced the Cathar I spent all of them on cartel packs since I had already gotten most of the things that I wanted for my characters already. When the Cathar patch was here I had no coins. You know who I blamed that on? No one. I can wait a month and then buy what I want with my monthly coins.
  5. Sounds like a wonderful use of the bubble. Like others have said, the guy you are talking about just CCd three of your guys for 10+seconds while they tried to figure out why the guy is not dying. The fact that three people are going to sit there away from anyone who was actually trying to win is a derp for those three clowns.
  6. This assumes that everyone will only have one level 55 and no new people will join the game. I think people forget that players would like to have a good set of 'starter gear' when they want to start doing heroics and operations. Crafting is a quick way to gear up in purples. I just hope they don't make the same mistake they made last time and hand out bags of purple gear to fresh max level people who could have been customers for crafters.
  7. Until they decide that getting gear is too hard and give everyone a free set of level 55 purples that is better than what we can craft.
  8. It sounds more like this will open up end game crafting to more players. The mods people will want to have in order to start end game raiding can be made by most max skill crafters. This just means that end game raiders will not be going into some raids for the first time with better gear than what will be dropping.
  9. My daughter is doing fine with her F2P account. I, on the other hand, play almost daily and I get plenty of valuable play time from my $15 a month. I think the sub type you are looking for is the 'entire game for free' sub. If you want to play the stories and get to 50 then go F2P. If you want to play 20+ hours a week then you should go ahead and pay the small price for that much time spent doing something you enjoy.
  10. I'd say you should make a different character. Retire the Artifice guy in case it becomes usefull in the future. I have every craft skill and mission skill at 400 with my characters, and then everyone else I actually want to play is a biochem\bioanalysis\slicer. I guess that may change if the reusable medical stuff becomes worthless. If that happens then all my characters will have bioanalysis so I can keep mats going on my biochem guys without having to spend extra time farming.
  11. Who the heck would need any of those things you are talking about? And if he does want them, he gets another one of his characters to craft them. The reusable stims\adrenals\medpacks are the only items worth crafting that only the crafter himself (or another character with the same crafting skill) can use. A distant 4th from the three biochem reusables are the reusable grenades you can make for yourself.
  12. Every one of your characters should be Biochem. I'd recommend Biochem\Bioanalysis\Slicing on your first character. Buy the reusable medpacks and stims from the AH with the money you make from Slicing. Since the reusables do not bind on use, you can just pass down the ones you outlevel to your next Biochem character. After you hit max level you can drop slicing for Diplomacy if you want, or make your second character Biochem\Bioanalysis\Diplomacy and suplement Diplomacy with money from your first character. Since you should already have a pile of diplomacy missions from slicing you'll get plenty of the blue/purple mats that you will need. You can have one character that will make all the purple reusables that you may need for all your other characters that way. That means every character just needs to have enough mats to level up biochem. I'd then suggest that every other character you ever make should be Biochem\Bioanalysis\Slicing. Like someone else suggested you can drop Bioanalysis at max level if you already have enough mats to make reusables for all your alts. Of course this is all dependent on wether or not you just want to make things you can use and don't realy plan on farming mats and selling to others.
  13. Because most players are lazy and cheap. If Biochem is the only craft worth having for most players who don't want to spend a lot of money (or grind on their biochem character) then the game is not working very well for most players. I just want to have a reason to play one of my non biochem characters. Now that we have more slots I have 11 characters with biochem, because no other craft has anything useful for leveling/endgame that I can't make on my other crafters.
  14. I've always loved the starter cities. I guess it just depends on how you view story, and how much you like to vary your character. I see a lot of variation in just the first planets. For me it was: First Character- Male Cyborg light side Bounty Hunter that became a Vanguard. Then I played every other starter planet once with variations on species/alignment/gender. Then when I got back to Hutta I played a female Rakata dark side Imperial Agent that became an Operative. That means that by the time I saw the same starter planet I've already played 3 other characters. After you level off the first planet and have already done all the quests on any of the planets you can do the daily PvP and Flashpoint quests and then just do the class quests on the planets. I just made sure to see the world arc quests from a light and dark side character at least once.
  15. How many sets of armor and weapons did you buy from a crafter since you hit max level? If you could sell re-usable stims/adrenals to every other profession you could still make money. Being the only craft that could make health packs is still a way to make credis. Having one craft be the only one with any end game use is just dumb. It should have been this way from the start. Armstech should have been making overcharged cells for more energy weapon DPS, and armortech and synthweaving should have been making armor boosts. Think beyond your only craft that you take.
