  1. I'm just tired of the conquest system being built around being in a large conquest guild ALL THE TIME, and this new "grace period" thing doubles down on that. You can't contribute to conquest for a certain period after you join a new guild-- so this ends the era of joining the big guilds when they're taking a planet you need for Galaxy Conqueror... soo... that's it. No more Galaxy Conqueror unless you leave your toons in these big guilds (and stay active to avoid getting kicked) and hope the planet you want comes up soon, and that the guild you're in goes for it. Not to mention, many small guilds rely on being able to make a new character and add it to the guild, or add one of your few member's alts in. So quite frankly, even if they do want to introduce a grace period to screw over (or whatever the logic is) new members, it should only apply to new legacies -- you should be exempt if you already have characters in that guild. But hey. Instead of pointless buffs to big guilds like this, could we maybe, just for a minute, consider what I've been saying since the servers merged: Introduce guild membership tiers. Tier 1 guilds, say 50 people or fewer, are the only guilds that can declare for small yield planets. They CAN choose to declare for medium or large yield, but Tier 2 or 3 guilds can't declare for small yield planets. Tier 2 guilds can only declare for medium or large (say a cap of like 200 members, or something) Tier 3 guilds can only declare of large yield (no membership cap) -- the cap should apply to legacies, not characters-- And then just freely rotate through which planets come up for small, medium, and large yield, so throughout the year each planet shows up at least once in each category. And just, IDK, maybe give smaller guilds a chance to actually conquer a planet once in a while? I say this already HAVING Galaxy Conqueror, but I've run a small guild for five years now, and it's just frustrating that once upon a time we were motivated to get into conquest races with other guilds our size-- I remember staying up all night spamming Battle for Ilum, crafting, or warzoning to fight one particular guild for control of, of all planets, Quesh lol But now there's no point. You hit personal conquest accidentally by doing one daily and consuming a rep item, one person can hit guild conquest in an hour running GSF, but the giant guilds can do that, too, so by the time you've put up 60k points for your guild, they've put up 5 mil for theirs. There's no point. Get your rewards and move on. And I thought the point of devs was to inspire people to actually play their content.
  2. Bumping this thread because it's been 4 years since it was posted, we HAVE a designated crafting mat storage now (thank you SO MUCH for that!!!), and I'm still dying for a designated toy tab. Actually, two. Hear me out here: - There's space in the existing "Abilities" menu interface-- please, please, I'm begging you-- any reusable toy that recharges your health and class resource, please make them work like mounts. Make them consume on use, and put them into a "recharge" tab in the Abilities menu. Make it so we can favorite them just like mounts, give us a "Random Regen" button we can put on our quickbars if we don't want to put each individual ability on there, and get them OUT of our inventory!!!! - And then the ones that don't regenerate your health/resource, put in a separate tab like pets-- in a "toys" tab, with a "random toy" button for quickbars, and you can pop out the party jawa or the rhythm augmentation droid or turn into a shrub or light off fireworks, whatever. But again, out of our inventory!!! I want to point out that these abilities are cartel market items-- presumably, you WANT people to buy them, and buy them all! I'll tell you right now, as much as I love so many of them, I've stopped buying them because I'm tired of having them cluttering up my inventory and quickbars. And the "random regen" button would be amazing because honestly, I also stopped buying them because what's the point? I put one in my "regen" space on my quickbar to hit in a hurry between combats, and everything else is kinda just there to play with if I happen to be bored waiting for a warzone to start or something. With all the different gear sets and tacticals, all the adrenals and medpacks and stims and renown boosts, all the companion gifts (those having their own inventory like the crafting one would be great by the way!!!), everything cluttering up my inventory, on my main I literally have 69 out of 80 inventory slots filled at any given time. It's such a pain!! And yes, I have my whole legacy storage unlocked. I have my whole cargo bay unlocked. But I have a lot of cosmetic gear that isn't cartel market stuff so it doesn't unlock in collections, I have a lot of 306 legacy-bound gear as I try to optimize gearing for all 28 of my characters, I have mounts and gear sets and color crystals I intend to sell on the cartel market or am waiting to decide which character to use them on, I have different currencies like Manaan Research Data or Recovered Relics that take up cargo bay space, I have XP boosts of 10 different types, and yes, I have toys and regen items I'm waiting to give to characters because I'm not sure which toon I want them on.... my legacy storage is completely, 100% full. A separate Abilities menu tab for health regen toys, with its own "random regen" button for quickbars, would be an INCREDIBLE quality of life increase!! (The other toys tab would be nice, too, but is less important to me.) Please, please consider this idea! You'll sell more toys, you'll give us a ton of inventory space, and you'd make a lot of players really happy. Thank you for reading and considering the idea, and for all the work that you do
  3. Okay so it would be amazing if, on the character selection screen, we could get a popup window (closeable, since I know people take screenshots of their characters on that screen) with the following information about the selected character (accurate as of their last login) - Last login date and/or time elapsed since last login - Guild - Item rating - Amount of credits - Whether they had any GTN listings - Which crew skills they have at what levels For example: If I were to click on a character, a window could pop up saying Last Played: 7/30/2020 (3 days ago) Guild: <The Jedi Order> Item rating: 306 Credits: 1,775,216 GTN Listings: Yes (4) Crew Skills: Artifice (690) Archaeology (650) Treasure Hunting (660) And like, if it's accurate as of their last login, it could change when they log in-- those GTN listings might now be mail of either successful sales or item expirations, they might have gotten kicked from that guild, their crew skills might increase if they log in to completed crafting... But like, still, it would be amazing to know this sort of information without having to log into the character and find out. It would ALSO be amazing to have access to that same information through the Legacy menu!!! So many times, I'm trying to figure out which of my 28 characters has what crew skills, where I left my max level gear, which one I stuck in which of my friends' guilds to help out with conquest that one time, who I meant to check GTN listings on, how many credits I have all together... and as someone with ADHD, and someone who plays on an old computer with long load screens, it's really interminable to log through 28 different characters because I can't remember which is the one I leveled up Biochem on. Having information about our characters readily available without having to log into them (both on the character select screen and when logged into another character) would be a huge quality of life increase for a game as alt-friendly as this one is! Thank you for reading and considering the idea, and thank you for all the work you put in.
  4. Hi, I wanted to ask for two things to be changed/added to the Abilities menu: 1. Please can you consider making it searchable? The Vehicles and Pets section mostly, but it would just be really great if I could, say, see all my tauntaun mounts so I can compare the old ones with the awesome new one without having to scroll through a bunch of different vehicles 2. Please, please, I'm begging you-- add a "toys" section! There are all these wonderful energy pool regeneration toys, a lot of them are sold on the cartel market as well as from vendors and I'm willing to spend real money on them... But I'm not willing to buy any more because TWENTY-EIGHT slots in my inventory are already taken up by toys-- and those are JUST the reusable ones! Not even the ones that get consumed on use, like fireworks or sparkle powder. These are toys that work JUST like vehicles, in terms of being bound on use, unlocking in collections for a lot of them... but when you unlock a mount, you don't have to keep it in your inventory/get a copy from collections in order to use it. Please, especially with all the cool new gear sets that I want to keep on me so I can switch set bonuses, with all the tactical items that I want to have for the same reason, with all the toys from different events and any new ones that come out-- the inventory is just too crowded. Can we please make toys (class pool regeneration toys, jawagrams, pvp banners, holostatues, etc) work just like mounts and pets? When you unlock one, it leaves your inventory and goes into a tab on your abilities menu? We could even have a button for "activate random regen" like we do for mounts and pets. That would be wonderful, and I know I would no longer think twice about buying/unlocking new toys, since I wouldn't have to worry about whether it was just going to take up space in my inventory. Thank you for reading.
  5. Bumping this, because yes. As always, I get that cartel market decorations are a money-maker that on the surface looks like they would be impacted by this. But they players I've talked to agree, they would buy more decorations because they want new ones for new spaces. Plus, the stronghold unlock slots could themselves be cartel market items. I'm willing to pay real money for this, that's how badly I want it.
  6. Hear me out on this one: just imagine a dueling arena (like the small one in Rishi) with a nice viewing gallery, because what would all those Alderaan nobles love more than sitting in the bleachers drinking expensive champagne and watching their champions duel for their amusement? But seriously, the Rishi pvp arenas are SO much fun, my guild wouldn't give them up for the world-- why on earth wouldn't you continue to implement that fantastic innovation in new strongholds going forward? The system exists, and would be fantastic to have in other strongholds as well. I know the Alderaan SH is slated for release soon, so it's a little late to be talking about this now. BUT that brings me to my second point: updating strongholds after they're released. Among other strongholds, the guild flagship and the Manaan stronghold have doors that don't open... what if a patch came out and opened those doors? I know I personally hoped for YEARS to get a Manaan stronghold, and when it did come, the outside was beautiful and the inside... looked like the project ran out of money :/ Would it be in any way possible to release an expansion of the stronghold after the fact? And unlocking and decorating our flagship together was the single most amazing experience my guild and I have had in this game-- but then it was done, and we drifted a bit, trying to figure out what we wanted to do next. The flagship also struggles a bit because we do not have enough hooks available. The hook cap on the flagship is laughably low compared to newer strongholds like Rishi. Is it something worth considering to expand the guild flagship and with that, massively increase the hook limit? TL;DR-- Consider re-visiting strongholds after their release to expand or improve them? Consider adding a PvP area (practice court, dueling arena, whatever) to the Alderaan SH? Consider expanding other strongholds like Manaan and the guild flagship with more rooms? Increase the hook limit on the guild flagship? Strongholds have massively changed gameplay in this game, and have become a hub for player activities. You guys have done some fantastic work with them, and it would be really cool to see that continue. I know games need to make money, and obviously don't have access to information about how much money the cartel market decoration bundles make for the game. But I would think that more rooms to decorate and more hooks available = more decorations bought. I know that holds true for my guild and me. Thanks for reading!
  7. That's my point-- that on the surface it might look bad for profits because of the deco replication system, but that we're all so much more likely to buy new cartel market decos as well as just replicating ones that we already have. I know I'll buy new decos-- I love the new Alderaan bundle that's up, but have waffled on buying it, because what's the point? It doesn't exactly go well on Rishi.
  8. I 100% agree with this. I know that the cartel coin decoration market is a money-maker, and by allowing us to unlock more guild strongholds we'd be able to replicate more decorations, therefore potentially cutting into the "just buying more cartel market decorations for personal strongholds" market. But consider: I know that my personal strongholds are basically just gathering dust right now. They sit empty while I hang out in guild spaces. I don't bother to buy decorations for them, because why spend the money when I'm not using them. I don't often buy new decorations, either, because my guild strongholds are already fully decorated. If we could unlock new guild strongholds, I and my guild would buy more cartel market decorations to decorate the new strongholds. I know the "replicate for guild" feature is probably a big contributor for why we can't have more than the existing number of guild strongholds, but seriously, yes we'll use some of the same decos, but we'll also use a ton of new ones. I would 100% be willing to buy cartel coins for an "unlock guild stronghold slot" (and even, maybe, "unlock guild flagship slot" to get more than one flagship??) cartel market item! My guild's Rishi stronghold is really important and sentimental to us, but this new Alderaan stronghold would be so perfect for our story, and it's so difficult to choose. You could keep making us choose between strongholds.... or you could make more money
  9. I just posted about this in the Strongholds forum--- yes yes yes!! Please! My guild has a lovely Rishi SH that we've put a lot of work into, it's literally the reason our guild came back from hiatus, we wouldn't give it up for anything. But ALDERAAN! A CASTLE ON ALDERAAN!! This new stronghold looks incredible, and I'm definitely getting it as a personal SH, but I feel like it's going to go half-decorated and wither from disuse because my friends and I are always on Rishi. And yes, we can give out keys, but that's not the same as a group space where multiple people can decorate and feel ownership. I know that because of the decoration replication system, guild strongholds probably don't generate as many cartel coin purchases as personal SHs. But I know personally, I've stopped buying nearly as many decos because I just don't have anywhere to put them anymore! Trying to decorate strongholds on my own is kind of exhausting and lonely compared to the exciting and fun experience of cooperatively decorating a guild stronghold with my friends. But we're out of places on Rishi to put anything, and out of hooks on the flagship. Please, please consider letting us unlock (even with cartel coins!) multiple guild strongholds!!
  10. Given how many strongholds are currently available, and in light of the impending Alderaan Castle (OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!! I almost cried when my guild member told me about it!!), is there any way (please, Devs, please!) that we might get multiple guild strongholds? Make it unlockable only by a Cartel Coin purchase for all I care, but we have this lovely Rishi stronghold that we adore and have put so much work into.... BUT ALDERAAN! We technically already have multiple guild strongholds (with the flagship) so the system is in place for it-- please, please consider allowing us to purchase multiple? Consider the implications-- how many more people would buy different decorations for their guild once they have a place to put them? I know you can replicate decos for guilds, so guild SHs aren't as profitable as personal, but while I don't know about everyone else, TBH I barely (if ever) even use my personal SHs, a few of them aren't even completely decorated, because I'm always in guild spaces. I'll be buying the Alderaan SH anyway, and any decos I need for it, as a personal SH... but I kind of see it withering from disuse. I know I can give out keys, but a personal SH that other people can access isn't the same as a guild space that multiple people can decorate and control and feel ownership over. Please, won't you consider allowing us to purchase unlock slots for multiple guild strongholds?
  11. My guild and I keep discussing how amazing an Oricon SH would be, and how it could honestly just be the Dread Palace operation with hooks in it, we wouldn't care, it would just be awesome to have.
  12. So looking at the cost of the new gearing process, I can see just not bothering to gear my characters. Honestly, that's what I did with the 252/258 gear-- I spend half my time on healer, I play several days every week, and I JUST picked up 252 gear for my healer. Up until now, I've just healed in DPS gear because I'm a good enough player to get away with it, and the rate at which we obtain the data crystal currency made gearing absurd. Trying to juggle life and swtor means it's taken me the whole summer to gear my main for both DPS and heals; my other characters are still in 234s to 248s. I don't want that kind of grind with Onslaught, too. I agree that of course there should be some grind, to keep people from gearing all their alts in a day or two. But items are FAR too expensive for how slowly the currency drops, I hate the randomness of it, I hate that they've capped the currency (seriously, why?), just... I'm trying so hard to be excited, but the pointless downgrade process seems like it adds insult to the injury that is the cost of the new gearing process. Listen, my favorite gearing process by far was the 204/208 pvp process. We did the content we were trying to gear for, got currency at a reasonable rate, and bought the gear we wanted from a vendor. Nothing hidden, nothing random. If we wanted to change up our stats (and "play your way," like you keep telling us we'll get to), there's the mod/enhancement vendor for that. We could also buy medpacks and adrenals with that currency, in case we had some to spare. The dropdown menus to sort by class actually worked on those vendors-- why do I have to scroll through ALL THE NEW GEAR IN THE GAME on this one vendor right now? Please fix sorting by class and spec on the gear vendor. Even sorting by "usable" still shows me assassin gear on sorc. But that bug aside, please take a lesson from the gearing system that worked in the past, and one I often see people expressing longing and nostalgia for. Why this love of RNG? Do you think that keeps us playing? It's the most frustrating thing in the world. Like, don't get me wrong, I actually love the idea you can buy the gear piece you want, or you can get a random crate for a much lower cost-- that's actually really cool. But ALL the costs are so high right now, and from what I'm seeing/hearing, those random crates can drop things that are completely useless (my favorite example of this was a jugg who got a blaster)... that's too much of a gamble for me, especially with the price. The point I want to make here is, at least for me, gearing my toon isn't the point of playing the game. I don't want "having good stats" to be a goal I'm struggling to reach. I don't know how many people are playing this game because they want to grind for gear, but I don't imagine that's what keeps most people coming back. Gear needs to be what enables us to play. It shouldn't be an obstacle. You want to motivate us to play? Give us fun content. Give us cool decorations, toys, mounts, companions, and cosmetic gear to grind for, to hope we get from random crates, to drop off endgame bosses and difficult content. I've got a guildie bugging us to push for MM Dread Fortress because he wants the wings of the architect mount. THAT is a great motivator, that keeps us playing, keeps us pushing, keeps us coming back. Not slogging through a grind of the same content over and over, hoping that maybe, just maybe this will be the time the random crate will drop the correct freaking relic. One of the beautiful things about this game is all the awesome cosmetic things you can show off-- the flags, the titles, the decos, the ways to show off that you've achieved something meaningful. I miss a time in swtor where you got the gear as a matter of course so you could get on to doing what you really wanted to do: just play the game. Now, we have to be so consumed by the gearing process that playing the actual game to the fullest has taken a back seat to grinding endlessly for currency and praying for luck from RNGsus.
  13. I agree with the OP re: set bonuses being attached to shells. ALL my gear is in legacy sets; I just picked up 252 gear for my heal spec on Ossus, and without even thinking I yanked everything out and put it in a legacy set, just like I always do... so when Onslaught goes live, that set will be completely useless. I literally only picked it up for set bonus. I'm already mourning the loss of the current set bonuses; I think they're much better than the new ones. I hate that I'll have to carry a different gear set for every spec, instead of just for different roles. But to lose the set bonuses immediately since I'm not wearing the shells those bonuses went with anymore... that's too much. The new gear is way, way too expensive for the drop rate on the tech fragment currency... I can see just not bothering. This downgrade process is really killing my excitement, because I feel like my current gear is going to be screwed while I try to grind for the new stuff. Why can't it just be left alone?
  14. This thread isn't about the General gear sets that can be used by all classes, I love that idea. Rather, this is feedback on the set bonuses as a whole. Mainly, that right now in the live game, we have 2 piece, 4 piece, and 6 piece set bonuses, and those really mean something. On my main, I have two pieces from one set, and four from another, and have therefore gotten to really pick and choose the set bonuses that I want. With this new gear, the 2 piece set bonuses are... let's say underwhelming (just stat boosts, so what), and there are so many 4 piece set bonuses... but what, I'm going to put on a four piece set and the rest of my gear just doesn't mean anything but stats? So much for play your own way-- whatever set bonus I pick, I'm locked into that one and no other, even with the 4 piece sets. Right now on the PTS, I'm using a six piece set even though I only care about its 4 piece bonus, because what's the point of using another set. Two pieces from a different set won't give me a different bonus of any kind except a different underwhelming stat increase, so why would they matter? Maybe it's too late for an idea like this, I'm sure you're already set in the way you're going to be doing things, but just as a thought-- could you please consider on the 6 piece sets, getting rid of the 2 piece set bonus, and making it just 3 pieces and 6 pieces? Both would have an effect, not just a stat increase. That way, when you're wearing a 4 piece set, you can still have the lesser bonus from another set. That's really playing your own way, being able to customize which set bonuses you want to use and which you can do without. And it'll actually matter that you have seven gear pieces tied to a set bonus, not six. Either this, or please make the 2 piece sets worthwhile. Right now gear sets, regardless of the effect, just feel lackluster. I'm glad to see the effects of some of them updating as the PTS goes on, but please consider that we might be feeling locked into a particular gear set by not being able to pick and choose? Consider that probably the last thing you want us thinking when we're trying to get excited about all this new content you've worked so hard on is, "What's the point?"
