They've made an effort in the last pack and this one (it seems to me) to create a .1% rarity tier. Hyper rare highly desirable items probably boost pack sales. I think the biggest hurdle is simply that bracers/belt/boots/leggings/gloves are largely interchangeable. Helmet and chest piece for the most part are the defining pieces to a look. Artistically there's fairly limited ways to increase their value. Mechanically, the collections system is a nice try and it works to a limited extent.

Sage DPS here - I agree that the imbalance comes in pvp when multiples of one AC make it to your team (by chance or in a premade) and to top it off, they are all well geared and have decent skill. Happened to an Alderaan I led last night. One of me is trouble, but easily overcome. However, a random grouping of 6 Sages on our team led a good sith team to call it quits with 275 resources still on the table. Three cap. /rage ensued. It'd be a non sequitur fallacy to think this means our class is OP. It's not. Alone, I'm in my underpants and my survival strategy is to keep you away from me, while doing moderate sustained dps. But 6? There's just too many of a good thing, sometimes I challenge you to win against six of anything. Think about it.

I have one sage toon at 69 Valor, about to be War Hero, so I was pvping on my shadow alt at lvl 10 last night. I took 3rd damage and first in objective, and had the ball the majority of the time as it seems my team was everywhere but mid. Someone then proceeded to call me a very naughty name and rage because I was stunned before I could pass one of the times I took it from center. My question; why is your lvl 10 stealth the only one going for the ball? In light armor? Needless to say, when the stats came up at the end and that person was sitting with their level 44 in the bottom of our team, I let my silence speak for me from the top. If you personally don't like teaming with lower levels, you always have the option to leave. Me? I'm not going anywhere. Do you know how easy casting TK twice even with a 4 second lockout actually is once you're specced for it? Its gauranteed procs. Like the other posters said they couldn't seem to get due to interupts. I steadily get 300-400k a wz as dual spec sage hybrid, i'm telling you, interupts to stop us are helpful, but a good sage/sorc works around it and procs constantly anyway.

Spec for TK to have no cool down. They can interupt all day, the rocks will still come. But again, that's the tradeoff. We sages are like glass cannons. Go pick on someone who actually needs a nerf.

Perhaps you should try less conjecture and more empirical evidence because a) I'm a grown woman with a full time job and I live with and play SWTOR with my significant other. We have no children and dont' waste our time with cable TV, so we play together in our offtime. b) You splitting hairs with my choice of the word "worked" doesn't help your case. By "worked really hard" i just meant, I just obviously did it better and more often than you and the others crying about "getting your fingers stomped" because there WAS NO GRIND for me. And we all start at level 1... Logging in and PVPing once I finished my class quests (back in January) is what I like to do, and for such, I will (or should) acheive BM more quickly than someone who doesn't PVP as much. That's a given. Why is this a problem for you again? c) since this is my first MMO and I've never PVE'd in my life (other than questing to 50), I'll just admit my ignorance right now of what a "carebear gear progression" is. d) trying to whizz into a gatorade bottle would be very messy for a girl. Unlike the others calling me a "carebear" and a 15 year old boy (when I'm an adult working woman) when all I've done is not "grinded to the top in a race" but just PVPed like I like to do.... the gear was just the only obvious and immediate benefit of pvping a lot, other than the rush of slaughtering fools, obviously.

I have a couple toons on the Fatman, and 3 on Corellian Run. I love them both! I really lucked out
