  1. Didn't get time to read every respond in this thread, so excuse me if I repeat something.
  2. 1) A few more planets. I dislike having to level through the same old content for the 3rd and 4th time on my alts. It really puts a drag on the Legacy system which is otherwise pretty rewarding. We should have alternative paths to level through. You could make a really high level area on the new planets for max level players too, to justify the development. 2) Updates to the Collector's Edition Store. Honestly, it is really frustrating. I argue for putting a couple old speeders that are no longer available in that store (Korrellis please!). Of course, many options are available. The same can be said of the Security Key Vendor and the VIP Vendor. They all need regular updates. 3) More cosmetic character customization for sure. I'd start with just a good deal more models for chest pieces, helms, and pants. Plus, make it less restrictive to change your look. Swapping out loads of mods is both time consuming and expensive!
  3. I support the idea of companion customization. Hide helmet seems to be the most obvious one, since many of the companion customization skins cannot even be seen when they wear a helmet. I took my Aric Jorgan's helmet off because otherwise I couldn't see his sweet tiger face that I bought. On a related note, I would support the eventually inclusion of companions being able to use the Unify Color button to make their gear look better

  5. Another thread on this topic was created a while back http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=417947&highlight=korrealis As I posted it it, I am in support of bringing the Korrealis vehicles back in some fashion. "I too am in the same boat as the original poster. I just hit 50 after 1.2 hit and was devastated to learn the Korrealis mounts had been taken out. I bought a Collector's Edition and everything and now I can't get that sexy VIP mount? Seems like a crappy way to treat the customer. I think the "replacement" Tirsa Prime, or whatever its called, is objectively uglier and it costs an extra million credits!!! Bring back the Korrealis series. Make one Collector's edition, price it at the new 2.5 million, whatever...as long as we can buy them again, seriously. I am a Founder, and resubscribed for legacy patch. I feel like my loyalty has been betrayed. I would at the very least like to hear some good reasons from official sources as to why they were taken out. The series had at least four colors right? Can't we get one back?" and in response to the fact that everyone is apparently supposed to keep up with all the TOR news I posted: "Well I was unsubscribed at the time. I played from launch through the introduction of the Founder title, took a break, and decided 1.2 offered enough to come back for at least one month, plus I got a free month through the promotion. That said, forgive me for not keeping up with all the news. I do not recall being warned or informed by any official sources at or around launch that I should keep track of developer feeds because items could be removed, so again, excuse me if this caught me off guard. You do bring up the philosophical debate about whether or not content should be removed. On one hand, it allows people who achieved it when it was "new, hard, or challenging" to feel exclusive. On the other hand, it can stop many other people from enjoying some of the benefits associated with the content. I often find in situations like this that either extreme end of the spectrum is not the best choice. All I ask is for a compromise of sorts. They had at least four Korrealis speeders in the game. Leave one or two in, take one or two out. Seems fair to me."
  6. I often find the middle ground to be a best approach. Die hard adherence to either extreme is foolish in almost any situation, IMO. The game has good features and certainly lots of potential. I want it to really go places, honestly I do. That said, you cannot ignore the many flaws it has, both compared to other MMOs and just general problems. If you like the game so much, I would encourage you and other like you to get on Bioware's case about improving the game. Otherwise, if we accept an average game, that is what we will get.
  7. Maybe the Trooper and Smuggler quest lines are just bad (completed Trooper's, almost done with Smuggler), but I disagree with your characterization of quest choices being meaningful and having consequences, especially anything that is not class quests. Let some guy in Hoth quest XYZ live or murder him? Doesn't matter, you'll just get a personalized mail from either choice and then never hear about it again. In my class quests, I had only a handful of people I could chose to let live or die and as far as I can tell, it did not impact much at all. Again, I think the Trooper quests might have just sucked a lot, what class were you playing? I may want to roll up a character of this class. (Possible side rant: make the Trooper story better Bioware! Combat and story felt like I was a pre-WWII grunt. Seriously, where was the air support, the tanks? I never got on a mounted gun once...I certainly did not feel like an epic trooper. Havoc Squad is supposed to be soo amazing, yet I would not characterize it that way at all. Average more like it.)
  8. I agree with you both. Travel takes way too long. I hate going from one planet to the next...ugh. The ability to go straight to your ship from a planet-side shuttle helped, but I still do not like it. We need to be able to click one thing, like the planet side shuttle and from it start the load screen to another planet. The group summon/teleportation are good IMO, but I would disagree with a fleet pass duration cooldown. Something like 1 or 2 hours tops. And yes, just disable it in certain areas like PVP zones. And on a final note, I think speeders, both personal and taxi ones, take just a wee bit too long to go traverse long distances on a planet. Either that or there are not enough flight paths. Some zones on Hoth come to mind, such as one I recall where the Republic had one base in the far north and the zone was sort of tall and narrow, taking me almost 10 minutes to travel to the bottom end and back just to get one datacron. I could unerstand taking time to get a datacron except this one was just sitting in the open...and not that far from the Imperial's only base in the zone. The travel time investment is just too much sometimes. (Granted, other planets have been better...though few.)
  9. As a diehard Trooper, I agree with the premise. Classes should not be so heavily restricted in weapon uses. Why can't a Commando use a blaster rifle?!? Every gun, with the exception of the scatter-gun because it is offhand and the assault cannon because it would just be too big for Smugglers and Imperial Agents, should be useable by all gun wielding classes. In other words, the Sniper Rifle, Blaster Rifle, and Blaster Pistol should be usable by all Cunning and all Aim based classes, with all Aim classes getting the addition of the Assault Cannon and all Cunning classes getting the addition of the Scatter-Gun.
  10. You rebutted your own attack. It is boring, I can attest. Many can attest, I'm sure. I would love to play all the class stories, just not without all the filler content.
  11. (Emphasis mine) This post does a good job of summarizing some of the main reasons I feel SW:TOR is in decline. I want this game to succeed. Star Wars is a great setting for an MMO, I want my Collector's Edition's cost to be justified, and in general I want a good sci-fi MMO. But I cannot ignore these glaring problems with the game. Bioware has to solve these problems...the game needs to be more fun! I cannot tell you how annoyed I am that for a game that boasts about having story, most of the planet story quests are incredibly boring excuses for a fetch or kill quest. And let's not mention how many of the companion quests do not let you actually run a mission with them. You just see them fad to black as they go off to do something...without you. And seriously, we need alternative planet choices to level up on. I do not want to run the same planets four times for Republic and another same set four times for Imp. Why push additional character leveling with the legacy system when it is so freaking boring??
  12. I just looked over it briefly and I really do not see Devs explaining in detail how legacy name transfers work. I saw a community Question and Answer with one question relating to these transfers. The answer from the dev is quoted at the beginning of this thread and no more information is provided in the Q & A. I also saw a Dev post about the Asia-Pacific character transfers but that, again, does not discuss Legacy names. I asked for a link because I cannot find the source. If I am missing it, please help me out. Telling me to go find it on my own is not working sorry. I guess I'm dumb, I don't know. But again, provide links, not useless posts.
  13. We have official confirmation that one's legacy will transfer as you describe? I don't recall reading this, can you link please?
  14. I posted this in another thread, in response to someone saying the Security Key Vendor needs updated inventory: "As a player who was on the fence about the Collector's Edition, the promise of updated, exclusive loot at the CE vendor was what sealed the deal for me. To say I'm disappointed and feeling a little like I was lied to is very accurate. I know they never promised a specific release schedule but this seems unacceptable. Don't get me wrong. I really want this game to be great and go places. I want the cost of my Collector's Edition to be justified. That said, I've recently decided to become vocal on the forums because I want to put some extra effort in on my part to help move the game in better directions, so I can realize that dream. So while I am complaining, it is only out of a desire to genuinely see the game improve. That said, we all have our limits when it comes to patience." That said, I see the validity of saying that many items should be placed on the VIP or even Security Key Vendor so that the development time involved is more justified. I get that, but how about the Collector's Edition Vendor sells this same new inventory for a lower price? Or what if the CE vendor started selling content that was otherwise removed from the game, like the Korrelias speeders? That way it is exclusive in a sense...but they do not really have to design new content. Compromise? Even just two or three exclusive items every patch for the CE vendor would be a big step up from the current trend. Bottom line, all the three vendors mentioned need better inventory updates and I disagree that CE vendor has to be left in the dust. If he is, it constitutes a clear cut case of false advertising, something I do not think Bioware wants to do...
