  1. Didn't Luke make his own lightsaber (which replaced Anakin's) shortly before going to Jabba's palace? I can understand there being a bit of a passage of time between Jabba's palace and DS2, but I wouldn't think that he was able to learn enough about dueling to actually be more than enough for Vader to handle (something like Starkiller). Now I'm not trying to say that Luke was just a novice when he fought Vader, I'm saying that he was good enough to where Vader couldn't play around with him like he did in ESB. Luke knew enough to be dangerous. In Dark Empire didn't he recognize that the Emperor will not be holding back like Vader did and that he would be his greatest challenge?
  2. Went Vader over Yoda, too bad the good guys always win.
  3. Boba Fett did have some showtime in the clone wars series, and attack of the clones! R2 lost to Yoda, the destroyer of two super-weapons lost to..... grand master of the "old" jedi order (no other accolade comes to mind).
  4. Clarification: Red crystals work better with dark side users (both synthetic and natural), I didn't mean any of the other colors. And there is a source in-universe that even states it.
  5. When I saw Luke lose to Yoda, Tarkin lose to Dooku, and Han to Obi-Wan, I figured that this is a movie and TV show popularity contest and not everything else considered. Personally I would've thought that Wedge would have had a better standing compared to Luke, guess I was wrong. And I feel like IG-88 was under-appreciated, its not everyday that something hijacks the Death Star. I say Vader wins because he's possibly the most ****** antagonist in like all of cinema!
  6. From how I understood it was that the synthetic blades were most common among sith/dark jedi because the places that had natural crystals were generally owned by the jedi, and were most likely guarded. They like their synthetics because they work best when used by a dark-side user so on they could use it to the best of the saber's ability and jedi couldn't. Manueverability I don't think was impacted at all. Red "sith" crystals glow in harmonic vibration when energized by the dark side of the force and they can produce a stronger blade with a rare potential to "break the blade" of jedi sabers.
  7. I think some people like to bring up dead topics just to respark an argument, though apparently at one point someone tried and failed at it. Though was necessarily Meetra, we know that ghosts can travel long distances (Yoda, Obi-Wan, Odan Urr (Kun's master, i think it was Urr)) so the ghost could be Bastilla Shan, because Meetra wasn't described like what the force ghost looked like, but it could've been Bastilla. Though looking at the wookieepedia entry, it says its Meetra was the ghost (though I don't believe it).
  8. Who was window? How it goes is.... all non-crimson (dark jedi), non-archaic (Hyperspace war and everything prior) lightsabers are equal (as far as I know). Crimson lightsabers, the ones used by dark jedi/sith, are best handled by a dark-side user, since the dark-side is what "powers" the blade(s), and they are capable of shorting out other lightsabers because of the unstable energy. Archaic lightsabers are ones that required the power-packs that are (generally) attached to your belt, so they took alot of energy, weren't able to move, and prolly very ineffiecient with the energy so they prolly had a "weaker" blade than the much newer ones, like in the legacy era. I <3 source books!
  9. Vader didn't need training from sidious. This was in the Essential Guide to the Force source book, Sidious LET Anakin be taken to the Jedi Order because it was better to have your enemy train your eventual apprentice then take them when they've got not much more to teach. Sidious did the same with Dooku! "Why train an apprentice to hate the jedi when the jedi can do it for you" (page 169 of the Selecting Apprentices Section). Sidious knew exactly what he was doing. He was not, Vader (Anakin) was the chosen one. Darth Vader was Palpatine's monster (as palpatine oh so eloquently put it). The way I like to look at it is that Anakin was created by the force so i prefer to view him as "The Force Personified." Also it was Vader's job to learn as much as he can, not Palpatine's.
  10. Didn't Vader willingly stab through himself with his own lightsaber to kill the Darth Maul doppelganger, I think the same move ruined some of his life support by the way? And talking about the life support, Vader was able to survive for a while without it. Vader is also a result of the rule of two (started by Bane) which states that each person in the line is stronger than the one before him/her, or supposed to be anyway. But Bane was from a millennium before Vader (which also in that time provided the greatest jedis of the time), AND Vader has killed many many many knights/masters which should hone his skills quite a bit. Vader held back on Luke, think about it, the person who has fought hundreds(?) of jedi losing to someone who only started training like a year before and has had no saber experience at all? I'm sorry but either Vader was holding back (as logic suggests) or he truly was weak and had to die anyway (highly unlikely). He also fought Galen Marek and despite what everyone believes, Starkiller was as good a duelist as Vader (he matched him after all) and he would've died had Marek not sacrificed himself. Vader was created by the force, so in a duel with force powers only, there's no question on who'd win.
  11. Since SoS has a 10.5 cd (according to OP) and electrified rails are 6 sec long and the channel for SoS is 3 sec long, don't you only want to use snipe only once in between SoS's? It seems like you could put an ambush in there at some point. Also something to consider: try using calculated overload shots with cluster bombs, great way to get energy back and maintain most of your DPS. Engineer has been my favorite spec and i'd LOVE for raids with less movement (curse you TfB!) since OS and PP (unless changed recently) made up 25%+ of your DPS (on live) and they're not able to moved Engineer has been viable and i've done as much damage with it than as a marksman and considering the people on my server there's alot more lethality and MM than there are engineers. My parses (from back in September) don't lie, 1700-1850 DPS (dummy) is pretty good for the spec, actually i still get that now but my gear wasn't made with engineer in mind.
  12. Sorry Taero! But since 2.0 is coming near I wouldn't expect me to get the bounty hunter's implant I kinda figured i'd go with my main and my former mains first before getting the bounty hunter's one. Also, looking to make profit out of these, that's why I got the MK-3 Pummeler's it was the last of the "good" DPS implants so I went after it. Its sad that we won't be able to do this with the top-of-the-line gear in 2.0. The crafters will have to work with the second-rate ones.
  13. Hi again! Saleena can make Hazmat Striker's MK-2 Motivator, 93 endurance, 108 willpower, 76 power, 60 surge. Again I couldn't figure out the website so if you could do it for me its greatly appreciated :3 That makes 4 now btw: the Bulwark MK-3, Targeter's MK-3, Pummeler's MK-3, Striker's MK-2.
  14. if they had short character biographies as an essential guide, i'd hope to see something like midi-chlorian counts. but most likely, they mean nothing just like power levels in dragon ball z. i'd say revan's was compareable to... the average master's in the high council shortly before palpatine declares the republic an empire.
  15. The problem for me was that the movies didn't explain everything about what was happening, like why the trade federation blockaded Naboo, what the hell the serperatists were doing at coruscant, and this Count Dooku person who was mentioned very early in the movie but didn't appear till towards the last third of the movie. All three things explained outside of the books. Considering the actors had hardly any background when they were doing anything pretty much, i thought they did fine. The movies make more sense when you know what happened before and after each one.
