  1. CTRL+SHIFT+F activates a fps counter in SW TOR. It should appear in the bottom left side of the screen.
  2. No I haven't, since in the US the person doesn't need to be found guilty of anything for their assets to be seized , while in this case the person in question clearly broke the rules (which he/she/it clearly admitted).
  3. Also, for the people that didn't exploit to get what they deserve Bioware doesn't need to give them anything, they just need to take away from those that don't deserve it. Reducing the amount of crafters which used exploits to gain schematics benefits the crafter who got them properly (either by selling for a higher price or making it easier to sell) and player/guilds that didn't exploit are not in a considerably better position to do/progress in OPS then the guilds/players who exploited. It also makes the time they spend doing things properly, more worthwhile (just like using the exploit devalued the time of players that didn't exploit) ... and time we can spend playing this game is the only finite in this equation. While people are innocent until proven guilty, assets are very commonly guilty until proven innocent and since the player cannot show using the exploit didn't help him acquire the schematics (even indirectly) the only right thing to do is to delete the schematic. The OP claims he acquire that schematics with commendations, so the question here is... are those commendations attainable using this exploit? If the answer is yes, then deleting the schematic was the proper course of action.
  4. Why do you assume that? That was never specifically stated. When he talks about what they'll do he states they will take a look at IT and make changeS accordingly. You claim that IT refers to Jawa junk drop rates, He could just as easily be talking about the general situation, which is backed by the fact he is using plural when talking about changes Such behaviour can potentially lead to sanctions, because rules of conduct do not distinguish between knowingly and unknowingly exploiting a bug. As such the only reasonable approach (if you wish to avoid potential sanctions) is that anything "overly strange" is a bug. An item that has unannounced features that wreaks havoc on the in-game economy falls into that category. It was known that the drop rate might be bugged and get changed (to fix the potential bug) and after we knew it wasn't bugged that they may make changes. That makes it quite hard to argue that the changes to drop rates were unexpected. As said people that got the machines after patch notes 3.0.2a were released could argue they were deceived and I guess people that got the machines before it was know that the machines could be bugged.+ And there is also the part in the TOS where it states BW may make changes in the name of balance. Balance was shattered, it was only reasonable to expect changes that would fix it.
  5. Except for the tiny fact that Eric stated that they are going to take a look and make changes accordingly. So if you purchased after that post informing us that they might make changes, you went in with the full knowledge that drop rates might change. If you purchased the packs before Eric's post on the matter, you were buying something that was under suspicion of being bugged. So if your acquired a slot machine in that timeframe, you went in with the knowledge that the drop rates might be a bug is going to get fixed. So in both cases we knew that the drop rates might change and as such there was no reason to assume they wouldn't be. I really see no reason why they should give a refund. The risk was known, it was your decision, if you wanted to take it. In fact the only people that could potentially demand a refund are those that acquired the slot machines after the 3.02a patch notes were released, since the patch notes were incomplete when it came to slot machines.
  6. Let makes this clear, because people have a hard time grasping this YOU DID NOT PAY REAL MONEY FOR HYPER CREATES. You paid for with real money are cartel coins and as long as you got them, you got exactly what your paid for.
  7. The last time I checked neither cartel coins nor in-game credits were a RL currency. What the players paid for are cartel coins and as long as player got those cartel coins, they got exactly what they paid for. Just another benefit of having an intermediary between an in-game shop and a credit card.
  8. They didn't murder them, murdering them would mean the machines no longer served their primary purpose, but seeing how their purpose was to provide access to older cartel rep and the slot machines still do that, I really don't see how one can say the machines were murdered.
  9. Bioware also stated they would monitor the situation and adjust the machines accordingly, They did exactly that. There was no reason to assume that the machine wouldn't be changed after the havoc it wrecked on GTN prices and gathering crew skills in general.
  10. At this point, I have to ask... what is win rate? Because the way you speak of it gives me the feeling it isn't the definition I know. Because to me win rate is wins / total attempts and with what you are saying the win rate on cartel slot machines is 55%, since 55% of the time the cartel slot machines gives you something in return. While the Reno machines in the most recent link must have a win rate (the definition I used) bellow 50%, since that is the only way for the house to make money (since the minimum prize is doubling a coin). On the other hand, the coin return mucks up the math, since you may buy 1000 coins, but 20% of them got returned, so you in fact had 1200 attempts, while you probably counted only 1000.
  11. Well it is either spend credits or spend time doing OPS, PVP or (for slightly lower tier) HM FPs. Top tier equipment has always been in the domain of people who actually spend time playing the game and the idea that you are not competitive without it is silly. By using planetary commendations you can easily acquire the gear needed to start doing SM OPS and HM FPs. Not to mention slot machines have done little to change the prices of top tier gear, since they require mats one acquires though OPS and HM FPs.
  12. Indeed, no unsubscribe button, but there is a hyperlink that says cancel your subscription, which serves the same purpose. You can clearly see the hyperlink in the picture bellow. http://i.imgur.com/80AM9pw.jpg The only shocking thing here is the fact that you couldn't be bothered to scroll down or write the old republic unsubscribe in google.
  13. So what you are saying is do something I don't have to do for any other part of the game or any other game for that matter. In fact, if I want to see the minuscule 1 pixel difference between the comma and full stop, I have to put on my glasses and lean forward. There are several things BW can do about this, like increase the font size of the prices from 12 to 14, use a different font, use different colours for number before and after the decimal point or give us the ability to set the default sorting settings.
  14. You are working under the assumption that they realize they are making a loss on the GTN. I really don't think many people keep books on it. As long as the amount of credits they have increases I'm willing to venture a guess that most people wouldn't realize that one of their activities is costing them credits if the amount of credits at the end of the week is higher then it was at the beginning, thus making undercutting on the GTN sustainable.
