  1. ...People can stop posting about rage quitting? Dude even I *********** post about rage quiting, but the servers being down for a day is sad reason to do so.
  2. To keep in light with the current state of the forums (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=408675 and the like), I must start by saying that taking more time to fix the game is crazy and I want a year of free game time, plus the upcomming expansion on pre-order! Now, forget the cellphone numbers of the CEOs, I want the personal time schedules of every EA and/or BioWare employee, including their home addresses, names of relatives (spouses, children, etc.), social security numbers, and bank accounts. As a person who pays $15 a month I am deserving of this. On an EVEN more serious note, maintenance happens, nurfs suck. (Yes I infact do hate the 1.2 class changes, but the forums are kinda becomming a joke) P.S. I am a very reasonable person.
  3. So I've been online for a grand total of about 5 minutes. The very first thing I've noticed are PERFORMANCE FIXES. (Mind you I am playing on a laptop, a very good laptop) Very well done. Graphics are noticibly better on my overclocked Nvidia 460m, anti aliasing issues (which would drop me from 50 fps to 8) are fixed, player anti aliasing is very clear without any serious changes on performance, and fleet is running fine. With that in mind, anyone know a *********** decent healer tree for sorcs now? *first edit; legacy (very basic notes, anyone who read patch notes would already know this) Legacy tree is open now, and very pretty, so far it rewards you (with stat improvements ) for getting level 50s with each of the 4 basic classes, as well as maxing out companion affection for them. Just enough of a reason for me to level up alts - just bearly. Still good enough for me I guess. Bonuses also for reasing a level 50 of each race (o. O), and a lot of neat monetary unlocks (fleet pass cooldown reduced to 1 hour for 100k? Awesome!- oh wait... by an hour... meh) *edit 2; interface Little confusing at first to use, but after 2 minutes of clicking stuff you should have it figured out. Amazing change. Seriously, perfect. Only thing I would ahve added would be the option to add a graphing paper like component for the compulsive obsessive to be able to perfectly center their bars. (I used a ruler ontop of my screen )
  4. So anyone else tired of players who post on the forums in neon colors that are hard the eyes? I had a long rant about this typed up, then decided to simply as you all to please stop hurting our eyes
  5. ZOMG guys I just got the BESTEST idea ever from this. There is like this game, right, that you can like control your companions and like do group quests with them, but like, alone, so I always have enough time to play! I think these would be great for you; Mass Effect, Dragon Age. We done here? BioWare decided to fix this problem for you before SWTOR came along, hell they even did it in fantasy OR SciFi. Kinda like vanilla or chocolate, **** you can even pick both! There are cheaper ways to play with yourself (and far better suited for what you have in mind) than paying $15/month to walk around alone in an MMO with the chatbox option disabled, avoid guilds because of their "drama", and in all ways being even more socialy reclusive than your average MMO player- which is an impressive feat. Why? If they did implement this, most of the content of the normal raids would have to be nurfed/removed so that the average person on the internet could accomplish it. Leaving you with realisticly little to enjoy. Many standalone games offer more content (than what you're suggesting) for the soloexperience and the possibility of 2/3 person multiplayer experience. Asking the Massively Multiplayer Online game industry to shorten their name (and purpose) to Online game industry is rather silly. Unless you wanted this to become an MMORPG-With the Option to Play with Yourself. Why are you playing an MMO if you seem to not enjoy interactions with people? I know playing with yourself is fun, even better infront of the computer, but that isn't what this game is made for. I understand that you implied you have a wife and that you can't always play with yourself as much as you want anymore, but then play with yourself on something that is designed for it. tl;dr Solo "raiding" exists and bioware has already made many examples of it for you to buy, don't ask an MMORPG to turn into an RPG (or some perverted hybrid), just go buy one that is already on the market. Edit; I thought about it, and although I had some VERY good points above I decided this should be implemented since it will benifit me as a "hardcore raider". Instead of people who don't understand the purpose of an MMO getting sad and leaving, they will stay and continue to blow $15/month (and they have every right to do so) on watered down crap. This might confuse you, but since this will give the devs more money to make cool stuff for those who understand what an MMO is and why they bought and subbed for one it works out great. edit tldr; ****-it the developers need more money from stupid people, go for it. All you Kabjat.
  6. Do these issues prevent you from completing a pull 100% of time? 90%? hell, 40% even? If not this doesn't seem like a problem and seems more like an annoyance. I'd lke to call it as a L2P issue, but I don't play as a mele tank so I won't.
  7. Prolly harder than we think. But also that would require them to lower the amount of gear that drops since I've noticed there is quite a bit in normal 8 mans. I would rather have nothing drop for me than getting useless gear or seing people who don't need it get it.
  8. Shatter, I think you should have just mentioned that artifice should get something usefull... like in any way... seriously... I'm not even asking for rare colored gems or slightly better mods, but making a lightsaber that requires a fair amount of mats and when it crits it still sucks is just lame.
  9. I've run BT countless time and every time I was there I got ALL + aim gear (I'm a sorc), from every boss, and never got the inq bracers drop at the end (until yesterday, all the other gear that dropped was still +aim though). That being said, I feel your pain everyone, but gear is meant to be hard to get. Not getting it makes you look forward to it in the future and seperates the gamer from a person who wants everything now. Also you can get these peices, for sure, eventually, by gathering tokens. Its a *****, likley you'll spend 3 weeks gathering tokens and after you spend them you'll see that peice drop and win it on a greed roll anyways. But it is an option The only other way that you should get gear is through crafting... which also takes time to farm stuff and/or gold. Unfortunantly crafting is broken and everything you can make through it sucks badly (at least for artifice).
  10. I should feel lucky that a game I'm paying for is doing me a (at very best) basic service? Did your mother drop you as a child? -Normal modes should have the option of master looter -People do use them to gear up for hard modes -Guilds do and should run together, saying otherwise is stupid -It doesn't make any sense to have any content "for pugs only" -Having normal mode 8 mans drop less gear but having the option to chose who gets what would prevent people from getting too geared too fast while not pissing people off. ** Argue all you want, but these things are true and they are an oversight by the developers. **I don't know about you, but I'd rather not get any drops in a run than see my guildie get another peice of gear she/he doesn't need but knows I do. It pisses me off and makes him/her feel bad.
  11. As awesome as having loot auto assigned might sound, it doesn't work too well. As a healer I got 4 peices of dps gear in 1 run... awesome. It would have been nice if I could give that gear to a guildy- but its BoP. So even though he is in the same group he still can't get an item that would have been benificla to him and the guild as a whole, and since I don't (and didn't need any of those 4 peices) it becomes useless. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't enjoy when a game thinks it is smarter than a colective group when it comes to assigning loot, and the /roll is the best way I've seen in any (*cough* every) MMO to settle any dispute between two (or more) players that need the same peice of gear. That or let use trade BoP items to people in our group within a time period plx, which in all honesty sounds harder to impliment than a random number generator that sounds in chat. Also before anyone mentions it as a serious idea that the clicking need/greed/pass thing should be forced onto EVERY roll- it is a bad idea since then you have 8 people that might missclick and ****-up instead of just 1 (master looter). tldl; auto-assign gear stupid, groups/guilds should have final say, /roll solves disputes, why wasn't something as basic as a random number generator implimented at launch?
  12. Alright, all my previous nonsense aside, what happens to the minority if this does catch on? *everything above was tl;dr
  13. @ Gleneagle First of all don't compare people on the internet with (appearantly) nothing better to do (myself included) to a government organization. "Social contract"? Really? Are you trying to make a constitution for the forums of an online game? Btw, in what country could I refuse their social contract "freely"? I beleive doing so is called treason. You could argue that I freely commited treason, but that sounds beyond stupid since because in that cause by simply disagreing with a social contract I never accepted I am charged with treason. *edited in* No appearantly it wouldn't be treason since I'm up in Canada it would be Sedition as found in the Criminal Code of Canada under section 59. Which leads to 14 years in jail (Section 61). *Also edited in*, @ Brosephiine I am glad you're expresing yourself on the forums and as I said earlier I in no way disagree with your right to do so. Infact I'm happy you're welcoming my critisism.
  14. No one is asking you to accomodate anything. If someone posts a "view" that you disagree with you can either post and tell why you disagree with it in whatever manner you feel approriate (as long as it falls within Bioware's rules), or you can ignore it. Trust me, as someone who was born in the USSR (Soviet Russia), things like should be a red flag for anyone. At the same time I disagree with the nonsense this thread is trying to establish, but I will in no way disagree your right to try to. I am simply trying to make you wonder, really wonder if there is any point to it other than you imposing things on other people on the internet.
  15. ^ This. People are working on the game, they also are testing the classes against each other and trying to find way to balance them while also making new content, fixing glitches, checking that their "balances/nurfs" don't break the class, etc, etc. It takes time to properly balance **** since if they don't test their changes to a class they'll have to come back and re-balance over and over again.
