  1. The biggest mistake new players make is with gear, weapons, and stats. First, use the correct armor. If your player can use Heavy, then that it was you want. If Medium, then don't wear Light. You can see your armor "Proficiency" in your Abilities Panel under General. Next, you don't want to use gear that is not the correct main stat. Instead of explaining how the determine your main stat (because there are already a lot of posts for that), I will just list them here. EMPIRE Bounty Hunter (Mercenary/Powertech): Aim Imperial Agent (Operative/Sniper): Cunning Sith Inquisitor (Assassin/Sorcerer): Willpower Sith Warrior (Juggernaut/Marauder): Strength REPUBLIC Jedi Consular (Sage/Shadow): Willpower Jedi Knight (Guardian/Sentinel): Strength Smuggler (Gunslinger/Scoundrel): Cunning Trooper (Commando/Vanguard): Aim
  2. You can flirt with them both, but there are consequences if you try to romance two companions at once. None of ships are that big and if you keep it up, there will be a confrontation between the three of you. (I am speaking from experience. My soundrel had a rather un-pleasant, but humorous, encounter one day with Risha and Akaavi) Too much like real life
  3. You can't re all items, just the same types that you can craft (i.e., armstech re's blasters, artifice re's lightsabers, etc...). Not all items can be re'd for schematics. If it is of the type for your crafting profession, then this is clearly seen if the tool-tip in red letters if that is the case.
  4. It should also be mentioned that if a DPS or Healer is pulling aggro from you, that you should put that player on "Guard". This reduces the amount of threat that player generates by 25%.
  5. It sounds like you are trying to learn the schematic. Are you sure the error message isn't "You don't have the synthweaving talent"? This means your Synthweaving is not up to the minimum required skill level to learn the schematic.
  6. Maybe you aren't close enough to it? About the same as a Chest or terminal. Even if you already have it, it will do the beginning animation. If not, then take a screenshot and open a ticket.
  7. Just before you reach the Emperor, there is a puzzle in center of the temple that will give you gear for T7 for this fight.
  8. You can right click the portrait box and Dismiss Companion then resummon them. Or have them sell trash items and they will return in 60 seconds.
  9. You have two options when getting ganked by a much higher level player. 1. Announce it in General chat 2. Ask (in General) for anyone who might be going to fleet to announce it on fleet in general and hope there are players who are close enough (or higher) in level and willing to provide some payback.
  10. If you have the credits, they will sell you anything. But if you mean it is grayed out, then it might be you are too low level. Most gear has a minimum level requirement in addition to the ability requirement. You get a light saber at the end of Tython and then more gear depending on the advanced class you select.
  11. When you are really over-leveled, you gain less experience. It will eventually even out. I would say drop side quests over skipping class quests. Using inferior armor might make it more challenging, but I wouldn't go that route. You should be able to use the mods for awhile and swap them out as you level up. If you get the planet comm's for quest rewards, you can buy them without using credits.
  12. I always use a mouse with buttons on the side and set those to target next and target closest. Then I can target using my thumb. Are you sure you weren't hitting the R key by mistake (even partially)? This is hot-keyed to reply in the chat window. I changed that binding really quick because it is too easy to hit R by mistake.
  13. You can set the UI scale on each target window individually and don't need to increase the main ui scale. For targetting, there are individual windows/UI Components for... - Player (self) - Target - Companion - Target of Target - Focus Target If you enable the Focus target and target of target, you can set your self as focus target, then target yourself and your character will appear in all four target windows
  14. Maybe I mis-understand the rule "Vanish-Sap-Recouperating ". Are you saying we can't Vanish/Disapper, or sap ot heal? Or are you saying we can't use that specific combination? - Disallowing Vanish for Scoundrel/Operative is like disallowing Force Leap/Force Charge for Knights/Marauders. This hardly seems fair unless you restrict those classes from force leap as well. - Do we assume force camouflage is considered a 'Vanish'? Some clarification, please. I would also like to know the rules on gear. Are contestants allowed to change gear at any time? This would allow players to 'sandbag' with less than optimal gear and seconds before their fight switch that gear.
  15. The funniest guild name I have seen (on The Fatman prior to moving to PofF) was (may not be 100% accurrate...) Two droids, one oilcan
